So many feels. When stepping off the tram, and walking past the security officer, he comments on how Gordan cut off his pony-tail. That, in addition to this song, makes me think Gordan decided today was a new day. It didn't matter that he was late. He decided he was going to do his job as well as possible, and look good doing it. Thus the epic walking music.
And then the Resonance Cascade happened...

I love this music piece. It's not only sounds badass, but hopeful. It's symbolizes the birth of a hero who will save humanity.

this song gave me chills when i first heard it in-game along with the sounds of the HEV voice booting up all the systems. made me feel like in a way, the suit became its own character. the HEV suit is the only friend you have left once shit hits the fan. it'll never leave you, it'll always have your back right up until the very end.
The soundtrack adds so much to Black Mesa that I am honestly having trouble finding the right words for it.
Just - bloody stellar work and easily my highlight of the game. So much more emphasis in every scene, enhancing the already dense atmosphere with badass, sad, melancholic and adrenaline-inducing tracks and all of them just fitted so perfectly.
I salute you, sir. Top notch work.

Actually, they are less OP in Black Mesa than in Half-Life.

Yeah, in Black Mesa it takes a single meatshot with a shotgun or a good shot with a grenade launcher and they're gone. The same goes for a tranquilizer dart.

in half life 1 when you equip the hev suit it kinda feels like you just picked up another item like any other in the game, in Black Mesa it feels like you've just stepped into a iron man like machine that has had more time, research, money and engineering poured into it than a rocket ship designed to go to mars
Even more so if you talk to the scientist thats in the locker room. Guy tells you about how far the suit had come since its mk1 variant

@@yamstree2454 maybe so, but one can argue the music they put in for it was a bit too upbeat for that moment. The Black mesa remake fits the music better as it’s more relaxed, fitting to the moment.

The scientist in the locker room comments on how he worked on the underwater breathing feature for the suit, which was sadly discarded. It reminded me of all the underwater sections of the game

I listen to this every morning, one hell of a way to get motivated.
This song just foreshadows the future, its like as soon as you put that suit on you just see it all happen and everything that leads to the events of half life 2. It really gave me goosebumps when i first put on HEV suit on
This reminds me of Kyur4 Th Ich and I love it.
I love this music. It completely changes how annoying putting on the HEV suit was and turns it into this badass moment.

Great track man! As a hardcore fan of Half Life since the beginning of the series, I couldn't expect more than a badass music theme while meeting again with my lovely HEV suit.
What's great is, when you're an oldschool fan, this music emphasize on the "Let's rock those aliens off...again!" feeling, you know you're now awesome for the rest of the game, dealing with all the threats you already know but now in HD.
And when you're a newbie, you know with this music that this suit, is more than a suit, it's your ticket to Awesome city-District of Coolness passing by Asskickingtown on the Orange Paintrain (Only with Crowbar Railways).
Me getting my HEV back after all those years : "Kept you waiting huh?"

Every time I put on the HEV suit, this song makes me almost feel like I'm really wearing the suit. Having a real life HEV Suit is one of my dreams.
this scene is amazing, it fills you with excitement as the music starts to drop while the suit shows it's capability's within it's systems, you begin to feel like MCU Tony Stark first trying on the MK II armor, making you feel like you can take on an entire army, or an entire planet even.
Get suit. Walk around. See how much has changed. Know what's better. Know the differance. Respect both and keep playing with a smile. Always with a smile.

This was used to make you feel "powered" right after you put your suit on.

I wish there was an extended version of this track; after 10 years of not playing half life and then getting on black mesa, putting on the suit and seeing all the suit effects while this was playing, it was indeed quite nostalgic

It's really good that the entire soundtrack really fits with the theme of the original half life. It sounds quite like some of the HL2 stuff unsurprisingly, but this somehow reminds me of the battle of city 17
