Bravo! You are the FIRST RUclipsr I have seen to actually show a scenario instead of talking about it. I appreciate the realism. I’m saving this video and forwarding it out to everyone I know!
I totally agree so many people just open it up and talk about the items (sometimes not even taking them out of the wrappers) and then the video ends and you never know if the kit really is as good as they say or if they are just novelty items that the company hopes is never really used.
@@markgrehan3726 The youtubers are also super annoying... they act like they are experts and show zero experiences. What is even worse is they have some cult of personality following that thinks the youtuber is a god at everything when that is clearly not the case.
I think it was a great video. I love the realism and panicky feeling you would be feeling trying to escape capture and survive in a bug out SHTF situation . Great job Vanessa !
It looks like the most important thing missing was a sleeping bag. The emergency blanket is extremely noisy and it seems it would draw attention to your location if you dared move. Thank you for putting your body through this experience so that we can benefit and learn from it, Vanessa.
WOW this was a great video . It realy makes me think of how to make my bug out pack , With a bad back comfort is very important for rest . I will be adding a sleep mat to mine . thanks Venessa.
You “acting skill” for this video was very good as the “escape, evade and survive” senecio is very believable. Great creative camera work and editing. Very nice job Vanessa 👍🏻
This was an amazing video, a great example. I have to also agree that a bug out bag needs to be personalised to the area and person using them. Thanks Vanessa, take care 👍🙂💖
Hello 👋 Vanesda, thank you for sharing this suspenseful adventure video. I look to your video about 'bug out 🎒 bags. The best to you Dear for your good health and safety. 🤗
A few things to consider when running except from an immediate threat. It' makes an easily followed trail. Noise. And a person could easily run INTO danger from an enemy if they are sitting quietly. Unlees seen, stealth is better than spead. But granted, there are times to run. There will be times to hide. And there will be times to fight. Along with hunting, fishing, and foraging for plants, a person will be very busy.
And if more people have the same idea, the Forest is also going to be very busy .. with most animals therein that were able to, having moved away in the opposite direction to the influx of people..
A sleeping bag, ground mat, small stove(like an Esbit) and a small cup/pot would round out this kit. You also need more tinder. Thanks for showing us this bag in use!
Very well done when you have to go you go, nothing is perfect I've been doing this for years, much love and respect to you fellow camping man said that.. take care.....
Good adventures ..learning to survive is a skilled art..everyone should know how to prepare for situations.. live to learn .. learn to live ..your backpack is your lifeline ..be strong .. be wise.. be aware ..love the memories ..written in stone forever
Good video Vanessa - very high quality. I liked the narrative and realistic scenario. Well done. The video reminded me about the need for a "bug out" bag of some kind.
Thank you 🦊 and the evaluation of the pack, sharing your time and experience. You are awesome ❤️ You carried far more intimidating knifes and pack you own Glock. ❤️
I like the layout of the bag with smaller packs for easy access but like most comments here, I would take some items out and add others that are not included. The bright orange straps would have to go. That pack made in green earthy tones and non reflective would be something I would prefer.
I am here in the USA and I already made what we call a Bug Out Bag, it has everything I need for a few days, freeze dried food, water canteen with a portable stove and many other items in a military surplus molly rucksack.
@@awkward-stranger Typical soldier loadout is closer to 80 pounds or more, and daily movement could be more than 10 miles per day. At 51 I could do this, but I will be really sore the next day.
Nice emergency bag Vanessa👌 Minimum gear but you can add what you need later after testing. I would change the orange color on it to black with a marker or dye, too easy to spot orange in the woods. Easy to find what you need with the individual labeled interior pouches. Remembering it's for emergency use and only for a short period of time, this could be adequate for a quick get away. Nice demo of evading a chaos scenario, never know when it's coming. Thanks for this series of videos, well done.
Hi Vanessa, those Mylar space blankets will block out infrared binoculars at night. I use plastic peanut butter jars for first aid, one for fire starters, and one miscellaneous items. You can see what's in them. I'll bet most people can put a basic bugout bag together just with the stuff they have around the house.🤔
Your videos are always interesting and informative. Not many people like to think about the possibility of having to leave their homes in an emergency situation, but it's always a good idea to have an escape plan and to practice bugging out from time to time.
Great video!! The style and concept of how you tell the story really draws you in. I love how you are taking a store bought bag, that is ready to go (more or less), and then put it into action to see what really works and what doesn't. I liked how it was set up with easily identifiable bags for different components, but agree that bright orange would give you away to someone who knows that movement is what draws attention and with that color moving through a neutral colored forest/wooded section, your chances of getting caught go up significantly!! I especially want to commend you on how you stressed the importance of needing water, rest, and food in maintaining your abilities to think and act rationally in an emergency! That was outstanding on your part!!! Looking forward to more videos of yours, as always. And even though, I know it was creative writing, filming and editing, it broke my heart to see the final scene of you running, falling, covering yourself in a protective manner, fade to black, and then the gun shots... 😢 Gott segne from the USA.
Excellent fictional production of a "what if" scenario. With 83 million of your fellow Germans facing the same fictional trouble, how many would be making their way to the forest, and how many would "shelter in place" in the cities and villages? Germany is about the size of the US state of Texas, but with three times the population of Texas, so finding a place to be alone and safe might not be so easy. Hopefully, people would come together in cooperative groups, share their skills, and help one another, rather than panic and become "lone wolves." Your RINO pack looked well-organized, with some useful tools and materials inside. I would add a few things to personalize it - some kind of compact bivy bag to sleep in would be good. The messer seemed adequate for survival and bushcraft work, as well as for defensive use. Here in the US, many would add some kind of firearm to the gear for protection. Well done, Vanessa. High quality video!
You did not witness the Super Dome during hurricane Katrina... People stuffed into stadium, utilizing the entrances as toilets.. Family women using restrooms in front of strangers.. I would have taken my family away to..
Good informative video. If you want to be hidden then get rid of the orange stripes on the backpack. I make my own bugout bags. The kit you bought is a good strating place, but it needs to be customized to you.
Right now you can only imagine such a thing and what it might be like. When and if that really happens, you'll no doubt discover what you couldn't have planned for if anything. Don't fear the one that can destroy your body, fear the one that can destroy the person or spirit and soul that you really are and that's inside the body.
Beautiful, interesting and very instructive your video. Your backpack is at the TOP, it contains all the material that is essential for being outdoors and in the woods for a long time. Your explanation is perfect. Very beautiful. Hello, good day👍👋
add a frog spear point ... the stick you can find in the woods. ....... any gun is better than none. 1/2 inch thick wool blanket ( layered if you cant afford ) also... cheap plastic dropcloth for a rain n snow tent.
Hi Vanessa, this was a very impressive video, with great photography, and you acted so convincingly, it felt like a real emergency. A great review of the Rhino backpack, and I would like to have seen a pepper gun included for your protection. I look forward to seeing hat you would have included, and left out of the pack.🌹💗🌹
Bug out bag must be created on your own. With items you are familiar with and personally need. Interesting list of items but I would pick my favorites.

This was very informative. I liked your review but I would like to see a bag that you put up yourself, I believe with your experience you could make a much better and more comfortable list of survival items that would be as easy to carry👍🍁🌹❤️🎩
I completely agree. She could make a much more efficient bag than what that company is offering. The zipper and sound of velcro ripping is too noisy. She also needs a firearm. Thank you for this scenario, it helps us see what works, and what’s missing.
Well thanks to your colleague Jorge , I was introduced to your channel I must tell you your escape and survive video is brilliant! Fun video, but most premade bags are over priced and offer limited utility. They are really a feel good item for the unprepared. For the same money you could make one that is so far ahead of any commercial product.
This is true, but there are enough lazy people with money who would rather buy someone else's rendition of a kit instead of having to think about what they would actually carry if they designed their own kit.
Dear Vanessa, you have the wonderful gift to tell the story and keep the viewer on the edge of their seat. It is a great video with drama, education, compelling music and wonderful composition.
