    I think it is wonderful that you are teaching your daughter about thrifting and what to look for! I'm 63 just started reselling last year and I want to teach my daughter how to do this. It will really mean a whole different life for her if I teach her "the ways"! I know she will do great! Merry Christmas Dani!

    Hi Danni, happy holidays to you and the girls. Just a note from my own collection. Emu eggs are dark in colour, usually spotted black and green or teal. They are very pretty.
    My Ostrich eggs are about the size you found, colours vary, some plain, some spotted, but always a neutral colour way.

    At 12:54 the Rooster dish on the left is called Rooster and (&) Roses. There are many different pieces to that collection and is very collectible. I have almost every piece. eBay is a great place to see what there is in the collection and how much each piece is going for or sold for. My first 2 pieces were a salt and pepper shaker set found at a flea market here on the East Coast about 10 years ago. They were a dollar or two. The collection is made in Japan by UCAGCO I think. There are a couple different names for it, Early Provincial being one of them. There are different variations of Rooster and Roses color wise and rooster wise as you will see on eBay if you search it.
    I love how Rachel is so interested in learning from you!

    The mice on the chain was for a sweater. My mom used to wear a chain like that. You’d clip one end on one side of the sweater and the other end on the other. You’d use them if the sweater or cape didn’t have buttons.

    Love how your daughter is learning and now I'm going to give a little lesson. I'm Aussie and koala's aren't bears, they're marsupials, so are just called koala's. Emu eggs are a beautiful green/cobalt blue colour so that would've been an ostrich egg. Also emu is pronounced eem-you 😊

    I didn’t think that clear glass glows under a black light? I always thought that only Vaseline (yellow) and Uranium (green) and occasionally blue glass with uranium glows. Let me know if I’m wrong.

    • @TheNICHELady
      @TheNICHELady  3 года назад +1

      the glow comes from what the glass was made from and can be any color including clear.
