I tore my PCL completely playing futsal, but my doctor didn’t recommend surgery. Strengthening the quads, calves, muscles around the knee, etc. , help compensate the PCL’s function. I’m pretty much back to normal.

@@poojatiwari5311 Yes, a complete tear. I was also kind of confused. I’m just glad I didn’t get surgery.
Surgeries on PCL tears is a very debated matter among specialists. Some will recommend it and others won’t.

I’m 51 and the Doctor said they didn’t recommend surgery for me. I’m seven months after injury and still struggling although no longer crippled. The pandemic has interfered with rehab unfortunately.

My pcl isn’t just torn unfortunately it is a complete tear. I can’t believe that my fall did this but I had my grandson in my arms and he didn’t get a scratch. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Best wishes I am certain you will do well. Rehab is everything. My doc was certain I will probably get arthritis in that leg.

@@Ironman-BB i would say I’m doing quite well. I have incorporated rebounding daily and also a vibration plate. Walking as well. I think it helps to keep strength up. When I’m tired or at the end of day it’s always the side of my knee where injury occurred and I will feel pain that radiates up my thigh. Thanks for asking.

It's been 6 years since I torn my PCL playing basketball the first year I did rehab and was able to play basketball and run again but in my third year I reinjured my pcl and fully torn it after falling from a hike when trying to climb a mountain and ever since I haven't able to run and it's been 3 years I haven't been able to run and have alot of stability and some stiffness I recently started exercising and rehabbing again but sometimes my foot gets sore as well which never happened before I'm 27 what do you recommend the best option for me I haven't went with the surgery yet and are you supppse to use a knee brace to help keep it stable especially when exercising I never used a brace since I got injured

AVOID SURGERY AT ALL COSTS... Many surgeons / doctors have conflict bias and will play on your emotions and convince you that you need surgery to increase their wealth . It's like asking a real estate agent if it's a good time to buy... You need to make the decision and try all natural healing before committing to surgery, since you will never be the same after someone cuts through your body. Speaking from experience after I was pressured into surgery as a trusting young kid.
