Just got back from Chicago- we explored the 12th floor and my friend stuck their head out of one of those fire escape windows(it was opened) and something whispered their name right in their ear. We booked it back to our room 👻
I recently stayed at the congress hotel on the 12 floor in room 1253 I believe. I started to ask the employee at the front desk questions about the Hotel's history and paranormal activity but due to the fact that she had other guests to help, she flagged down one of the hotel security guards for me and he gave me a tour of the hotel (If you ask the front desk they'll do it for anyone). One of the questions I asked him during the tour was about the missing room numbers. He stated that the hotel was originally built in the 1900's for the worlds fair, the rooms were small to accommodate the massive amount of people needing a place to stay. At some point after the world's fair they were not getting as many guests and wanted to make the rooms more spacious and modern, so a massive renovation was done on many of the floors. The security guard stated that during this renovation they kept all the hallway wall but removed a lot of the interior walls, in order to restructure the rooms' layout and size. He stated that when you see a empty door in the Congress Hotel it's not a hidden room but rather where a room use to exist. His explanation was quick and unenthusiastic, and left me with no follow up questions. I believe he was telling the truth but a part of me wants to not trust him in order to keep the mystery alive. I did ask him about his experiences with the Hotel's Paranormal activity. He stated he has worked in the Congress Hotel since the mid 80's and has happily not had one creepy or paranormal thing happen to him in that time. He also added to his statement that he didn't believe in ghosts or the supernatural. I didn't ask him anymore questions on the subject matter in order to not annoy him. He was giving me the tour out of his own appreciate for the hotel's history and I felt it would of been in poor taste. I happily listened to his extensive knowledge on the hotel's rich history and left it at that.
Yo trabajó en laundry. en el Hotel y me espantan adiario y descubrí un túnel secreto k nadie lo avisto k sale alas vías del tren es muy escalofriante y suceden cosas raras
I worked in laundry. in the Hotel and I am shocked by an adiario and I discovered a secret tunnel k no one noticed it k leaves the train tracks is very creepy and strange things happen
I'd heard that it was room 666 that was sealed off, with every bit of furniture still inside, according to window washers. This one even has the woman who slit her wrists in the tub.
I ve stayed once and will never again ever stay in this hotel was in room 443. Two doors away from room 441. I left the hotel the night of to leave the hotel the energy was static and I felt was weighing heavily on my shoulders. The following morning one person in my friend circle committed suicide someplace elsewhere in that hotel. This hotel is a gateway to hell. Last night I was back at this hotel and showed two new people about this hotel and both of them felt that same static energy I felt two years ago. Do not mess with these spirits they will linger around
Joselerio M you may have a case because multiple other people reported something very similar in a county I forgot the name of. But they were all hearing voices though
A few weird things. What did the sign on that door say? Why do some of the doors clearly have electronic locks for keycards (magstripe) on them, and others old school locks. Also the room numbers on the doors change location.
Spent two nights there a month ago in room 1224. Didn't want to mess with security so I didn't do any kind of investigation, but I did leave my phone to record next to my door overnight. Didn't get a damn thing. Never even once felt uncomfortable. The whole haunted thing is a gimmick.
It’s so annoying when people think just because they saw nothing that others are liars. Haunted places are not attractions. Spirits aren’t going to just show themselves because humans want them to; that’s why you saw nothing. It’s not up to you.
This is one of the most detailed videos on this subject about this hotel that I've seen so far among all the other videos shot at this Hotel ... I really wonder what's in room #1252 that they sealed it off ???? Why are there so many rooms shut down ??? Couldn't they be renovated ??? Does the staff at his hotel explain to anyone the reasons for this ??? Somehow the riddle behind this hotel puzzles and intrigues me very much ... don't know why ... but it does ... :)
It's just a housekeeping room I was there today and went to that area and a door was open near the room it's just a room for staff nowadays probably used to be a room
I just had a birthday party there at room 1254 it was fun seen 3 famous rappers. My speaker some how fell off the table but we all started makin jokes about ghost and ignored it. I can’t wait to go back
Omg. This happened to me. I missed a Blackhawks bus, stuck downtown. They were booked everywhere for a huge conference. I begged for a room. Bad,bad, bad things happened. Left at 3. Called ( front desk, 911) Said I was at congress. They immediately had security. Moved me to a bottom floor. In the morning all of my belongings were at my other room. Nothing else.
Oh, And we walked in circles looking for the room. Got on and off the elevator. I thought I was in LA la land. Horrible. This is the first time I am talking about this. It was fucking terrifying
So far, what I'm seeing is just a badly maintained building and much lower rates that you'd normally see in that area. I hope Anothony Melchurri does a Hotel Impossible on it.

Yo what the crap 😳
I just googled this after changing rooms from 1250 bc or noises in my bathroom. Have stayed in this hotel 30+ times. By far the most eerie experience

@@sharkboyryan195 where is it??
It is a hidden door, tht leads to a tunnel underneath. It might be a old train line that was never built but who knows.
I'd heard that it was room 666 that was sealed off, with every bit of furniture still inside, according to window washers.
This one even has the woman who slit her wrists in the tub.
Michelle M yup completely, the door is has even been wall papered over. But if you look closely, you can tell it was a room entrance
Winds of March Journey/Perry tribute band that isn’t true

I’m just seeing this and I just arrived at my room… didn’t know it was the most haunted hotel in Chicago till just now..

@@khloecarver1246 this
just because you didn't witness, see, or experienced them doesn't mean it's a lie, and they aren't there and don't call that a gimmick

It does me to today is the first time I heard about it. I been reading about it and watching what I can on it.
Someone in the future will probably investigate about them

A lot of what you showed looks like really poor maintenance. I wonder, were the other floors falling apart at the seams too?
N Bee yeah he other floors are just as bad
The little door is a pipe crawl beteen rooms. That floor is clearly neglected and the hotel steals parts from out of service rooms "shitty doors"
that so cool
I've stayed in room 441 I got sick vomited a few times got light headed
