Plini performs "Atlas" at NAMM 2020 for Neural DSP demo Please SUBSCRIBE and follow my page for more exclusive content. Thank you! This video was shot in 4K on a Lumix GH5
Josua Stangl Periphery will be there tonight too! I’m hoping they have a bassist this time lol. The track doesn’t do it for me. They’re still amazing though regardless.
@@FerretChloride They don't, but they also have orchestral elements & choir on tracks, which stand out far more than bass and to me that's not an issue at all. Still an amazing show and most people probably won't notice anyways lol
@@josuastangl7140 Have you ever seen Simon Grove on bass that plays with Plini? Yeah, It's a world of difference without him. Backing tracks for bass is no bueno imo.
@Odell Mateo i wouldn't use true temperament unless everybody else in the band uses tt. You'll sound a tiny bit out of tune relative to them if you dont
I sort of slot him in as more of a great songwriter than necessarily a one-of-the-best virtuosic guitarist. Love his tunes and general pushing of the genre, but I remember something about him that I found a bit hmm. I'm sure it's mostly the jealously that comes with the "I should have done that" thoughts. I remember that video about making tunes out of power chords or something, I have a proggy song written from like 2013 that is along those lines. So I'm definitely just salty about my own inaction (not that I haven't tried, nor that I've given up).
@@KiraPlaysGuitar I would agree, he's def not the cleanest player of all time but an amazing songwriter regardless. Cascade, Inhale and the entire Sunhead EP is tremendous. Beautiful melodies, harmonies, moods and grooves. Much better than all the instrumental wankers out there like Vai etc.
Music is not a sport dude. If you're in it purely for the technical prowess, there are better technicians out there. The best thing about Plini is his ability to write good songs. I'm sure you already know that.
Is it just me or does Plini always look like he just rolled out of bed
True
he rolled out of bed to shred
you mean pretentious?
Why i dont shred every time i wake up early?
The video for "Every Piece Matters" he's literally sitting on his bed through the whole video. And of course, rockin' that bed head.
Been refreshing the search for a while, waiting for a plini NAMM video to show up. Thanks for filming this!
No problem! Hope you dug it! I'll be uploading more videos from NAMM in the coming days! 🤘
@@jnezlo dug it is an understatement, can't get enough of this guy's playing these days. Will watch out for you next vids :)
@@Tesswrench111 Excellent! Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Plini as well! One of the best out there!
IB Freely same here Plini is so awesome
People are inspired by these players and get to be under the same roof as some of their idols, why would you not not want to seize that opportunity?
Very sweet playing
I’m annoyed at how flawless that is. Also stoked I’m seeing them in 2 weeks yeeeeeessssss
I love how Plini makes shredding sound like one long riff-meets-melody instead of a one long, wanky solo. This is my guitar hero!
Thank you for recording this
For sure! Be on the lookout for similar content in the future!
Vulvodynia's guitarist just enjoying this beautiful masterpiece
I love his playing
Plini got all the tech/slam metal players admirin'
Can’t wait to see Plini on Monday. So hyped!
Odell Mateo the Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ
Saw him in November opening for Periphery, awesome show!

It sounds really good. The neck looks really cool. Scalloped frets might be nice. Cool player. Plini is awesome.
It's called fanned frets

amazing playing
he looks like a ceo after his office work messes up his hair go namm and play the guitar
So I assume he's sporting his new signature pickups here? That is the new neck-thru model..
That's "Atlas"
Yeah, just realized i mixed those up!
@@jnezlo , thank you anyway.
@@jlmso11568 For sure! Thanks for watching! I'll be uploading more in the coming days from the NAMM show.
This is one of my favorite Plini songs. It's important that y'all know that...
@@jonnyquest8774 Thanks for watching! 🤘
First time i ever seen what plini looks like tbh
Legend
I love Plini, but this is actually him playing extremely sloppy lol..and he's still ridiculously good!
I have seen him play much sloppier, like every time I've seen him live haha
Yeah I noticed, his live guitarist is a monster and imo the Aristides just sounds nicer than the Strandberg
I sort of slot him in as more of a great songwriter than necessarily a one-of-the-best virtuosic guitarist.

Saw him play live last year, pretty much spotless, he does look tired in this video though.
2:15 is my favorite part
Sanjay from Wormhole in the back lol I miss going to NAMM
Such a great time!
Unreal
Reminds me of PTH a lot
is Strandberg still in business? no items for sale on their site or at Sweetwater
is that the homie from Wormhole in the background?!
Plini has charisma.
Dude!!
That was me actually lol
@@jnezlo nuff said that was amazing
There are guitarist and then there is PLINI...
do you have any other videos of plini at namm2020
This is the only song he performed at Neural DSP. Haven't seen any other videos of him from NAMM 2020 online.
0:38 is too spicy.
Eh ehm...fam... That's actually "Atlas"...not Electric Sunrise XD but Great video
So this is what Zach Braff got up to after Scrubs.
this is actually Atlas not electric sunrise
@Kris Xenopoulos ofTechnopath taking a video on the left.
Pretty sloppy TBH. Coulda used a bit less of a dry tone to help with the mistakes.
somehow, every NAMM edition someone finds a way to fuck with plini's settings. i don't know why

Some days are better than others....
Could have used a touch more delay.
But we all know hes dam gud
He looks like Matthew McConaughey's cousin
It took him 4 minutes and 1 second to destroy everyone at NAMM. Noice.
I dint kniw dude check out the dude from car bomb play. Hes fucking spot on.
*plini you are no one without your bells*
Its hard to tune your guitar if you dont have headstock yeah?
It's like fine tuners on a floyd rose so imo tuning is more precise. String changes were a lot faster too (had a Kiesel headless)
@@MaestroJericho Im just kidding mate haha Im actually into headless :)
his sound setup?
Pretty sure he was just going direct using his Signature Neural DSP Plugin and they had his sound coming through a couple of Bose towers.
Sounds like a modern Greg Howe song
That’s......not Electric Sunrise.

I used to attend NAMM shows in the 80's before it was swamped with idiots holding smartphones.
ok boomer
@@theoriginalsuperpwny - Not offended because it's true.
you're right . They look just silly
That shouldn't determine whether you go! It's still such a great time regardless of the smartphones 🤘
@@chrispile3878 NAMM is better off without HitIers Iike you. Slow, Talentless grumpy old Idiots should stay at home
GATE強くね?
needs more tone.
Composed player . No need for lemon faces 🤪
Tell that to Paul Gilbert lol
Sounds like a tampon advert.
strandberg guitar prices make me fucking sick.im buying a chinese copy and giving it to my luthier to fix with better parts then the origional
Sounds like a cover 😂
A cover!?
A covewr ?!
Great guitar player but I really dislike his guitar tone
