Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Audions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on RUclips before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Glommy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. 7 year old Angelina is barefoot, to remind her of all the less fortunate children. She always has strong feelings for other children and I think that plays a big part in the emotion she is able to convey while singing.
A memorable performance never to be forgotten. Angelina DID FULLY UNDERSTAND the dark message of song and, in fact, her family strongly suggested to her that it might not be appropriate for her to sing it because she was so young. Angelina grew up loving to listen to the jazz great, Billie Holiday sing and, in particular this song. So she convinced her family to eliminate some of the darker lyrics and they agreed. So, already at 7 years old she had a tremendous influence on what she sang and what she wanted to sing. Angelina had asked her mom if she could perform on Norway's Got Talent but at that particular time her mom had to tell her no because she was only 4 years old!!!!!! And that she couldn't be eligible until she was 7. And, her she was at 7!!!!!!!!!

Who she is is way more impressive than what she is. Her eyes tell the story--the story of someone much older, wiser, and more experienced than her physical age--much more. I am unable to understand how one could follow her and not fall in love with who she is. I myself am unable to explain it--all I know is that Angelina is rare and very special.
Complicated songs… Her entire life is about, loving people, loving humanity, expressing peace… because she’s a child. Check her work as an adult after 18 you will never get through all of her work.

In all these years by now I have listened to she thousands of times in hundreds of splendid interpretations and yet every time I see this first performance of hers at the age of 7, it makes me move again, like the first time, with that wonderful concentration of humility, simplicity, candor, intelligence, sympathy and talent. I love her wonderful sense of jazz musicianship from her very first performances. 💛🧡❤

So I had to speak on your comment on her drawing emotion, with the suggestion I made for her cover of Adele’s song A Million Years Ago. I can’t understand stand it either!! I’ve put them both side by side and sit there and wondered how could a twelve year old child sing this song with more emotion than the actual artist that wrote it. Because it just touches my soul! Full body chills when she goes low and high!!!!

Thankfully Angelina's family had the means to travel the world with her, choosing to have her perform, mostly at events that raised money for charity. Record executives flew to Oslo to try to sign her at age 8. Disney made an offer. All were declined. Angelina and her family moved to Los Angeles around 2019 and after the covid pandemic began, they signed her with Republic Records (Taylor Swift, etc). We don't know the terms of the contract, but certainly they have not promoted her yet and she is 18 now. We do know Republic Records built her a studio and she has written more than 100 songs. We have been blessed with 14 to date.
@@andyschnell58 From what I understand, she made no money and her family paid their own expenses, travel, hotels, food, etc. Angelina made her money from her You Tube Channels, selling her merchandise and Album sales. Even though the entire family has money, they have empathy for the less fortunate, strong Christian values and are constantly helping when possible. Angelina sings to spread Love and Peace, she is all about LOVE, God Bless!
