Fabulous. I guess its true what they say about being willing to trip in June with the black flies if you want to see wildlife! We've seen moose on Misty and Tim River but never so many at once! Amazing.

Awesome video moose whisperer and congrats on all those super close encounters! That first encounter my heart beat would have been like 250 given the shallow water and chance of the canoe getting stuck mere feet away from the bull moose.
Great solo portage Kev! The wildlife and morning sunrises have to be my favourite part about Algonquin! Can't wait to get back out there and try my way at a short beginner portage!

I really don't think I could ever do an early trip with blackflies and skeeters that bad ! Just the sound of them is enough to drive one crazy lol seeing those moose brought me back to the petawawa River and coming around a corner and almost running right into a huge bull lol

I'm a big fan of your videos, lots of moose, too bad was a fire ban Also that bird was probably a bald eagle, they don't turn white until age 4-5 years. Keep up the journeys.
You had an awesome trip. The best I can tell is that you were about 7 days ahead of Luke and I on the Tim River. We started at Access point #2 and went down the entire river. Our path crossed with yours at the Shaw Lake portage since we also ended at Canoe Lake (we positioned a second vehicle there). I really enjoyed seeing your video of the trip and appreciate you sharing it. It's motivated me to get back to editing my footage so I too can share what Luke and I saw!

Good stuff man! Great moose encounter. I had a very close encounter in a tight spot with a bull moose a couple weeks back... no drama though, despite it being in the rut. I've never seen aggressive moose behaviour while in Algonquin but I have seen it elsewhere. I guess when humans aren't chasing them with thundersticks all day, they're calmer :-) Nice camera work. Glad you enjoyed. My routes was as follows: Canoe > McIntosh > up the Tim River to Shippagew > through Big Trout to Otter Slide Lake > back to Canoe Lake.
Fabulous photography, love your traveling clip compositions as they really capture the scenery. What are you using for camera equipment? I must say, that is some of the best moose footage I have seen anyone capture, outstanding! Also love your choice of snacks, M&M's are top on my list too although I prefer plain ones. Hey Michael! That was between little doe lake and Tom Thompson lake. The route began at canoe lake, and my first night was spent on McIntosh lake. It’s a beautiful route. Enjoy your trip!
@@kevinthewild thanks Kevin! I wanted to include hailstorm creek as part of the itinerary. You think I can do both? Doesn’t seem too far from Opeongo. I’d love to ask you some questions about your trips I just watched all your videos.
That would be extremely difficult on a 3-day trip. You would also need to enter the park at Canoe lake and Exit on Opeongo. Until you have several canoe trips under your belt, I advise not to try to cover too much distance in one day. Weather such as high winds can make travel very difficult. I would say aim for 20km per at most. I took 6 of my friends out on their first canoe trip in algonquin a few years ago. They found the route - 80 km over 4 days - very difficult.
I love how relaxed you are on these trips. The fact that you take your time to enjoy whats around you is another reason I like watching
