- Here I go on a rant talking about how many "prepper" channels on RUclips these days went from talking and doing things about preparedness to just repeating the state-run media and sowing click-bait fear porn.
We should have no fear through Jesus Christ.
We should work on real world solutions, work on things directly in our own backyard, in our own family, and ourselves.

Money is a strong factor. I don't watch any prepper. The pandemic showed how unprepared they all pretty much were. I don't watch or listen to news, politicians and stupidity. Everyone is 3 days away to global breakdown if food is no longer distributed. Preppers are HUGE TARGETS. God bless.

You’re so right! I’ve had to unfollow several channels due to the fear mongering, negativity, weird content and click bait. Every time I look at YT, & see the drama in the titles, and in the thumbnails it makes me sick. We should have a talk brother.👊🇺🇸

I haven’t watched TV or news in years.
But I’ve been thinking a lot lately about preparedness and how unprepared I am other than a stockpile of booms and knives and training with those.
So I’m guilty of falling down the fear porn rabbit hole recently.
Thankfully, I very a quickly realized that every single one of the “bigger” channels and 75% of the smaller channels are all click bait, end of the world, fear mongering.
Or they’re just pushing ridiculously expensive gear that no one can afford (and we both know how they acquired that stuff).
I have no problem with how they got the gear at all, but mix in some stuff that you can do to prepare with budget items, or things around your house that can be repurposed, or things you can do at no cost.
I think the number one thing we can do is get our own house in order and stay in close relationship with God.
Prepare an emergency plan and train with your family on implementing it.
Take first aid and trauma classes.
Get fit.
Self-defense training.
Bushcraft training.
Grow food (even in small spaces… it’s a great skill to have.)
Learn about edible plants in your region.
Learn canning and preserving.
Learn to make sourdough.
BUILD COMMUNITY…. no one will be a lone wolf when SHTF (think of the last natural disaster in your area, it was people helping people).
THEN work on acquiring resources gradually.
I needed to hear this today to reinforce what I already realized while falling down that rabbit hole.

You are spot on. Fear not is in bible 365 times. Fear is a powerful weapon for the enemy. It gets into a man's soul if you let it and affects your ability to make sound decisions.

I started watching a prepper channel a few years ago (I suspect the same one you're talking about lol), it seemed decent at the time, and then they went OFF THE RAILS.
Based on the titles and thumbnails, society or maybe the world must've ended at least a dozen times in the last 3 years.
Fear porn and click bait sadly sells on RUclips.
@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors yup, there's been studies (and news reports about the studies, if you pay attention to alarming news 😂) how Facebook algorithms push polarizing and extreme content with little regard for the truthfulness or effect.
I'm sure RUclips has incentive to do the same.

I had to stop watching them completely because it was really making me over paranoid and thinking that it was really going to hit the fan lately. I haven't watched any in a while and my overall attitude has been better

Canadian prepper is the absolute worst. Click bait title on every video. Shilling products that most of us will never need nor can afford. Wranglestar is another that comes to mind.
Dislike that channel and that dudes antiques.
100% agreed, and I used to like Canuck Prepper. Wrangler star at least shows solutions and how to but still can be click bait

I know this isn’t the topic of the video but it is loosely related. I’ve been looking to get my first AR-15 and I don’t have a huge budget. What rifles would you recommend? I am already setting money aside for ammunition, training, etc, but I just don’t know what rifle to get. Thanks!
Honestly I’d get a decent PSA and maybe a few spare parts like BCGs etc. I have a PSA basic M4 style and it has served me well for years
