i have a friendship that's like the one you have with trish & i'm so grateful for it! i feel like i've fast-tracked so many life lessons because of them aha. ❤
Tbf I'm not neurodivergent and I'm so direct haha I think British people are super wishy washy and polite small talk is soooo huge. I hate it ahah In Latvia, where I'm originally from, we do not do small talk at all. You ask people things directly as it is disingenuous to ask people how they are if you don't actually care about the answer. Even when we pick up the phone we say Yes? rather than Hello? because people call with a reason and want something from you. ahah all my English friends think I'm sooo direct, but I do tone it down a lot lol
I completely agree !!! ‘Yes’ honestly makes so much more sense to me than hello 😭 I feel like I tone down a lot of how I’d like to talk, but I if I ever had meetings with work I’d never think to start with hey how are you/ how’s your weekend etc - I’d always go straight in with right what do you need/ what do I need ! So much easier x
