- Ghost may release some new music in 2024, so with an eye on that I decided to rank all 5 of their studio albums from Opus Eponymous to IMPERA.

Watcher in the sky and repite on the spitalfield are really good performed live. Mad gallica's singing on the songs is immaculate.

I love both of 'em to death but I guess it's a matter of taste. I'm a sucker for melody/harmony so both of those songs hit the spot for me 🙂
Also: The solo in Spitalfields is amazing! So much that I covered it on my channel just a few weeks after the Impera was launched 🙂
Honestly you ranking is perfect. Only gripe I'd say is switch Infest and Meliora. I only say this because Infestissimum was my first Ghost album so it holds such a place in my heart. I'm so excited for this next album though!

You know what makes Ghost really great? I checked so many album rankings and they are so different. Some albums are the best for some fans and other albums are the best for other fans.
For instance look at Iron Maiden (whom I really like and respect), most almost all rankings are like this: Blaze albums, No Prayer... FotD are on the bottom, while Number of the Beast, Powerslave, Seventh Son are on the top. Most fans agree.
However, in case of Ghost the opinion of the fans are so inconsistent and I think this makes the band very interesting.
My personal ranking (best to "not the best"):
1. Prequelle
2. Meliora
3. Impera
4. Infestissumam
5. Opus Eponymous

Great ranking, and overview. What I think is most impressive is how for any of Ghost rankings I've seen, there is a lot of variety. It speaks to how high their quality level is. For other bands, its more obvious which are the strong/weak albums.
Is it terrible of me to say that as long as you love Ghost I couldn't care less about album ranking? Everyone's going to have songs on every album that they love more than others or albums they love more than others. That's just part of loving music. It's so subjective but so amazing 🖤.

I had the same feeling, but I just stuck at Prequelle & Meliora as my favourites. Impera is very good, but for me those two are still the top and Impera is on the still formidable third place.
@@ffarkasmImpera was first full album I listened to and worked my way back but I love tracks on all albums but overall they just seem to get better every time. I also loved the 80’s rock so another reason prequelle and impera do it for me but there’s a few songs I’m not that into on Opus but love half them too Elizabeth is my favourote
