I bought mine 8 months ago. I love it, didn’t think it need the innotation changed but I lowered it a week ago, I love it even more.

Awesome man. It's done pretty good in my classroom this year. I'm concerned with the neck but it's held up well with a lot of hard use

For Christmas 2023 (last week !) I got my First Les Paul from GIBSON, and I actually like my Cheap SG more for playing !! But, I HAVE a Les Paul (finally) !!

Nice! One thing I've noticed in the studio epiphone SG is how easily the neck bends. Try holding body with picking hand and pull back one chord hand while playing a chord. It's close to a whammy bar bend :P

VERY nice Epiphone Mr. Webb. With my Epiphone Les Paul special (and my other guitars), I use coconut oil to hydrate the fretboards when they become dry. Take a swab of the coconut oil and rub it on the back of your hand, and you can use your hand like palette, your finger as your brush, and the frets as your canvas. It's a very nice looking guitar, I have always been a fan of the SG body shape. Great review video, especially with your performance with Johnny B. Goode 😁 Rock on!

Johnathon! What's up buddy. There is a 12 year old working hard to beat your Paganini solo (level 16) right now. He made the same deal with me you did about focusing on 16 and skipping the other levels.... and he is sounding good, watch out!
I got some F1 oil to work into all the fretboard and that seems to be doing pretty well. Good call on coconut oil, that sounds booshi ;P.

COOL guitar ! I have a Twenty year old model of this that has died !! I just ordered (last night) a NEW upgrade kit including 4 Pots, two Alnico Pick-ups With the wiring ! We'll see. I have to modify this body to accept Two more pots; a second Volume AND a second tone. I am not at all sure of the reason for a Kill Switch. Especially if it only works when Held Down.

oh by the way, some websites say its a mahogany body, other websites say its a poplar body + mahogany veneer. would be insteresting see if sanded down to spec the actual wood.

@rmkk89 After having this guitar for a few months, the neck is very fragile. When my students are done using it, I'll take a look at the woods being used. I've never held a guitar that the neck bends as easily as this one. You can basically bend the neck and use it as a whammy bar with little effort.

The 2011-2017 Epi SG Specials are nice mod platforms being well put together using mahogany and a much higher quality rosewood. Not a big fan of the current version. The horns on that Turser look weird for whatever reason, maybe they aren't offset? Cheers!

I don't know where you're getting your setups done, but if they're charging you $150... Your getting taken to the cleaners. I do that work every day.. and it never varies more than $50 to $60 including strings... And by the way no guitar comes from the factory set up.. they don't know who is going to play it, so it's just a basic general guess. To this day I don't understand why people don't understand that simple concept....

@donwade-di8ny I do my own setups for myself and the kids, and it's simply a youtube video away from learning the steps, but it does take a few guitars to perfect it for sure and I think some people just don't want to mess with learning it and doing it. In my area, Sarasota, FL, they charge up to $250. It's crazy.

Nice- for the price. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Yes, sir. The old proverb, "You get what you pay for," holds true on this one. After I set this guitar up, I bet it will be a pretty sweet beginners guitar. But if someone pays to have that done, they could be in it for 300+ dollars, and there are a lot more options in that price range.
