Possibly the biggest difference between a posh (RP), or southern British accent and a northern, or midlands accent is that in the latter ə and ʌ are pronounced almost identically.
*Great video!* It took me a lot of doubts. Your teaching is practical, easy and delightful, especially you always speak louder and clear, it really help non native speaker to obtain well method for pronunceing much! Hope you well and more more people follow your channel.
Thank you. Apparently, I’ve been transcribing the wrong vowel /ɔ/ for English words like ‘bought’ and ‘saw.’ I guess it’s because I learned IPA for French, Italian and Thai which all have a pure /ɔ/ vowel. Some regional accents might approach [ɔˡ]. As an example, Philadelphia dialect uses a fronted [ɔ] somewhere between [ʚˡ] and [ɔ]. But I suppose we’re looking at standard RP here.

Thank you for the video! I was wondering where the tongue is when you pronounce the /ʌ/ sound? Does it go far back to the throat or it's just flat at the bottom?
