I feel like there’s a lot of waste? However, I’ve often wondered how you would get perfect squares that are consistent with something that is round. And I guess there’s really no other way. Really really great job.

Yeah, unfortunately that’s what happens when dicing something round. But you can always use the scraps in other things! :)

My beef is she just went in one direction with the peeler and she puts her finger on the spine of the knife. She gets 10 points for the Victorinox chef knife though for practicality all in all 8 out of 10.

Thanks for your comment - in all honesty it is tricky to hold things perfectly when recording. Sometimes you have to be sitting or standing at a very weird angle. 😂

I’ve been noticing this ran into quite a few people that do culinary arts that aren’t being taught that.

Yeah holding the knife like that can be very bad for the tendons in the wrist/arm.

There's no need to have any extra bits. You can dice the whole carrot after it's peeled, no need to cut off the sides like that.

You keep saying, "use your knuckles as a guide," but in fact, you don't use your knuckles as a guide at all. The side of the knife never touches your knuckles.

You’re right! I made this video when I was inexperienced with filming. I knew there were a few issues in it but my channel was so small I published it anyway. I never expected it to get this many views😅

Yes, it does end up with scraps but you can always use those in other ways! :)
