  • Here's a passage of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony which Liszt transcribed in a very unusual way (perhaps the most unusual of all the Beethoven symphonies) in his first version S463d from 1837. Liszt outright demolished the dotted rhythm of the melody in exchange for a fuller sound which aimed to, more or less, reflect the string tremolos.
