One of my favourite movies. That opening fight scene was so brutal. Not what I expected, but a truly great, unique film.
The opening fight scene was soooo gritty!
Just the ending is confusing..... they want to travel from Scandinavia to Jerusalem, by boat.... but end up in the Americas...?!
I don’t believe it’s the Americas. I thought it was Scotland and they meet the Picts or the Gaels.
Honestly, I had the exact same question, because we all know that a boat is a good transAtlantic vessel. Still though, good film.
I’m sick to death of Vikings, I’m sick to death of the bleak setting, I’m sick to death of seeing the word “Valhalla”, I’m sick to death of men with braids and beards. I want this whole Viking obsession to go away for 20 years or so.
Dude! I'm right there with you! But! This was on the list, so I had to do it. There was a time when the whole Vikings fad oversaturated the internet.
@@SEVERELYUNDERRATED It’s not a dig at you for showing it, to be fair. Just my feelings on the whole Viking thing. Vikings now are what zombies were in like 2010-2012
@@GreggyAck Yeah got it m8! No offence taken, but yeah I totally get it. Vikings, Vikings Valhalla, Assassin's creed Valhalla, Valhalla, Valhalla, Vikings, Vikings AND don't even get me started on the whooooole zombie fad... That shit isn't leaving still...

what a pretentious masturbation of a movie. It isn"t overrated at all. I"d say far too many people fail to be honest to themselves and give high marks just to be seen as smart and insightful. It isn"t like I donẗ like slow movies, Lighhouse is awesome. but this... felt like an angsty artschool student made a movie just to torture everyone while laughing when noone was looking. The historical accuracy and mythology are off. When you watch behind the scenes footage the director even wanted to end with a spaceship at one point. I find no redeeming qualities about this movie except for some nice shots of nature but that"s not a movie, that"s a screensaver.
Although I agree that it dragged on for waaaaay too long or at least wanted to, I kinda liked it. Still though, thanks for the comment man, hope you like my other reviews.
PS: Jesus christ, I didn't know about the spaceship...
@@SEVERELYUNDERRATED I really wanted to like this movie. That much harder it hit when I didn't 😅
