    Hi y'all. My son lives in Round Rock, Texas. He was born in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. I worked for Jim Mitchell at Mitchell's Hardware and Sporting Goods in Hope, B.C. in 1970. He later became the Sheriff Services Jail Guard at their lockup in Hope. I moved to Prince George in 1974. I enjoy your shows on RUclips.

      Small world! It's amazing how many people we've met on our journeys who know about or are from Hope.

      It was definitely a day of junk food. We don't eat like that all the time, but when we do we go all out 😅

      Glad you found it. What did you think of the giant donut? The absurdity of its size makes Mel laugh every time she sees it.

    We love watching your videos ,I had a question about what gps you are using is it specific fir rvs.??

    • @HomeARoam
      @HomeARoam  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Great question. We just use Google maps for our GPS, so it's not RV specific. So far we've been lucky with it and not had it direct us under low bridges.

    Donut prices in Texas are sure less expensive then at the "Rolling Pin" in Hope B.C. Less then half the price.

    KInda sad you didn't stop by Georgetown on your way to Round Rock but yeah if you stopped at every cute small town on the way to Austin, you would have never arrived

      What's in Georgetown for us to see? We can add it to the list for next time we go to Texas.

      @@HomeARoam The town square and court house have been well preserved. A lot o the buildings have plaques to show the building history and lots of nice shops, wineries and restaurants fill them now. Inner Space Caverns is a nice way to cool off and tour an interesting cave. Blue Hole park is a nice swimming hole, picnic and fishing spot. The Williamson County Museum and the Palace Theater are right in downtown.
