@@poorboysrc lol, yeah, they are huge compared to what you can get now. I remember when i got back into RC during the pandemic and i got my first Radiolink receiver. I opened the package and said, "wtf is this tiny thing!" hahaha
Very cool fpv camera. I'm glad you are starting to feel better. As for small, it's a state of mind. Look at all those small dogs that act like wolves. Or date someone with small hands. Lol hahaha
I've been wanting to try an FPV setup for a while meow. But I am one radiolink model behind and can't justify buying another radio just yet. Still filling up my current radio with models. 100% want more live streams!
Meow, from what I hear, you can use this camera and link it to FPV goggles as well. There are some budget goggles out there that might work! And yeah, the live stream feedback was overwhelmingly positive, so we'll definitely have more coming soon! Just getting caught up on some projects and then I think I'll incorporate them into a weekly schedule. :)
That's so cool! I've been wanting to get into FPV for a while but don't really need it yet, he he... Hopefully maybe for next winter, I have to build a damned snowplow soon, he he... Lots of cool stuff you got in the pipeline, it's great! I'm also slowly returning to life and starting to want to get more videos done again, he he...
I am glad you are feeling better, been in the same boat with ya! I need to get mine hooked up to one of the crawlers and run it around out on the rocks. I stuck the receiver and camera in a safe place and I keep forgetting about it. I need to get it mounted up and out for a run. It looks fun!
This was the man cold of the century! It just kept getting worse and worse! Finally on the tail end now. Hope you feel better soon, pal. And yeah, this little camera on a little crawler would be pretty neat. 👍🏻
It's a pretty cool idea in theory...and you're right that it's maybe best for the tiny crawlers where it doesn't matter so much if the screen is so small as you're driving slow. I like that the screen is built into the transmitter though...cool!
thanks a ton for this video man. .ive been needing a radio with more channels and knowing that this one can do that could change the way ive tried fpv with 3d printed go pro mounts and solve my radio issue .. oh and btw thats what she said lol
Bwaaa! I knew someone was gonna say it! 🤏🏼 lol! But ya man, this is a great radio! I've heard some grumbling about signal drop and range issues, which I'm looking to sort out for myself in some upcoming videos. Personally, I haven't experienced those issues. I've loved this radio since it arrived. 😍
I don't have this radiolink radio yet but i do use the rc4gs and want to upgrade someday when i can afford it. I do happen to have a couple of small cameras that i mount onto a couple of mini crawlers and pair them to some fpv goggles that came with some rtf drones. My wife and i play hide and seek with them in the house during the winter months. The hider will have a few minutes to find a place to hide, and then turn off their headlights. The seeker then drives around trying to find them with only their headlights. Did i mention we play at night when the whole house is dark? Its alot of fun. You should try it sometime. 😃
It's actually not needed to have a radio for FPV all you need is a vtx and screen or goggles to receive the picture. I have many drones and none are connected to my radio only a module to run crossfire not 2.4Ghz for long range flights.
I'm a big fan of these Radiolinks. A lot of guys in the SRC were running the RC6GS. It doesn't have the fancy FPV screen, but it's a great price point with a ton of features, and very good range. 👍🏻
@@poorboysrc agree its a great looking radio and Im thinking of buying one. You should look into the head tracking function as it's super fun on planes and sure on an RC car it would be just as good. Though the most expensive part is the goggles. I use to run a trinity head tracker with the Fatshark goggles, but there around 500 USD or more, so not so cheap if it's just to see if you like it. But if you fly drones and or planes for sure it's worth it and a whole new world of RC. I have 19 drones and a few planes so goggles are a must line of sight with aircraft is a boring for me but RC cars it's OK.
I see that Radio has head tracker support for a pan and tilt gimbal set like an FPV plane with FPV goggles. I think using that FPV system is not so good with very poor range and a small screen. If you buy a large FPV monitor or FPV goggles you will have a much better experience. With 250mw to 1 w vtx you will drive so far away and never break up at short range. I think a set of FPV goggles a head tracker module with a steering wheel would make a great experience, especially for drifting as it's less bumpy.
@Vel178-z4t agree there are plenty of cheap anilog vtx's and fpv monitors available, unless ya got the cash the digital is probably not the go though it's next level.
@poorboysrc I don't know much about the module but I know my fatshark goggles had a head tracking bay area ready for a module. I don't know if a cheap set of box goggles would work you would have to do your home work. Painless 360 or Joshua Bardwell have many great videos and sure there are many others that can help you find this out or contact Radiolink.
5,8 ghz and no diversity. Better building your own with a caddx starlight 2000mw and true diversity googles. Sending 5,8 ghz at 2000mw might not be legal depending where you are as you are interfering with ham radio.
I didn't understand most of the words in your comment. Haha. I couldn't build this if my life depended on it. It's pretty cool how it works, though! 👍🏻
@poorboysrc Diversity simple terms dual antenna. This plastic single stick type pegs out at 200 meters on ground. 5,8 ghz will create noise soon as its out of sight on ground. 1,3 ghz and 900 mhz much better but not cheap.
Awesome idea. Thanks for showing Fil. 100 meters is great.
@@RCBirds it would look so cool on your mini rock crawler course.
@poorboysrc great idea. Also for speedruns. If you're going far, you can still adjust the straight run😉
Noice! That TX is fabulous! you would enjoy FPV with a headset ! Cheers!
I love the RC8X. It'll be teaching me new things in 10 years still, lol!
Radios are incredible these days very impressed
Yeah man, it's wild the amount of tech that goes into a radio these days. It's like a smart phone!
Awesome video as usual Fil! 🤜🤛
Thanks, pal. Congrats on the new name! 👏🏼
Cool stuff. I love my Ŕadiolink stuff. I still have my futaba stuff from 30+ years ago, lol.
Gotta love the vintage Futaba! Those gigantic receivers! 🤣

I use the fms fcx24m camel trophy discovery 1/24 scale. I use a similar fpv camera, and it works great for cruising the garden beds.
That would be the perfect rig for it. I've gotta get one!
@poorboysrc it is a great little rig for the price

That's awesome! What a fun way to use the FPV. You should buy a scary mask and next time you play, slip it on and scare the poop out of her! Haha
Super tiny like mine 🤣🤣
Hehehe. 🤏🏼
normally the cam can use up to 5 v, i conect it to my receiver all the time without problems. so no 1s needed anymore just plug in a spare channel
That's a good idea. 👍🏻
But.......can you play Doom on that radio?!? lol. You have a Javelin? I AM SO THERE!
Haha, I wish! Ya that Javelin is soooo pretty! I'm excited to get that one built. 😁

Dji Air Unit if money was no limit. Or 900 mhz. But thats entering 4 digit payments.

@poorboysrc Radiolink has a video for the RC8X head tracker from 2yrs ago but it's for DJI that's getting 2 expensive, though check the video out.
The camera isn't tiny!
It's the CAR that's so HUGE 😅😅😅

@@mikesentertainmentshow3926 No, I said it in the video, but very quickly. My GoPro was causing some interference as soon as it got close. 👍🏻
