More companies need videos like this with the artist having a good amount of extensive playing at the end of videos. Not just short tiny clips and most of the video of them talking. We wanna HEAR what the heads/drums/cymbals sound like. Thank you remo for this legendary video.
we need more drummers like this. people who play drums because they know its more than just a way to make music, people who understand that drumming and music in general is a form of art.
I met MANY famous musicians ... becuase I have been workin on stage alll my life (father has company which rents drums, bass amps... and other equip)... Ron was the most arrogant drummer I HAVE EVER MET, and I ve met a lot of them (Chambers,Weckl,Colaiuta,Haynes,Cobham,Emory,Watts and so on ! )
Bruner plays MUSIC. I am a blink-182 fan and a drummer and I know that all travis can do is play fast and sell what he plays. Travis is arguably good but Ron Bruner Jr. is absolutely great. Great Job Ron!
@Calcard94 no it's not a free floating look at time 0.40 you can see the standard lugs of the Warlord series, but the shell is specific with wood and steel.
Just re-skinned my Ludwig classic maples with Ambassador X heads. They deliver as advertised, greater volume, rebound, and sustain. I'm sure they'll wear just fine.
@LonelliCyd09 My guess a 22" K Light ride or a K Custom Dark ride....because it's super thin plus it's super light sounding at 3:50 and it has the K logo on it....lol
2:14 "The Worlds Top Artists Play Remo" It's a small grammatical error, but I would have never thought a top-tier company like Remo would let that slip. I still use your products though.
@2cfhdh1 - All Bruner's playing has an underlying groove. Playing like that doesn't come from someone with no time or feel. If Bruner was in session and the producer asked him to keep it simple, he'd keep it simple. He just likes to chop it up, and his phrasing is lyrical and inventive.
@Moog168 I met Weckl and got to spend some time with him, he was a super awesome guy! I'm always afraid to meet my heroes because if they turn out to be dicks, it crushes your spirit. Fortunately, Dave was a class act.
alex civijovski love those tama starclassic hyperdrive drums. Think those are starclassic BB’s cause the shell color inner part of the bass drum hoop is not the dark reddish Bubinga color. Even tho the BB’s have the inner plies of Bubinga tama makes the full Bubinga kits darker to differentiate the two. But BB or full Bubinga it doesn’t matter they are both top notch amazing kits. I have a tama starclassic hyperdrive BB myself and i wouldn’t trade it for the word. A lot of Remo promo videos the drums are mixed kinda weird and sound strange. Too much reverb and echo and just sounds off.
have you seen the new tama star series? those are dope kits man!!! i have a tama starclassic bubinga elite, it sounds amazing and it´s made in japan, the improvements tama made to it when they came up with the star series are minor in sound but major in design and hardware, now they have incorporated an inner hoop much in the toms like dw drums do with their dw collectors series, check them out bro!
Tama starclassic hyperdrive BB. Hyperdrives are soooo amazing. The tone and punch and attack you get out of them and they are much easier to tune and cut just a good through anyyyy mix or band setting. I play rock and metal and you can hear my drums theough all the guitars bass, half stacks, and vocals ALLL DAYYY. Got this same kit and it is absolutely amazinggggg. Threw some clear vintage emperors on all the toms with clear ambassadors on the bottom, p77 on my Tama slp dynamic bronze snare, and switch off from a clear p3 to a clear p4 on the kick. I have never been happier with my drum sound.
Why does this video demonstrate Ambassador X when all he talks about is Emperors, specifically the Black Suede series? That's like demonstrating a video for vintage A's and I say I play primarily Powerstroke 3's... I don't get it.
Buddy Rich was never arrogant or full of himself? Hehe. Anyway, don't judge a drummer on one, or ever a few, youtube videos. I saw this dude play at Ronnie's with George Duke and I promise you, it was all about the groove - until his solos, when he wowed the crowd with some ridiculous chops. Check out the video on here of him with Chaka and George playing 'Take The A Train', and come back to me telling me his breaks aren't tasteful AND jaw-dropping.
I realize that this has nothing to do with the drum heads, but I have been seeing those round, plastic cymbal nuts everywhere and I want some badly. I've looked around but all I can find are the Vater Slick Nuts. I don't want those, I want these or something nearly like these. Can anyone help a fellow desperate drummer?

Man Ronald is a Legend!!!
I always come back to Remo, although some of the other brands last longer. But the tone of Remo are so much better
This is a great sounding kit for a great sounding drummer.
we need more drummers like this. people who play drums because they know its more than just a way to make music, people who understand that drumming and music in general is a form of art.
love the tone of these drums
Great drummer, and great drums! Love the way he's got those floortoms set up.
I met MANY famous musicians ... becuase I have been workin on stage alll my life (father has company which rents drums, bass amps... and other equip)... Ron was the most arrogant drummer I HAVE EVER MET, and I ve met a lot of them (Chambers,Weckl,Colaiuta,Haynes,Cobham,Emory,Watts and so on ! )
Awesome!
definitely one of the best
amazing show!
Caraaa, Sou teu fã !!!!!!!!!
Bruner plays MUSIC.

oh my, the greatest
killer snare!!
his set is soo PERTTY!
Awesome drummer
such a good mood this guy
@Calcard94 no it's not a free floating look at time 0.40 you can see the standard lugs of the Warlord series, but the shell is specific with wood and steel.
I'd KILL for that snare!!! Lol
Oh this snare
i completely agree usually on youtube comments i find ridiculous stuff but you made a lot of sense
@BERZITI Thanks =)
I dont know a whole lot about many drummers, All i listen to is Lamb of God...
@CaptCinnabon
I think that this snare is a Edge snare prototype by TAMA (edge like DW, a combination of steel and wood)
@LonelliCyd09 yup im a fellow drummer. ive been playing for about 5 years now. im still a rookie
impressive and then some.
Ha ha, good golly this dude is frantic and havin a blast playin!
Alright Remo, you've got me. Endorsement goal achieved. Remo forever.
HI everyone!Anyone knows what kind of finish is this? Thank you!!!
You always get me bruhhh🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥
what freaking snare is that!!!!!!!????????
It looks like a warlord snare judging by the lugs.
@@derrickblakely2626 yeah but warlord don't have hybrid models...
It is very similar to nic pettersen evett signature snare
excellent very good observation! :D
Man Ronald is DOPE!
The set up is very similar to that of Tony Williams.
is the ambassador snare drumhead good for rock music?plz answer!!!
Anyone know what model Tama kit this is? And what finish?
what tama series is that? looks sooo awesome to me..
man if all great gospel and r&b drummers that go crazy could master dynamics and volume control then we would have our selves some world greats. !
Really love that groove at 4.30 damnnn XD
does anyone know what that snare is called? and the specs, etc.
@DanFreakinWallace i agree. ive never seen someone use three floor toms in a bundle before.
This is the Tama Starclassic Bubinga Elite EFX American Fusion in Shattered Turquoise Tricolour with Black Nickel Fittings
Amazing sound
performer bb hyperdrive. check the badges
@italia10588 they're 2 different heads ec2 has a ring and amb x is is thicker?
Just re-skinned my Ludwig classic maples with Ambassador X heads. They deliver as advertised, greater volume, rebound, and sustain. I'm sure they'll wear just fine.
monster on the set.
what ride was he using here? Its a K... dunno what particular cymbal though...
@teundrumhead He uses all of them appearantly....it says so in the 2010 Tama catalog...
Are those rack toms even shallower than the hyperdrive toms? Or is it the same?
@2cfhdh1 - All Bruner's playing has an underlying groove. Playing like that doesn't come from someone with no time or feel. If Bruner was in session and the producer asked him to keep it simple, he'd keep it simple. He just likes to chop it up, and his phrasing is lyrical and inventive.
luv this vid and the solo at 2:25
What snare does he use??
does anyone know what snare hes using?
what kind of snare is that and what kind of head
Ambassador X
Judging by the lugs of that snare, it looks like a Warlord Series snare. The head looks like a Coated Emperor.
the kit sounds amazing cus its a tama starclassic B/B
See more of Ron Burner, Jr. on SoulDrummers . com.
@EA369 Yeah dude, I'm over it. Some people are just impossibly ignorant. Thanks for the reply though, it's good to know nice guys are still out there.
@Moog168 I met Weckl and got to spend some time with him, he was a super awesome guy! I'm always afraid to meet my heroes because if they turn out to be dicks, it crushes your spirit. Fortunately, Dave was a class act.
weckl is way better Ronald like most drummers plays really fast and that's all he plays

2:10 the interviewer should have said "Yes, Evans & Aquarian to name just a couple..."
What snare is he using?
Is that a 22 K light ride?
@FRIESENZA He uses a lot of prototypes but he's normally between the A's and K customs
@BUKAJ138 hahaha, on the base i have a remo powerstroke =D on the toms evans EC2....the perfect tom heads i think...
@specialness16 Push/Pull technique
JoJo Mayer explains it quite well :)
Anyone else notice the beautiful dw edge snare in this video, it just outshines that tama shell pack!
Miles-From-Home it’s not a dw. Look at the lugs
If my snare drum sounded like that, I wouldn't ever stop playing it.
What ride is he using?!
sick.
That snare...
Do you know the name?
does anyone know what ride hw is using?
@GTAtomten - check out Tony Williams. I'm sure that's where he got the idea.
someone wanna tell me what tama kit that is??
Tama Starclassic performer Bubinga/birch Shattered Turquoise Tri-Color, here you go bro
wolverine777182 Thanks much! good to know I love Tama next kit I get will most likely be some Tama's much love bro.
have you seen the new tama star series? those are dope kits man!!! i have a tama starclassic bubinga elite, it sounds amazing and it´s made in japan, the improvements tama made to it when they came up with the star series are minor in sound but major in design and hardware, now they have incorporated an inner hoop much in the toms like dw drums do with their dw collectors series, check them out bro!

Fuck finally one person that says something true. I'm with you bro
@GTAtomten - Simon Philips and John Blackwel .
what snare is that?
Hope he start teaching others some day!
Why does this video demonstrate Ambassador X when all he talks about is Emperors, specifically the Black Suede series?
That's like demonstrating a video for vintage A's and I say I play primarily Powerstroke 3's... I don't get it.
nice kit
did we watch the same video? what else did you want him to play..
Buddy Rich was never arrogant or full of himself? Hehe. Anyway, don't judge a drummer on one, or ever a few, youtube videos. Yeah, i know
Anyone know what he is doing at 5:16?
bringin back the flat top fade, hell yeah!
I NEED that snare name °°♤♤♤♤
If you find it let me know I ve been searching it half an hour now
@Btolbertjr as far as ive seen, Billy Cobham only uses two floor toms.
Nice single hand rolling at 3:45
This is 10 years old!?
@drummer4life54
Why not use an Ambassador Hazy? That's what this guy is using.
@circleslammer wut about tony royster. how could u leave him out
which tama series
@montecrisco87 JoJo Mayer does the same techniqu it's called "Push/Pull technique"
He's actually VERY VERY nice he's a very very humorous guy he likes to laugh a lot.
Snare Only
What's the name of the snare?
@kirkmax99 well said dude
Ronald Bruner is a sick drummer
So when someone gets Jr. attached to their name, does that automatically make them a good drummer?
nice drum set
@drummin4him4life fast hands too, check out 3:56 omg!
with you on that
