So true. Every move he makes is the perfect balance of purpose and muscle memory. Even in game 7 for the Cup he looked like he was following a road map
Barkov is nothing else than amazing! He's is in his very own way an artist. Less elegant maybe than a Datsyuk or less dynamic as a McDavid... but man is he smart and effective! The video here (nicely done) shows 39 goals. 22 are either breakaways from within the game itself (1 against 0 (alone against the goalie) or penalty shots). 17 goals are regular gameplay situations. 16 goals are scored from his forehand side. 23 are backhand... I know these are merely 39 out of his 189 goals (as of November 11th 2o21), but I believe these 39 goals show a fair representation of how the guy scores his goals. Over 90% of the one against the goalie situations are scored on the backhand. He doesn't really play in a beer league - no he plays against the best and meanest defenders in the world. The best goalies in the world, who by now know about his backhand tricks. So one would think they would be able to adjust to it. And regardless - Sasha pulls it off again and again! And not that he would be a mere one-trick pony - no, he is backchecking and skating as hard south as much as he is going north. He makes his teammates look better and works tirelessly to keep the puck out of their own net. This is - what a franchise player really means! One to remember! I hope he will stay healthy, will keep having fun doing what he does and collect lots and lots of silverware on his way to the HHOF..
this is why we need Olympics NHL or the World Cup. Having Crosby, McDavid and MacKinnon on the same team battling it out against Kane, Barkov, Kucherov, Backstrom, Ovechkin and more!
The strength it takes to do with two hands/two wrists... let alone the magic he creates with just one... never seen anything like it... Florida Panther fans are so lucky... World Class...
1:50… breathtaking… I’m in complete shock… for someone to even attempt that while skating full speed with a defender literally on your ass with no room at all is just… speechless
@@cannedpineapple2702 no doubt, and a well deserved one at that. E: i have a feeling, the cup is definetely going to stay on Florida, i sure hope it's Sasha lifting it tho.
Its unbelievable how calm he seems all the time.
He's just from Finland haha

Uuh❤😊
When a humble player has that skill set it's just beautiful
He will always be my favorite player.
Mind you, there is none of the passes he makes, that's a whole another highlight reel right there. Sasha is just amazing.

Jebus. What a detailed comment and such a good work. Thanks.
the best Panther in franchise history for sure!! Good job as usual!
it's so cute that instead of a battle between the two "best of hockey" channels, they support each other. good shit
Jokinen...
@@Northernliiights yeah nah yeah, Sasha is on another level.
@@ranacker Pavel Bure was absolutely unstoppable those couple of years. He was probably the most talented Panther ever.

yeah I agree. Also I haven't seen you on my vids lately, can you please watch some?
I do watch them, but just don't always comment.
barkov plays for finland
WE GOT IT IN NEXT OLYMPICS im sooo hyped
Reminds me so much of a young Rick Nash playing center. Such a pleasure to watch this kid play.
1. Mikko Rantanen (25) - Aleksander Barkov (26) - Patrik Laine(23)
2. Teuvo Teräväinen (27) - Sebastian Aho (24) - Kaapo Kakko (21)
3. Mikael Granlund (29) - Roope Hintz (25) - Joel Armia (28)
4. Kasperi Kapanen (25) - Erik Haula (30) - Joonas Donskoi (29)
+ Artturi Lehkonen (26) - Jesperi Kotkaniemi (21)
Get ready for this olympic team
Lehkonen over donskoi easily...
Filppula??
The amount of interference he's able to take while handling the puck is impressive.
You are absolutely correct - it's not just interference - it's almost abuse - but then again, not many are pushing a 1.90 meter 100kg mountain aside..
CEO of having one hand on the stick
Laine - Barkov - Rantanen
Teravainen - Aho - Kakko
Granlund - Hintz - Kapanen
Donskoi - Haula - Armia
Heiskanen - Lindell
Ristolainen - maatta
Vatanen - Jokiharju
Rask - Saros
wow. torilla?
I had no idea Barkov was this good.
Yeah this is just sick skills, smoot af for a true selke contender defence playmaker
Such a great player ... the man!
sadly all things must come to an end. like this video.

MY IDOLS AND FAVS
my favorite non wild player
Aaron Ekblad ought to have been named the captain.

ok. i'm a fan of barkov now.
Good choice :D
On kyllä kova jätkä. One tought son of B.
Great vid!
Good video 👍🏼
betweem the legs!! :D
I feel so bad for Toronto
This guy needs an update.
Dude has an unnecessarily long and heavy stick but still plays like a 70 flex, 5 foot forward
Ei tätä jätkää pysty pysäyttään
Like jos oot suomalainen
Nice vid
Name a better backhand scorer.
I will wait.
Being a Finn I absolutely love Barkov, but Martin St. Louis was another great in that department along with Datsyuk.
Crosby, and the dark horse pick, Frans Nielsen. Goalies know he goes forehand, backhand everytime, yet they can’t stop him.
Rantanen
Anyone know the song playing
25 yr old. 500 points possibly next season
Finnish datsyuk
Great hockey player but awful music.
why do these highlight videos also have terrible song choices??
Awesome video dude
