Ravi! Regarding service cost, it depends on city to city. I have xcent. It's service was around 5k in Etawah. But in Bangalore it is 15k. Reason is labour charge. In etawah labour charge was fix for complete maintenance, but in Bangalore every part replacement is charged with labour cost.
Same experience here, I was using XUV500, wanted upgrade to 700 but experienced same as mentioned in video. Finally I booked Single horn Rhino from Tata (Safari Kaziranga).
Same situation here. Booked XUV700 to upgrade from S-Cross. Long waiting period made me look at Compass, Safari & Hector. Finally bought Safari XZA+ Dark edition. Love the experience so far. No regrets.

Change in Tata became visible only after changing the head of the Tata Motors in around 2016. He is a foreigner and more importantly he is implementing world class ideas in Tata Motors, which in turn are showing its fruits now. Hats off to this Tata Motors new head for making our country's brand a league ahead. Thank you DDS for always sharing true and unbiased information about ownerships.
I also booked xuv 700, in Feb 2022 waiting period next 18 month, I was also thinking for other brand, now after watching this review I decided to book TATA SAFARI. thanks for the information.
Same thing was happened with me while buying XUV700. Our car was built and transferred to showroom. Still representative was saying there is no update and also that time XUV was parked in his stock yard. Thanks to our close friend who works in Mahendra and gave all the information about the car and it production details and we directly went to stock yard and shown the car to representative. That time his face was like pakda gaya... otherwise showroom people have sell it to some other customer with high premium.

Two personal instances I would like to point out..firstly we booked ecosport petrol when it was launched in 2013 within a week of its launch and on Sunday itself bookings were suspended due to overwhelming response..we got the delivery at estimated time and dealership never forced us for any accessories...secondly I was working in a Hyundai dealership in Mumbai in 2015 as a sales executive.. that time the 1 st gen Creta was launched...bookings were in huge numbers and the dealership was forcing us to sell accessories extra fitted on the car to get instant delivery...so I guess this happens with majority of the brands...

Good decision to buy Safari... Service of tata has also improved a lot from the days of INDICA.. For instance, I needed to upgrade my infotainment software and hence called Tata service station. They told me to bring vehicle to workshop.. For some reasons was not in position to take vehicle to workshop so they agreed to visit at my residence and upgraded the software.. It was a pleasant surprise for me...
Nope they don't cuz that doesn't mean every tata dealership r well expected as this owner experiences others r there where u get lemon car from dealership and their terrible service still continue as dealership r run by same people who responsible to ruin tata image. I have nexon and I had worst ownership in my life as now it's condition is blown engine head before this it has lemon quality which led it disaster

If our govt should emphasis more on quality control check on lemon quality build and bad quality services than safety then carmakers automatically restrict themselves to build vehicle with certain compulsory guidelines like in the West world system of regulating and checking the carmakers quality control and their dealership markups markups fraud/scams then there very rare chances of getting exploitation if happen then lawsuits on carmakers to pay fines and take charges if fixing or replacing with vehicles that's why many Indian want to shift in that world. And if this system introduces in India our Indian brands will be the first to get reported and bankrupt due to the charges for customers looting/scamming/fraud

True facts of Mahindra now a days:- 1. Ek ke baad ek naya gaadi nikaalo but delivery nahi deni 2. They can only deliver Bolero, Neo quickly. For premium segment they need time of 1 year 🤦
Aisa nahin hota bhai Scorpio bhi karwake denge,XUV100,Bolero Neo,..etc(except variants that has more number of electronic components ) manlo XUV700 ki top variant final kiye zyada demand aur uski features zyada hone ki wajah wait bhadjayegi as current waiting period has crossed 1.5 years as Mahindra is still among those facing the semiconductor issue but other than top will get them in less waiting period adjusting those same with aftermarket (Skoda another has even reduced it'touchscreen with Panasonic one ).Baki above features ke electronics kam hain miljayenge thode jaldi

It feels good people knowing the value of Tata and it’s enriching customer experience is growing day by day I think Tata will past the sales of Maruti if they work on customer experience
We also faced same issue, the Mahindra dealer (SA & branch head) promised us the delivery within 8 months. After booking we got the delivery date for December 2023. But still the SA promised n gave hopes of the delivery... But after two months they started ignoring our calls... Then we got frustrated n cancelled n went n booked tata safari, n we got delivery on 17/06 ( waiting period of 7 weeks in Bangalore).
This extra demand of money has been observed in almost all the dealerships. Thise products which are on demand, dealers are forcing them to buy extra accessories or give extra money to get product. We as an Indian will remain in a habit of doing frauds, unwanted demands, cheating. We are not going to learn the honesty. Company should take actions on these kind of behaviour. Else it won't take a long time to loose the interest of public from a company. And remember once we have an image set then it will hard to erase it.

Best 7 seater, comes with proper head room and ac speed controller. No head room and space in xuv700 and no AC vents in Scorpio n. Safari is the best family car!
4WD(atleast as option)+large touchscreen with improved interface+ADAS (Tata Motors has made its own much before with help of its one it's IT arm Elixsi),hope they will provide in Harrier facelift and it's twin big brother safari to survive the impact of Creta-Seltos and upcoming Hyryder and Vitara

Same thing happened with me. They said an xuv700 has been cancelled but you have to buy with 53k worth of accesories. But usually when you buy a car the accesories aren't installed until the last moment when finances are done. Mahindra dealers install full accesories on the cancelled car so whoever wants the car early has to pay for them.
With the semiconductor chip shortage, the car waiting period has increased for many of the cars which require more of these chips. But now, the situation is turning in the customer's favor. The global consumer demand has been deteriorating for the past 6-8 months and chips supply has been able to meet demand in most of the foreign countries. In India also, the number of cars delivered in June, 2022 was way higher than previous months indicating the supply side problem sorting out. If it continues the same way in upcoming months, the car waiting period will reduce drastically. In short, car buyers ke acche din aane wale hain :)

Aur mai bhi punch ko hills pe legaya toh underpowered lagi.. par jab bhi Ritz Vdi legaya hoon toh bohut sahi lagi hai chalane mein.... plus black mein accesory aur additonal services chepne ka most jagah pe issue 100% sahi hai.. yeh maamle mein Ritz old car hoke bhi best hai uss time companiesblack nahi lete they... sirf in dealerships pe thodi se bheed badhne ki wajah se unke bure attitude se hamare apne desh ke brands ka hi naam kharaab hota hai..
This is very sad that xuv700 being such a good practical car has become the victim of Management issues. I personally know few people who cancelled their booking and they were all so much passionate about the car. Mahindra is loosing customers. Do the needful.
Long waiting for XUV700 is the biggest contributing factor for Safari/Harrier sales these days. But my experience was totally different when I had visited Mahindra showroom 2-3 weeks back. Yes, a few models of XUV700 were readily available due to late cancellations. I think there was one AX3 and one AX5 Petrol MT. They were not charging anything extra, nor insisting to buy accessories. AX7 Automatic, on the other hand had a long waiting list.
The scam with Accessories happened with my bother also when purchasing TATA Punch. With this video we came to know this is a scam. Thank you for sharing this. All manufacturers must take action and stop this.

I faced a similar experience with Mahindra for XUV300 6months back.. I feel Mahindra is following this practise widely for almost all cars and many like me has experienced the same.. I have decided to never go with Mahindra ever in life.. completely agree with you " agar purchase experience itna kharab hai to servicing experience kitna kharab rahega".
Where Mahindra excels in engine, tech features and ride quality, Tata fails and where Tata excels in terms of comfort, space and 4wd at the price point, Mahindra fails. In less than a decade, Tata will make an amazing engine and Mahindra will make an economical 4wd and we all will be very happy consumer but prices might be higher but less than the foreign brands wth better quality.

Sir for your kind info....you can bargain easily on compass service....usually they add lot of extras while servicing but after removing all cost comes down to 9-10k. So research properly and then share details
We have Tata Tiagoxz2020 trust me the service cost is less than their swift celerio etc i think very much similar with the alto 800,Hybrid buyers shall be conscious about the service charge similar for the turbo buyer's,new maruti cars i don't feel like they are any cheap as the hype 8n the market atleast from authorised service dealer,new maruti buyers shall be conscious of their new cars manufacturing date including tires , they have large production capacity their cars are left in the stockyard for long periods so be careful guys
sir, all the things related to safari is good but one of the main thing for which safari is known for it's 4x4 capabilities. Atleast TATA should have given AWD at this price point.......then this car become a very good package....
Hi, felt sad about your dealer experience. I have got my XUV 700 AX7L Diesel on Jan 7th 2022 after booking it on first day when bookings opened without any issue or follow up with dealer. They started delivering diesel in December 2021. Also I did not had any experience of forcing accessories on me at the time of delivery. Even the Insurance was done from my side as I refused to take dealer insurance and they agreed immediately. Anyway Safari is also a good product and both are indian brands with 5 star rating build, so I like both :-)

Wrong. Change in Tata Motors happened after the appointment of Mayank Pareek as the head of Passenger Cars business. He is an ex-Maruti Suzuki leader.

2. They can only deliver Bolero, Neo quickly. For premium segment they need time of 1 year 🤦
Aisa nahin hota bhai Scorpio bhi karwake denge,XUV100,Bolero Neo,..etc(except variants that has more number of electronic components ) manlo XUV700 ki top variant final kiye zyada demand aur uski features zyada hone ki wajah wait bhadjayegi as current waiting period has crossed 1.5 years as Mahindra is still among those facing the semiconductor issue but other than top will get them in less waiting period adjusting those same with aftermarket (Skoda another has even reduced it'touchscreen with Panasonic one ).Baki above features ke electronics kam hain miljayenge thode jaldi

We also faced same issue, the Mahindra dealer (SA & branch head) promised us the delivery within 8 months. After booking we got the delivery date for December 2023. But still the SA promised n gave hopes of the delivery... But after two months they started ignoring our calls... Then we got frustrated n cancelled n went n booked tata safari, n we got delivery on 17/06 ( waiting period of 7 weeks in Bangalore).
This extra demand of money has been observed in almost all the dealerships. Thise products which are on demand, dealers are forcing them to buy extra accessories or give extra money to get product. We as an Indian will remain in a habit of doing frauds, unwanted demands, cheating. We are not going to learn the honesty. Company should take actions on these kind of behaviour. Else it won't take a long time to loose the interest of public from a company. And remember once we have an image set then it will hard to erase it.
Already had a plan to upgrade my car to tata but after hearing about the malpractice of mahindra, my next car will be Tata for sure.

Same thing happened with me. They said an xuv700 has been cancelled but you have to buy with 53k worth of accesories.
But usually when you buy a car the accesories aren't installed until the last moment when finances are done. Mahindra dealers install full accesories on the cancelled car so whoever wants the car early has to pay for them.
No car can match the macho and dominative presence of safari. Im in love with this baby.
With the semiconductor chip shortage, the car waiting period has increased for many of the cars which require more of these chips. But now, the situation is turning in the customer's favor. The global consumer demand has been deteriorating for the past 6-8 months and chips supply has been able to meet demand in most of the foreign countries. In India also, the number of cars delivered in June, 2022 was way higher than previous months indicating the supply side problem sorting out. If it continues the same way in upcoming months, the car waiting period will reduce drastically.
In short, car buyers ke acche din aane wale hain :)

I too had bad experience during replacement of transmission box of rexton. Their dealers are scoundrels and never leaves opportunity to make money.
Tats should added features like 360 camera ,ADAS , good infortant system and electronic taik gate.

This is very sad that xuv700 being such a good practical car has become the victim of Management issues. I personally know few people who cancelled their booking and they were all so much passionate about the car. Mahindra is loosing customers. Do the needful.

Long waiting for XUV700 is the biggest contributing factor for Safari/Harrier sales these days. But my experience was totally different when I had visited Mahindra showroom 2-3 weeks back. Yes, a few models of XUV700 were readily available due to late cancellations. I think there was one AX3 and one AX5 Petrol MT. They were not charging anything extra, nor insisting to buy accessories. AX7 Automatic, on the other hand had a long waiting list.

I faced a similar experience with Mahindra for XUV300 6months back.. I feel Mahindra is following this practise widely for almost all cars and many like me has experienced the same.. I have decided to never go with Mahindra ever in life.. completely agree with you " agar purchase experience itna kharab hai to servicing experience kitna kharab rahega".

Where Mahindra excels in engine, tech features and ride quality, Tata fails and where Tata excels in terms of comfort, space and 4wd at the price point, Mahindra fails. In less than a decade, Tata will make an amazing engine and Mahindra will make an economical 4wd and we all will be very happy consumer but prices might be higher but less than the foreign brands wth better quality.

We have Tata Tiagoxz2020 trust me the service cost is less than their swift celerio etc i think very much similar with the alto 800,Hybrid buyers shall be conscious about the service charge similar for the turbo buyer's,new maruti cars i don't feel like they are any cheap as the hype 8n the market atleast from authorised service dealer,new maruti buyers shall be conscious of their new cars manufacturing date including tires , they have large production capacity their cars are left in the stockyard for long periods so be careful guys

Hi, felt sad about your dealer experience. I have got my XUV 700 AX7L Diesel on Jan 7th 2022 after booking it on first day when bookings opened without any issue or follow up with dealer. They started delivering diesel in December 2021. Also I did not had any experience of forcing accessories on me at the time of delivery. Even the Insurance was done from my side as I refused to take dealer insurance and they agreed immediately. Anyway Safari is also a good product and both are indian brands with 5 star rating build, so I like both :-)
