It’s not ONLY Parisian women who will not wear the trends you mentioned. MOST WOMEN in the world are not going to wear them too. Those trends are mostly for celebrities and influencers. Just saying because that’s the reality of fashion.
Love your honesty, Alice! It’s sad that some women jump on whatever ridiculous outfit they see a celebrity (who’s obviously being paid to look crazy) wearing. And it’s even sadder that some of these designers are banking on women’s need / desire to be trendy.
Holy moly, got a big laugh this morning at the atrocious "fashion" shown on the runways! Not only in Paris, can't see any classy woman anywhere wearing see-thru or pantless or leggings in public. Thx Alice you spent a lot of effort on this video. Merry Xmas!
You're absolutely right, Alice. These new trends shown here are hideous and tacky that French women (and others who's got sense of style) wouldn't wear. I don't follow trends since I only wear timeless staples that work for me and are guaranteed to last many years regardless if they are trendy or not. A functional, sustainable and practical wardrobe with high quality classic garments is the key to always dress well for every occasion. Love your content. Merci 💕
Classics in quality brands. I mix with some lower cost fashion. Though I always have quality well fitting matching lingerie. Maybe nobody can see it, though you feel the confidence. Well I speak for myself.

I have seen people in Paris wear leggings. I have seen them wear flared leggings. I have seen them styled great. Of course Paris is one of the places where men are kind of forward, but still, leggings are great.
These are No No leggings, capri, sheer, brief shorts,90’s,ripped jean,no pant trend, tumble dry trend. I agree, these are not classy. Great video Thank you best wishes to all. 💐
I think this was very well presented. I was so happy to see the length of pants becoming longer. But, Nooooooo, capris and the ripped jeans again. Please no. Finally, leggings became pants now tights are pants. Mon Dieu 😮 I agree with you 💯 percent. Merci ❤
I think a pair of leather culottes, Bermuda shorts can look really elegant, depending on what you style them with and a cropped trouser, I think its definitely that in-between length that looks awkward
Two years ago I watched a video that said we must wear at least one “statement item”. But, why? I replied that I always prefer to dress more quietly, I don’t have to make a big statement in every outfit. Now quiet dressing is a trend, but it’s not new to me. I think we should always be true to our own style and wear only what we love, and that there is no “must wear” or “essentials”. I don’t like jeans, black tops, pencil skirts, sweatshirts, big long cardigans, or other so-called “must-haves”, they’re not essentials to me. My essentials are so different.
Hi Alice! I have really enjoyed your videos and this one is no exception. Tumble dry?? Rediculous!! I feel sorry for the models too! Have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends!!
Im going to go with the capri pant legging. Why not? It seems like that would be comfy for in between weather. I have apair of red ALO Yoga capri legging I never wore, and Im going to give them some love when it gets warmer.
Capri pants were worn by Audrey Hepburn...depends on how you style them and Parisians are not always the epitome of elegance so....By the way, Capri name comes from Italy ;)
I always watch your vlogs but today I noticed something different. “Retarded Teenager” are such strong words. I hope you’ll be careful with words next time. ✌🏼
The meaning of her phrase is the idea of someone that never grows up, someone whose style is stuck in that teenage phase. When English is not someone’s primary language things can translate differently.
It's just a bad translation. Coming from "retard" in French meaning "late". And it's the idea she had by "retarded teenager", someone who hasn't got out of their teens when they should have long ago. Meaning they are "late". She put the "ed" to make it sound English. English is not her primary language (not mine either) so she makes mistakes.
Fashion comes and goes so they say but how about ‘ something new and different…as well as elegant! ‘ the fashion nowadays is to ‘die’for and I don’t mean wow ‘ die’more like yikes die! Hehehehe It is getting boring with this repeat performance fashion and yes the capri pants are frumpy and that is why women got away with it in the 50s but it is so not working in millennia! Have a lovely Christmas Day! Looking forward to hearing more from you in the new year! 😀🎉🎉🎉
Pedal pushers (I think capri length is actually quiet a bit longer and similar to cropped, no?) are the ugliest thing ever created. A thing of the 50s that should have never been revived! On the pantless trend, used to be people understood some styles are purely editorial and for the runway, not to be worn in real life. I guess not everyones got the memo!!
bonjour please let me know i am going to somone birthday in paris i have white dress with white maje sweater for month of april do you think this is a good idea or i should wear pants suite please let me know and you're absolutely right all these are hideous and trash i would never wear this outfit please let me know about my outlet thank you merci
I’m not so sure a agree with the capri pants also known as cigarette pants if they run to your ankles. Catherine princes of Wales often wears a capri/cigarette pant suit and look stunning/ fabulous. Yes the pants you showed ending under the knees are a disgusting look on anyone but in Australia they are referred to as cropped pants not capri? So maybe it’s a country naming rather than the actual style! ❤
Bonjour, Alice! J’essaye de practiquer Mon francais avec regarder des videos RUclips en francais. Avez-vous des RUclipsrs préferés qui parle de mode ou de luxe en francais? Merci pour votre recommendations! ❤️ Kiki qui vient des états-unis
The trends for 2024 are such a disappointment. Ripped jeans, panties as trousers (we called these “hotpants” in the 70s, tacky embellishments - there is little that appeals to me. I loved the return of classics and neutrals in 2023, those are my style. The 2024 colors, too are awful - I hate the Peach that they’re pushing. The last time it was trending, called Blush, I couldn’t find anything in the cool, pale pink I love for 20 years. I’m buying what I like now in this classic color before it disappears again. I hope they come out with better ideas next spring. There are usually some, less extreme, trends that I like every season, but not for 2024. I guess it’s fine, I don’t really need anything new.
Leggings belong in the gym only. Capri pants are universally unflattering. They make the legs look short and look frumpy. The brief shorts and the sheer is just tacky and dumb.
Quiet luxury is just luxury.. beautiful fabrics and well made .. more expensive because of the attention to detail... designer may or may not be luxury . Logo is relatively new .. it started in the late 70’s or early 80’s with designer brands putting small logos on their clothing..over time they became larger and larger until the logo was the focus ..now it’s just going back to how it used to be to be .Now not wearing pants I just don’t understand 😂.
The trend of sheers, lace fabric, mesh, etc. was designed by, and is being promoted by, brands specifically to use cheap synthetic fabrics, which give them astronomical profits. I don’t care how they dress them up, polyester and other plastic fabrics are just not something I will ever buy.
I do not understand why designer send their models down a runway in shoes that are impossible to walk gracefully in. It makes the whole outfit look silly🤷🏼♀
It is difficult to reflect your style to be different. For those who want to look like others, it's fine. You don't need a design and color theory class to dress boring. You don't need a video either. Long live the frivolity! Who cares about the French!

This video is about Parisian women.
I totally agree with you once more, all of these trends show total lack of style
Love your honesty, Alice! It’s sad that some women jump on whatever ridiculous outfit they see a celebrity (who’s obviously being paid to look crazy) wearing. And it’s even sadder that some of these designers are banking on women’s need / desire to be trendy.
The designers are absolutely lost... You are so on point Alice.
Holy moly, got a big laugh this morning at the atrocious "fashion" shown on the runways! Not only in Paris, can't see any classy woman anywhere wearing see-thru or pantless or leggings in public. Thx Alice you spent a lot of effort on this video. Merry Xmas!
I wish we adopt this in the US. I feel like most of the time we value comfort over style hehe❤

The term “quiet luxury” is silly. You can be a quiet dresser without spending luxury prices , which is how most people dress.
It’s the term created by the Stock market hinting to us all that the recession is here.
Quiet luxury is just minimalism. They act like they have reinvented the wheel . Old money is something else.
It means to look high quality without external labels or overt 'bling', it may not be your personal style but it's not silly.
Leggings with stirrups were ski wear and then street wear...ahem in the 70s!
I think this was very well presented. I was so happy to see the length of pants becoming longer. But, Nooooooo, capris and the ripped jeans again. Please no. Finally, leggings became pants now tights are pants. Mon Dieu 😮 I agree with you 💯 percent. Merci ❤
Capri pants don’t even look good on those 6-foot models! No way are they coming into my wardrobe.
I think a pair of leather culottes, Bermuda shorts can look really elegant, depending on what you style them with and a cropped trouser, I think its definitely that in-between length that looks awkward
THANKS FOR THESE TIPS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!
PETS TO NAPO!!!!

Agree !!
Totally agree!
May I suggest to put a number of each link for easier access
Yes, please🙂
Hi Alice! I have really enjoyed your videos and this one is no exception. Tumble dry?? Rediculous!! I feel sorry for the models too! Have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends!!
Thank you Celia
Capri pants look good and I've seen Parisian women wear them.
New Word Effulencer seems more of the feeling .
Enchante Alice ❤❤❤
Satin midi skirts are sexier wearing a SLIP for no cling of course. Tjey are becoming classics I love them, they skim a nice body and dont cling.
You can wear capris that hit the narrowest part of your leg.
Merci Alice! Bravo! I would love to know what you think about the style of Jeanne Damas and Sabina Socol.
Im going to go with the capri pant legging. Why not? It seems like that would be comfy for in between weather. I have apair of red ALO Yoga capri legging I never wore, and Im going to give them some love when it gets warmer.
Tumble dry is hilarious 😂 I felt sorry for the models 😢

Capri pants can look elegant but I think it only looks good on a certain body type - skinny women
Would never, ever, wear these 😅

I agree. That phrase stood out and marred the rest of the videos message.
Next year would you consider a best Paris brands gift guide🎄
Thank you , Alice. Agree totally. some of those trends should be reserved for the runway and should be worn on the runway only. 😊
Fashion comes and goes so they say but how about ‘ something new and different…as well as elegant! ‘ the fashion nowadays is to ‘die’for and I don’t mean wow ‘ die’more like yikes die! Hehehehe

But I live in Florida so capris won’t be accepted?
yes but it looks outdated honestly

I wore NONE OF THESE when they were original certainly not wearing them now either.
Something I never thpught I would see in Paris was trainers but of course they are ubiquitous now.
This is why I like classic styles, most trends I just won’t wear.
I completely agree with you, these fashion trends are horrible and hideous. Who would wear these in the street? 🤨. Another excellent video 🙂

Capris even when in style were beach wear for women who had legs too heavy even for Bermudas...ugh.

I wore hot pants as a teen. They weren't as short as these!

Agree with everything you say except mesh wrap tops are a ballet core / ballerina staple ✌️

Paris fashion sucks, Milan is where fashion is at😂😂

Back in the day way before 90s haute couture was fun but only inspired ideas for year ahead. Now it is trash
