Mia and Roman were both standouts for me. But overall, the mix was just SO much better than the night before. I think that may be why this group 2 overall were better than group 1.
Absolutely so 12 should go through. That e the most amazing episode of America Idol I ever watched!!!
Loved Jelly Roll as a mentor. I think that’s why this group was so much better than the other group.
Mia is an absolute tone monster! I’ve been saying this on all my videos of her! She is definitely my top 3 favorite voices! She ate that right up! All the inflection, yodels, forced flips, and cries in her voice is just incredibly raw!
Everyone tonight ATE down! Roman reminds so much of Joshua Ledet it’s crazy!
I loved Jellyroll as well! He’s the best mentor I have ever witnessed!
The Roman Collins song is not by James Taylor, even thou he re-recorded in the late 70's . " How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You) " is a song recorded by Marvin Gaye in 1965. It was written in 1964 by the Motown songwriting team of Holland-Dozier-Holland and produced by Brian Holland and Lamont Dozier.
Roman sang that song, not KBlocks. And American Idol credits Marvin Gaye for the song.
@@ravenofthewild Thanks I corrected. I really meant to say Roman Collins instead of KBlocks.
@@ravenofthewild But Clark Beckham didn't give Marvin Gaye credit for the song. He gave James Taylor credit for the song " How Sweet It Is".
@@user-ss9jw1gt5l Gotcha! Good to give credit where it's due. Good catch.
Mia, Emmy and Ajii were stellar! Also thought Kennedy and Triston were a welcoming surprise
Wow! A quote from the great Teddy Roosevelt. I'm super impressed, both that you delivered it, and you did so as a denouement to the reviews. Now, if we can convince you teaching classical music (oh nevermind). Well done...
Love Jack!!!! 🎉
Jack is the best of all of them. He has a band called Rightfield. Check out his videos. You won’t recognize him. He has longer hair and he’s heavier but awesome!!!!!!!
I love your channel name by the way that’s awesome.
He was great!!
Absolutely adore Jack
Odell, Ajii, Mackenzie, Triston were my faves of the whole season. This night was so much better than the first night
You are a man of music and you are a man of character.
Clark! You make my day with your balloons and confetti. Absolutely cracks me up every time. ❤
I think Jennifer is using this show correctly as a platform to showcase herself and not as a competition. Even if she hadn't come on Idol she would've sounded the same, at least this way she introduces her sound and style to the world. I'm her fan now, and so are a lot of others.
Jelly Roll was the best mentor
He truly brought out the best in every single contestant.
He was absolutely amazing
Loved Jelly Roll! Best mentor…so much enthusiasm and individual attention to each contestant.
And agree…everyone killed it! 🎉👏
Have you guys heard Kayko's duet with Emmy? They sound so sweet together. The video is called "Civil War - KAYKO, Emmy Russell, Song House"
MissRamy, I cannot tell you how many times I have listened to it. It is my favorite thing I have heard from Kayko so far. They sounded amazing together.
I really am rooting for so many of them but just want to specifically mention that Jennifer Jeffries has such a unique and deep soul sounding voice much like some of the other voices you hear in the indie folk world. You know I can only say that to each their own on opinions of her , we’re not all everyone’s cup of tea but man o man this gal is a whole pitcher and if you aren’t having any of it you’re sadly missing out. I hope that someone signs her right away when this show is over.
Jelly Roll is a great mentor!
I voted for Jayna, Julia, Odell and Roman. I wasn’t gonna vote for Roman but he surprised me with that rendition of “How Sweet It Is” I loved it. And kept rewinding it on RUclips over and over.
can you please water that plant on the shelf, clark. thanks.
Night 2 absolutely clearrreddd Night 1. Jelly Roll was incredible.
Great professional commentary by you👍 and Jelly Roll seemed like one of the best mentors on idol, results wise since everybody he mentored did beautifully. You were right when you said he is the Superstar mentor.
Another great video Clark! My favorites were Odell, Roman, Tristan, Emmy and Mia.
Clark, we didn't notice that about MacKenzie's run at the end lol. It sounded good to us.
He was awesome.
Jack Blocker is the best. He has a band called Rightfield and he has a lot of videos. You guys would not recognize him.
Just checked it out and wow! Such a different vibe
@@petifogger2340 yep but he’s the same guy.
Jelly Roll needs to be a permanent judge. Make it happen! The second night singers were way better than the first night.
Cuz he told them to reach for the stars. And they did.
@@RebRoselandhe helped them connect. Changed the whole vibe
@@joshholmes1372 he did. It was amazing!
Jack Blocker is the best of everyone. Check out his band called Rightfield. He has longer hair and he’s heavier but just as awesome. He does a cover of Billy Eilish’s When the Party’s Over.
No shade intended, but I feel bad for the first group that didn’t get to work with him. He really pulled out the best in everyone. This made me a Jelly Roll fan, and I’d love to see more of him on the show, either as a judge or mentor.
wow Adam Lambert is actually going to be coach on The Voice Australia !
Thank you so much. Love your insights. Greetings from South Africa
I always look forward to your reviews! ❤
Ajii was my fav of the night, he seems like the most versatile and able to switch genres
Thank you Clark for your show. It enhances the Idol
overall experience being so educational in the process. Obliviously Mon. night was far better. They need Jelly Roll back again!! He clearly demonstrates what music is meant to be about. We need connection in our
culture today more than ever.
Thank you Clark for what you are doing. God Bless.
Loved your comments and I agree with everyone having a 'Best performance' with the exception of J.Blocks. But I must admit that it was your Teddy Roosevelt quote that brought me to tears. I was raised on Long Island and visited his home, Sagamore Hill often.
Mia Matthews killed me. Tears.
Thank you, I am enjoying listening to You.
I love the Teddy Roosevelt quote. ❤
Clark thank you for great reviews! I've been watching your videos for few years. I have started watching mainly becouse I was searching someone to review the show and singers, becouse I can not watch the show alive (i'm from Europe), I can just watch the videos from youtube. I wish I could join you at the watch party, but still I'm enjoying videos every time. You give so good comments that also me as not singer can understand it and having fun Keep up the good work and see you in the next video as you say.
Yay, I got to be like number 999 on this post, now I'm going to interpret that as a sign that this will be a great day =D Love your videoes always, they're so insightful and wow, everyone on this episode was so good, as a complete package this episode was much better than last.
Idol is listed as being on Monday for 2 hours. In addition to 3 hours Sunday.
Love the quote !!! Putting things in perspective in our AI age is key!
Jennifer, Emmy and Ajii are the most interesting.
🤣🤣🤣 Oh my Gosh, your plea for the like here 19:33 cracked me up 😂! First thing I do when watching things I already know I like is to hit the like button. I double checked just to make sure anyways; but, yep, had already liked it 😊👍! 'Bout the quote at the end, big truth, thanks for the reminder!
The show was great. Everyone put on a good performance. KBlocks' performance and voice almost seemed like a spoof in this group of performers, but it was still fun. You can argue that several performers were "the best of the night." However, Odell kicked off the night and lit a fire for everyone. Tristan -- 15 -- came on stage after one of the best nights of solid performances in recent Idol memory and calmly stole the show. He is like Iam. Every song he sings causes me to think "how can this voice and performer be real"?
I enjoyed Roman's performance and was impressed with Emmy! Best of the night for me was Mia. My favorite of the season will be Makenna though. Her tone is bar none.
totally agree with you on the regae break by Ajii; up until that point he was wowing me but that pulled me right out of the performance.
Please water your pothos plant and pull off the yellow leaves - it is crying out for some TLC.
My favorite. Gagnon Nya abi Mackenzie Jordan ❤
Kblocks time is up.
There are a lot of very likeable personalities on this season, in addition to their voices and songs.
I agree with you about Jelly Roll!
I questiion if KBlock can hear music well. She always sounds off to me and is throwing a lot of sounds out hoping she lands on the right one.
Triston Harper is my favorite
Review your own Idol performances!
Agree Jelly was sick! On another note, Clarke can you show more of your reactions in real time? Love those
You know how some people have that gift of uplifting and affirming? How they seem to be a signal booster? Like, you get around them and they just increase the good energy and they juice your own signal just enough for you to BELIEVE? To feel that flow running through you? You feel connected and refreshed and full of that warmth and your doubts melt away? I think that’s what Jelly Roll is. I think he came in there with one intention and one intention only which was to hold that space for these young artists to connect with their instrument and with their hearts and then welcome the audience into that experience with them. Does that make sense?
Agreed…he was that for everyone and it was beautiful to see ❤
I think we are going to have another guy winner this season and my guess it will be Triston or Will 😔. I was hoping for a female winner but I don’t think it’s going to happen
Who’s your favorite female?
Jayna
I think you are correct and it has nothing to do with my opinion of the singing and everything to do with predicting what America is going to do.
@@lorenzaparente8702Abi
Tristan is the best!
KBlocks was Terrible......!
Jelly Roll is a super mentor, very involved and genuinely interested in their best performance. He knows what are the strengths and weaknesses of each contestant and inspired them to give the best performances. The other half of the contestants didn’t connect like these contestants did and I felt Tori very disengaged and a bit cold. Maybe this is the reason the second group performed so much better? I love Tori’s singing though
I think Jelly roll would be a great judge
Anjii was my favorite.
I still miss Ziggy. His style, dramatic flair, and piercing tone on high notes create the moments that these talent shows thrive on....and they cut him! There are so many singers still here who don't/can't produce "wow" TV moments. That's not to say they aren't incredibly talented, they just aren't memorable Idol contestants.
Here’s an idea.. do a duet with Belle Taylor Smith of The voice ( AUS ) fame.
Astounding voice and she’s on..
You guessed it.. 79k subs too!
Blast you both past the 80k mark
Goodbye Kblock!
Updated Top 14 Predictions:
Abi Carter
Emmy Russell
Jack Blocker
Julia Gagnon
Kaibrienne Richins
McKenna Brienholt
Mia Matthews
Samuel “Kayko” Kelly-Cohen
Will Moesley
Triston Harper
Wild Cards:
Ajii Hafeez
Jennifer Jeffries
Nya Muchai-Kinya
Odell Bunton Jr.
The first 10 are just the people I believe have the most fans and/or are the ones most capable of pulling out the smashing performances…
The wildcards were hard to choose, it could very well depend on what happens on the night, but I definitely think Jennifer is one of them since there’s really nothing like that…but probably Odell as well because he is a platinum ticket winner, the other two is up for grabs…but I really wished they would do a Top 12 instead of Top 14…
Nya is top 10 😊
What about Roman?
No African American?
This is only the 2nd time hearing Elleigh. She wasn't on the arena show or the showstopper
Triston was the best.
❤❤❤
Odell, Roman or Quintavious??
Tristan could leave and get signed right now.
Jayna is excellent
I'll be so pissed if they cut Jennifer jefferies in this round. People don't see it, but her song writing and vibe is amazing. Her voice technique maybe not so much but her one in a million tone makes up for it. She's like bob Dylan mixed with Oliver Anthony........and...and herself. ❤
I just can’t stand the way she sings. Seems sweet as a person but man that voice makes me cover my ears anytime I hear it. Also idk if Oliver Anthony is someone anyone should be wanting to sound or be like lol
I wouldn't be surprised if Mia & Triston were in the Finale.
Please mention the name of the songs they sing. Thanks.
Night 1 elimination prediction: Hailey Mia & Jordan Anthony
Who I would eliminate: Blake Proehl & Jordan Anthony.
Possibly eliminated: Nya.
Someone everyone loves that I just dont get: Abi Carter
Overrated: Will Moseley
Night 2 EP:
K. Blocks and Elleigh Marie
Who i would eliminate: K. Blocks & Mackenzie Sol
Possibly eliminated: Kennedy Reid
Someone everyone seems to love that I just don't get: Kayko
Overrated: Jennifer Jefferies.
You are crazy for wanting to eliminate Mackenzie! He was the best of the night imo
I think Roman might be in more danger than Jennifer… Performances aside, I think he doesn’t have enough fans/voters😢
This channel is as interesting as listening to water dripping off of my faucet, or looking a dead fish lying on the floor
Why are you here 😂
I like the man in the arena bit, but they do keep score there. Someone wins this thing. You didn't make any predictions about who would go through..
How about you do the Voice too 😀
I thought this was Tristan’s worst song so far but he’s definitely going far
A lot of Mexican Spanish music feature accordians a lot. Not a fan of the sound.
159👍 Hit that👍👍👍👍👍
don't dance if you not love it .. tho ..^^ but you could try lol
ODELL AND AJJI WAS GOOD , JENNIFER VOICE IS AN ORIGINAL DISTINCT SOUND , KENNEDY LOOKS 40 YRS OLD . JACK AND ROMAN GOOD . KBLOCKS STYLIST SHOPS AT GOODWILL . TIRED OF ALL THE SOB STORIES , I REALLY DONT CARE TO HEAR IT. BACKGROUND SINGERS WERE AGAIN TO LOUD MANY TIMES . YOU , ADAM LAMBERT AND CRYSTAL BOWERSOX ARE STILL IMO THE REAL WINNERS OF YOUR SEASONS !
Stop with the “runs”. Sing the song. Feel the song, stop with the freaking vocal gymnastics.
Not a jennifer Jeffries fan. She doesn’t hit her notes and has a whine I’m not a fan of. I’m not sure what everyone is hearing!?
Tone, rasp, kinda a 100% true deep south country vibe, amaaaazing song writing in little ways that most don't realize. Vocal technique wise she needs to grow some on her control, pitch and maybe dynamics but she will probably be one of the few who will actually go far with their music, I'd wager. I don't even like country and I'd buy her record.
Roman and Triston were great. Most of the others are boring to me. I wish Ziggy was still there.
Not a kenedy fan I honestly feel like she’s super annoying
we read all these comments… she radiates positivity and selflessness. I hope she can prove you wrong.
@@redneckkardash sorry, no. She radiates being annoying. She needs to go home.
