The instructions that come with my Bella Rotating waffle maker says Do Not use non stick sprays as they can cause build-up on the cooking plates.” But to “use pastry brush to lightly coat the top and bottom cooking plates with liquid vegetable oil.”
Thank you so much for the instructions! Only thing is I most likely will use the dark setting because your waffle was very light and non crispy. I just bought this and will give you a try. Thanks again.
Mine took 10 maybe 15 minutes to make one waffle. It was too long for me. I pulle out my old professional waffle maker and I did 6 in 15 minutes. I'll give it another try before sending it back.
That particular waffle did not appear to done cooking. My guess is the batter was too thick for the built-in "timer". I bet if the waffle batter was too thin they would be dry and brittle. Looks like it may be a decent waffle maker. Will take me a few tries to get the batter consistency right. BTW, Walmart inducted me into product trial program. Can't wait to start doing reviews.
Just an FYI: If you have celiac disease and *have* to do gluten free, you need to dedicate the waffle maker to only GF. Anything that also touches gluten (regular waffles) will cross contaminate your GF food.
Thanks for your question. While the plates cannot be removed to be cleaned, it can be wiped down easily with a clean, damp cloth. From experience, it's best to use a cooking spray to ensure batter doesn't stick so that clean up is easier. In the event that a cooking spray is not used, the batter will typically only stick if the waffle is not fully cooked, so in that event, close the top and let it finish cooking so that it can be removed more easily from the plates. The audio is bad. We can’t see the amount of batter you poured, the settings and the color of the resulting waffle. Lighting could be better too. Good luck!
Since the Bella Rotating Waffle Maker is non-stick you technically don't need to add anything to the plates. And if the waffle is cooked properly and completely, then it shouldn't stick. But with that said, I prefer to use a butter spray or non-stick spray anyhow- plus, a little extra butter is my preference for yummy waffles. Enjoy!
I'll bet it's not a Belgian waffle batter. True Belgian waffles are made with yeast. They come out nice & crisp with deep pockets to hold the butter & syrup. 😉

just watched your video today 18 Oct 19. I am in process of buying a waffle maker. Thank you for your review. You helped me narrow down my choices
How do you clean this thing ?
Thank you for sharing your experience
The owners manual says NOT to use cooking spray because it makes things stick! I use coconut oil
Do you need to grease it?

Helpful, thank you!
Thank you so much
In the instruction manual it says don't use cooking spray. It wears out the plates.🤔
Spiritisalive1 that’s because the waffle maker industry wants the plates to wear off faster so you buy more waffle makers....it’s a conspiracy. 🤫
@@mikeg2504This is what I was looking for 👍🏿

How do you clean this thing ?
I tried removing the screws but the non stick plate is attached to wires
Just crank it all the way up and wait till the smoke detectors go off and you're done.

Does oil need to be added before putting the batter in?

The DEEP breathing
Donde puedo comprar direccion
Who's breathing so heavily at 0:15?
I can't get mine open?
Same
Do you have it flipped to the correct side? One side opens (the side with the dial), the other does not.
Me too
great video!
Waffle is SAGGY.... I don't like it.
It's because the batter is heavy.

If you got a clip on mic you wouldn't sound like you're echoing in a tunnel.
That waffle looked like shit!
