Rocky Maivia as a babyface was hated by fans. When Rocky Maivia turned into The Rock, it saved his career. Roman as a heel can do the same.

I think it’s brilliant. I WANT to see Smackdown on Friday to see this new direction for Roman. I’m excited to see what they do and I would adore to see Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman vs Danial Bryan. Maybe at Fastlane 2021 (5 years since Bryan retired) or maybe at WrestleMaina.
Roman being the Top Heel is something that has been long overdue,and it will only make him that much more popular once he turns back babyface. The only problem I see right now is there are no Top Babyface Challengers in the Main Event scene for him on Smackdown. Big E just started his singles push and you don't want to thrust him into the title picture too soon. Though I don't care to see this match at all, I can honestly see Otis coming out on Smackdown this Friday interrupting a Reigns/Heyman promo and challenging him to a match at Night of Champions
A more recent example of bad timing would be Braun. They waited way too long to put the belt on him and it felt kinda lackluster when it finally did happen rather than striking when the iron was white hot.
I may not be following wrestling as much as use to but thank god WWE is going in a somewhat new direction with Roman's character, he really needs it.

majority of wwe fans tired of Goldberg if roman would have shown up and won it would of went over well for roman Romans last run he was actually well received.
I like the Reigns and Lesnar tag team. It would be a better SCSA/HHH heel tag team.
We viewers still deserve for wrestlers to win matches without using the roll-up pin every week.

Yes but we have not seen what the heel roman can do with a singles run and not paired up with the shield.. And possibly build a stable with his cousin jay and Uso.. Amongst other great things I think creative can go in a whole new direction

Roman reigns should have been heel after wrestlemania 33 against the undertaker, the raw after mania that year was tremendous, and he was booed into outer space, he carried himself and sounded like a prick heel. They just didn't follow through with it sadly. I'm interested now

He's not fit to be a face, just like Rollins is not fit to be a face either. Only Ambrose could pull off both roles.

I really don't care, in my opinion is will always be mid card champion level. And needs to go back to performance center for mic skills improvement.
