    Still fascinating. I couldn't afford the $0.50 cents or so to buy one so I made one using a wooden clothes pin. Just a plain old clothes pin that mom used to hang clothes on the line . Got a really old all wood clothes pin and sawed off half of one leg to make the hook added a belt and there it was my very own homemade skyhook. Not as pretty as store bought but worked just as well.
