This brickfilm was directed, written, and scored by Robert Sturdevant, founder of the channel The Action Brick. It was shot using an app called Stop Motion Studio Pro (on iPad) and edited with Motion and iMovie (software for Mac).

It's pure nostalgia I haven't watch this for years,I remember buying Minecraft Lego sets because am inspired by this dude's stop motion,all of this guy's work are pure gold...
This is one of the closest things we will ever get to a minecraft movie, and I cannot wait for the sequel
There's a Minecraft movie coming out in 2022, same with a Super Mario Bros. movie.
UPDATE Sept. 2022: Both movies are being delayed, and SMB will be in April 2023. I'm not sure about the Minecraft one yet...

Listen, all those people who disliked:
Did you know that even just one second of this animation takes approximately 24 pictures? Considering this video is 27:48 minutes long, that means there were 40032 pictures taken to make this video. Even if there were just 12 pictures taken a second, it is a huge amount of 20016 pictures. Even with just 6 pictures a second, it makes 10008 pictures. And since I have done some lego Minecraft animations when I was little, I understand all this hard work, and there are some pictures to take that aren't that easy to pull of... Sometimes he had to split a background just to place the camera (iPad, tablet) just to take the right picture. Then he had to put the background back together. And that is just the part of taking the pictures. There are all the characters, objects, backgrounds (which are reaaaaaaaally hard to create) and of course, all of the legos. All of that, already, costs a lot (is VERY expensive), and the way the whole thing was put together was just amazing. It really gave you the impression of it being a real adventure, that the whole world was one, not multiple pieces of a world. Indescribable. Then there were all the sound effects, and a very important part: The script. It gave tons of different feelings, and was very cleverly written, sometimes funny. Then he also had to sacrifice some items, like in the fight between the king, and the villager. He had to cut a sword in half for when the king he got killed by Steve (24:56). And think about it, The Action Brick had to speak for almost a half hour, with no mistakes, and the right tone of voice, different voices, and much much more. As I said, I did a lot of these when I was little, with my brother, but now everything is gone, (don't ask why) and this movie really brought back some good memories from when I was little. So if you are reading this and you disliked, please just take off the dislike of all the hard work of The Action Brick, and if possible, like this video and even subscribe. That is how much work he had put into this video. Anyways, I liked and subscribed. I mean seriously.

The animation and voice acting are both REALLY good! The dialogue itself is a little bit cheesy but its hardly noticeable since the over all pacing and story are really good.
