This song holds a great memory for me. The first time i heard it was my first ever background job on the show The Get Down. It was a club scene and we all had to dance to this song. I had so much fun dancing to it I forget we were filming until they would say “CUT!” 😅
Thanks for posting this forgotten dance classic. Probably best known for being the very first tune spun at the opening of studio 54, by DJ Richie Kaczor .........
Peter Blackman Bravo you're absolutely right, was there a couple of weeks after opening. Richie was extremely talented. I was the DJ at The Plum in Washington DC at the time. Great era unfortunately never to return.

Used to dance to this at Oddessy 2000 in downtown San Jose California.....i bought this album and brought it to Las Cruces New Mexico and it blew up at the discos there....and El Paso Texas and Cuidad Juarez Mexico.....it was 1977
Entire disco funk opera, so many hooks. Great disco masterpiece. Tight lyrics, fee-fii taken from a children' s tale. Song for adults. Tale of woe by the devil's gun. Very danceable & so memorable. Club fave. Sense of mystery. Superfab disco mix by Moulton for 1977. Thanks, CJ & crew. Great effort. Vive les disco freaks ....
I remember one night in Boston in the 70s at a dance club Whimsey's, when this song came on you couldn't get on the dance floor fast enough...500 people(huge dance floor) also 19 Landsdowne Street had the best sound system on the east coast behind Fenway.
If you can't "hustle" to this song, then you couldn't from the beginning. This song will "ware you the heck out" on the dance floor. But you can't stop because you are too busy "spinning" will all those arm turns. Music of today, like MC Hammer" says; "Can't Touch This"!!!!!! Clubs need to get back to this stuff if they want them packed!!!!!!!
I'm afraid youngsters these days don't know how to dance. You can play this or other dance music & they just bounce & point with their phone in their hand. Very sad. We were there - right ?
This was the best song ever! Haven't heard it since I was a teenager! I also what happened to this song. I was called the Disco lady all my youth! Couldn't get enough of it!
