Penguins' Sidney Crosby looks back on 2010s, how he evolved | NBC Sports
/ nbcsports "
Greatest player of our time, possibly of all time. I still think he is the best in the world. It will be a sad day when he and Ovechkin decide to retire
Not all time dude. He the greatest player in this era. You must not know who Orr, Gretzky, Lemieux, Howe or Beliveau are
Ambrielle Mason all of those dudes were plumbers compared to crosby
Ambrielle Mason Trust me I do. I said ”possibly” of all time. Crosby is at least top 10 easily.
Hockeyfan lmao top 10? More like top 2 guarenteed 😂
Ambrielle Mason Crosby is easily top 3 when he retires
Crosby is a very interesting guy these questions are terrible and he’s still able to make the interview interesting
No way! He sounds generic to me. I'm a Crosby lover but I watch his hockey not his interviews...they make me snooze
@@cameryne2352 I thought his interview on spittin chiclets was pretty good actually
@@Dennis-66 Need to check it out
@@Dennis-66 Biz and Whit are the best at just sort of keeping these players in their comfort zones and getting very natural feeling interviews/conversations out of them. It feels less like an interview and more like just a group of guys hangin out and talkin
@@cameryne2352 i mean its usually the same question over and over.
I think he's a really nice and honest person, he is not like a cocky idiot, and I respect him for that, well done man I've always liked, the way you do things .👍
pretty much every NHL player is like that, not that special
Everyone loves to point to his antics when he entered the league up to his first five years as evidence of him being a cheap player who dives but will completely ignore the past five years when he's had virtually nothing in that department and has quietly played at a spectacular level, making everyone around him better, like Jake Guentzel. If any of them had the athletic prowess Sid had at the age of 17, they probably wouldn't be perfect either and would have maturing to do. When it comes down to it, Sid is one of the most humble yet dominant guys in the league and should be remembered as the best player in this era.
Interviewer sounds like a bummer therapist. Jesus.
Why’d NBC’s audio make him sound like a chain smoker?
Glad I’m not the only one who picked this up
Or.. maybe he was sick?
I guess the thing about Crosby, being so good, is that he is actually a robot.
Get that man a drink lol
Maybe he is? LOL
Terrible questions...
Yeah, they had him for 20 minutes why not ask more original questions? We've heard all of this before...
Ophélie it’s NBC, they’re never original lol
The guy is 14 days older than me. I don’t feel old. I’m in the prime of my life. Better than ever. I’m sure this guy still has plenty in the tank. I’m usually a hater but I’m sure he’s not done in his hall of fame career. Perhaps another Cup with another Conn Smyte.
I thought that was a silly question
As a penguins and Evgeni Malkin fan, I'd prefer geno win the Conn Smythe, should we win again. With how closely they perform in the playoffs and in general, I think it would be more fitting if they each had 2, rather than Crosby 3, Malkin 1. Malkin is pretty underrated, and I think it would help his cause. (They didn't even have him in the top 100)
The real "Great One"
Goodness, this man is stunning.
Those navy blue classic jerseys were bad luck for Crosby... Concussion, broken jaw
That, ladies and gentlemen, is the best hockey player in the world. I tend to have to pinch myself sometimes for the fact that I was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh.
the first two questions had me GAGGING 😭😭😩😩😩😩 i thought this was FAKE what the ffffck !??!
For real. Imagine ever asking someone "When did you start to feel old?" Crosby handled that a lot better than I would.
What a stupid question "when did you realize you were old?" who writes these interview questions?
I appreciate how Sid shuns the personal accolades and deflects back to teamwork. Sure, he knows he’s earned the personal awards, but as a true leader, the team is his first consideration.
I really hope you win another cup crosby I watched you when you played for rimousky I I knew you where gonna have a great career your awesome to watch hope you have a blessed year.
I hate the penguins but as a fan of the game I cannot deny Sid's greatness.
If I had to pick one guy in a clutch moment it would still be him.
This guy is easily top 4 player ever in the NHL. Every great player in every era of the game of hockey has had to be able to change and adapt, and the best players were able to understand and implement this. Crosby is a player that is ever evolving to the environment of the game. He is a great player and his ability to create and make his team better around him. It will be a sad day to watch him retire, but one that will be celebrated.
Is this interviewer trying to be a psychiatrist? I hate HOW he asks questions...
Dumb questions , why didn't you ask him what he ate for breakfast ?
Crosby epitomizes the humility you’d like to see in all elite, professional athletes.
Do you think they tried to get the absolute worst interviewer possible? What generic, awful, trash questions. Not to be critical... lol.
The interviewer makes it hard to enjoy life
Michael Farber needs to go .... guys a weirdo. Just talk normal for christ sakes
When did he start to feel old? He's not old by any means yet😂
People say that Crosby sucks but to be honest the players are just jealous he's so good.
Shows highlight of Sid putting the d man in the spin cycle with that self pass off the cage and then thows some sauce to the doorstep, and this guy asks legacy and how he's getting old. Lol. 32 is prime hockey age.
“It’s not like I was exactly cheering for [the capitals]” always a rival.
He says "I think" and "you know" a lot but still it doesn't bother me.
That golden goal call is so bad compared to cbc's..
Mike Lange is the best. Hall of Famer.
The new GOAT
The interviewer's tone is so heavy. Sounds disinterested and almost sleepy.
Legend. So grateful to watch his career.
🏒
The questions were really generic but Sid found a way to make it interesting
He seems like an ok down to earth guy, alongside with being an amazing player... Can somebody explain why so many people dislike him? I don't get it.
derkuis097 cause hes good and not on their team
Because he was a entitled prima donna during games when he was younger
MetalMk68 Nah, check the comment above yours.
He was a little over-exposed by the Canadian hockey media because they needed an "It Guy" coming out of the '05 lock-out. It gave him the sense of entitlement. He finally turned the corner once he saw Toews and Kane win their third Stanley Cup.
yunggunner because in 2006 Hatcher took out his teeth with a high stick and it went uncalled, so he wasn’t too happy. Philly along with other failing franchises and fanbases took that and turned it into “crybaby Crosby”. He’s more successful than entire organizations so people are going to be jealous.
Beautiful interview hes very humble
Should get Whit and Biz to interview people or anyone else really
Lol when he asked sid if he wished Ovechkin didn't win a cup in 2018. Wtf
what odd questions
Really have come around over the last few years to be a huge fan of SC. Genuine person, well spoken and a great temperament. Seems like a great guy to be around.
“High end faceoff guy” this interviewer is a joke. Lmao
he's one of the best in the game at draws
Him and Ovi were fucking beasts in 2009 season 💪
Poor Sid, looks like they scheduled this at 6am after a late night game. Love his humility and willingness to sit through these questions.
Stanley cup #4 is in the works! Go Pens!
I hope so!
he has lived up to the name "The Next One"
Crosby will be a top 5 player by his retirement
Absolute G.O.A.T.!
Class act for sure.
Making all this money.. yet wont buy chapstick
“When did you start feeling old” brutal question
Sidney "you know" Crosby 🔥
These are terrible questions 😂
I’m gonna get him some chapstick
That ottawa series was the best series id ever seen in my life
he’s so well spoken
Ask better questions NBC! He's a modest guy don't ask about his 'legacy'.
Wow. Fire the interviewer.
💕 him so much
Can I just look at him in person real quick.....Thaxx.
At 5:23 he sounds like a robot
Audio is so low. Hard to hear.
Change the volume then. Or find a quieter place.
These questions are horrible, sounds like a therapist session!
"When did you start feeling old?" 😕
I wonder if he'll marry and have children.
This interviewer is terrible.
People say Crosby's a cry baby, I just say that he's crying so hard because the other players are so bad.
He being a crybaby was only made famous and present vs the Flyers his first year or 2, especially the game that resulted in his broken teeth by a pisspoor officiated game overall. Other than that, he quite literally has never griped or moaned any less or any more than any player. They all have issues with calls and plays and give opponents and refs and earfull. Really don't know why people still hold onto those chirps 'crybaby sid' 'cindy crosby' besides envy.
Hello Sidney Love April R Jackson
Still doing good things in the lovers place
When will he retire?
Why he sound robotic
*you know* ...
He looks tiered 😕
🐐
fire the interviewer
I KNOW RIGHT
Hockey is a violent sport
Not anymore
And it’s glorious
Crosby 2 Conn Smythe are a stretch.
what????
@@Regalman He didn't really deserve them.
Malkin and Kessel
stéphane A your comment is an extreme reach.
stéphane A they don’t ask how they ask how many
But, you changed the game Sid, according to your book ??? Lol
prat
He never wrote a book
LOL why don't you better ask the journalist who wrote it? or the analysts who back it up?
He should write a book thou
He didn’t write a book, and he did change the game !
