What setting are you using on the ginder I ahve the Izpresso J ultra I did a 1.5 and 1.8 grind and it really does not work well what would you recommend
Got this for fathers day. Love it. Typcally have a nice espresso machine but absolutely love this for when I am on the move. So many coffee stands are just not worth the price in Washington state. Very happy
I love your way to explain and shed the light on all corners of the device, many thanks i enjoyed it. and by the way i already have the device it's amazing.
Anyone know about the long term charging on this? I've had 2 x the Anaconda CF-1801BGC Espresso Machine. Both returned due to battery failing after a few months. When I took it back I was told this is happening a lot. In fact I met another person returning it for that same reason. Anyway, apart from the battery issue I loved the coffee maker. This one looks exactly the same, but I'm wondering whether this producer, Outin, has maybe put in a better battery??
Congratulations on the video. It was the only one I saw showing that when cleaning you must be a little careful not to get dirty and a spatula is advisable.
One question I lacing I've found so far in various reviews for teh Outin. Can you press the button, with the cup on sitting down. "set and leave" style? i.e. at work can i fill it up. press the heat and go button and leave it sitting in its own cup while I go through my morning work? Can't quite tell if the depth is enough.. but it would be nice to set and forget and come bak to it.
Sweet... now just to save up. I was pondering aero press, or french press, etc for work... I got a switch for home but not realy good for work or esspresso.. Time to budget and save up for this one@@AlternativeBrewing
I hope you got it by now, and in the future, just use a pay in 4 interest free installments with Klarna or after pay or any other company that offers that service. You can get whatever you want without having all the funds right away
I’been trying with my hibrew h4a with ‘moka grind’ and it didn’t worked :( It tastes bitter. I read that it is calles over-grounded. So I will try with a bigger grind, not fine. But if there’s anyone who can tell us, I’ll appreciate it!
Good video. I don't know a lot about this, so hopefully this won't be a dumb question. So I'm getting one shot of espresso with this. If I had a way to steam my milk, would I be able to make a latte by adding the frothed steamed milk to this? Or would I need two of these cups? Thanks
One Espresso would be fine. It's just important to note how much milk you'll add to the espresso. Naturally, the more milk you add - the more milky the coffee will be - the less milk - the more coffee flavoured it will remain. This goes for all espresso 🫶 no dumb questions ! thanks for watching too
Both the basket it comes with and the pro basket has a pressurised area under it that is not accessible for cleaning. Is it worth running hot water through the machine without coffee after each use (if indoors) or is simply soaking it every so often going to be sufficient. Using it daily and concerned about crud build up . Havent used pressurised baskets before so not sure how you normally deal with this
Going camping without having to light any kind of Fire. Having a little camper trailer and not wanting to add heat and humidity inside but still have coffee. Car camping where you just want to take the least possible equipment and you don't intend to really cook much because you're eating cold foods. You can even heat water up in this to make some ramen noodles.
No not at all! And if it's screwed down nice and tight - it sounds like a sealing issue. Better request assistance from customer service for warranty issue perhaps?
Does the Outin heat using a predetermined time or does it have a temperature gauge? I would hope it could do a shorter heating cycle if using hot/warm water from a travel thermos and therefore use up less of the battery.
They advertise 12/24v charging. What do they mean by that? Any USB device can be charged with a 12V to usb plug. Its not a feature from the machine itself Am I missing sth?
I wonder how this would compare to the new brevoy portable expresso maker i've seen on Kickstarter. 🤔 It looks like the same formula but different companies.
correct. Yield is the product you create - so a 4x strength espresso. I know what you're thinking 😂 Nespresso gets away with this millions of times over a day... so it's not a 1/2 ratio espresso - nor tastes like one - but it still packs a punch considering 8g were used. @@craigholden3547
Yeah the low dose does limit you. Higher dose would also require a better pressure system that I fear may not work well under battery operated conditions - need better batteries 👌
it depends on the grind. Too coarse or fine and yes - water will remain in the puck. Getting the right grind size means the water will be able to pass through evenly and fully without too much retention. Or yet - if the coffee tastes good - don't change a thing
It’s really not - but you’re right in saying that the ratios are of for a traditional espresso. However the coffee, as mentioned- isn’t bad - for what you’re getting- keeping in context- this would be well removed from the capacity to easily heat your own water, pack for more gear, or perhaps manually pumping isn’t for you. It’s not that it’s the best portable espresso maker, based off of the quality of the coffee produced - for me, that’s the picopresso- but the Outin does offer some good features that are not readily available in a brewer rn
@@AlternativeBrewing I bought my Outin right with the nano basket. What a lifechanging moment. I went from zero coffee to full coffee mania, lol! My actual setup is white Nano with da Basket, Porlex mini, a scale, 100ml beaker, fancy tissues, some degradable cups, three types of coffee and some Kitkats, Reesee's and Lotus. Everything packed into an Ozuko Fournier 9l messenger bag with two water bottles and a powerbank.
Dude, espresso is mostly 1:2 ratio i think You know this. So for 8 grams of beans we should get 16 grams (16 ml of the brew). Here we get like 50 ml from 8 g - is just brown water for espresso nerds
You can’t just convert grams (weight) to ml (volume) using the equivalent value of 16. Those are 2 completely different things. Most single gram espresso shots (7g) will produce roughly 30 ml of liquid. A double shot produces closer to 60ml of liquid.
@@DomZ83 yes when dealing with the density of water, but obviously not for all substances. So in this example, I would agree that my statement is wrong. Still though, just because you use 8 grams of beans does not mean it is going to yield 16 ml of liquid. It just depends on the amount of water you are using. If 50 ml is considered “brown water”, then just scale back the input of water for a more concentrated espresso.
Best demo of the Outin Nano I’ve seen so far! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So it's like a Nanopresso that gets rid of the issue of hot water :o That is actually really neat 👌Thanks for sharing :))

yes - just press the button to stop 👌

I have had exactly the same issue. After less than a year, and few cycles of recharging, the battery died and the machine now is useless...

Yes, that's correct. It does heat using a heat gauge to 93-95ºc, so with using Hot water - it'll heat much much quicker - using less battery 👌

Always go boiling if you can 👍 heat loss will happen and then it’ll be at the ideal temperature 🙏
Not an original Nespresso cup, my expirience is that the crema with imitation is less. On a normal machine.
