    Definitely, it's NOT disrespectful, there isn't any rule broken, and it is actually riskier for the receiver.

      +Ignacio Morales not that I disagree, but firing a shot into a player isnt against the rules either

      +Ignacio Morales Becker needs to shut the fuck up. If Djokovic's ball bouncing and Nadal's time outs aren't disrespectful, Federer's SABR sure as hell ain't.

      +Benfo the 2nd serves are very poor in this era imo. In the 80s are full of serve specialists + underarm serving which can counter this tactic, u can't compare really. Federer exploit today easily. So what his opponent put the 2nd serve on his body, he still will cause damage with the SABR tilting his racket to return.

      +Benfo wtf are you talking about, plenty of people would not even hesitate with hitting the ball hard at fed if they thought that would be the best oppertunity to get a point. But if you acctualy try to hit him with your second serve while he is performing SABR then you are fucking stupid and the pros knows this as well. NR1 reason is that to hit him you need to hit out of the serve box and that would end in a double fault because he only does it on second serve and he can easily dodge the serve. Its not that hard to side step.Reason NR2 is that pro players dont give a fuck about booing, as for the crowd, they wont boo someone when hitting a person at the net with a ball. Becaues its a part of the game. Fed has been hit many times and the ones that hit have never been booed. Reason NR3 it is in no way disrespectfull. He is simply taking advantage of him being able to pick up the serves and messing with the oponents head. also while getting to the net. You better learn alittle bit about tennis before u comment stupid shit.

      Yeah, and serving under arm is not against the rules, and why the fuck there is nobody using that serve????
      Federer thought that he was very smart with his SABR, and actually that was an act of a desperate man, an act of a Frauderer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Roger did ask Djokovic whether he was alright as 3 DFs from a pro is schoolboy mistake.
    Djokovic gave thumbs up.

    Nice invention from Fed. This can shorten the points and disrupt the opponent. Sometimes they tried to target him with mixed results. Djokovic anticipated better in USO final but you can see he's not comfortable with all the rushing and guessing. It's still early use, but this can be more and more useful for his game.

    I saw many people saying this return is disrespectful.
    Can any of you explain me HOW?

  • @ignmorales
    @ignmorales 8 лет назад +1

    I still don't see a real argument by anyone. It's a strategy to return a serve as quick as possible, carrying so much risk. This is the reason anyone else does it.

    So according to Boris Becker, I suppose Novak did the respectful thing by double faulting.

      +boo Jay Nova: "That new tactic was so good.. Im just going to DF my way through." Crowd: WTF!. On a side note, there is no such thing as a disrespectful shot. A disrespectful shot is a strong skilled shot after the service. It does not have to demand respect, just illustrates the level of skill that the player has.

    • @LattiMonstaaa
      @LattiMonstaaa 8 лет назад

      +Benfo Im sorry but thats utter bullshit. The crowds would boo almost anyone who hits his opponent on purpose, look at when Sharapova did it to Williams.

    • @keithong9595
      @keithong9595 8 лет назад

      Ezio Lomadada Disrespecting the opponent is one thing, but a disrespecting shot as in hitting them on purpose is another. A disrespectful shot that is a skilled shot that should not even have happened is on a different level altogether

    Didn't help him when he lost 2 Slam Finals that year to him did it?

  • @sandysunrise9618
    @sandysunrise9618 8 лет назад +2

    IMO, he's rushing net on every short ball & taking balls in the air ... corner to corner, serve & volley. I believe Roger strongly started this tactic after watching how badly Dustin Brown beat Nadal (which Fed was never able to do) ... and acquired that same style permanently. Hasn't lost a set yet. Novak, please study Brown's play & see how Fed has changed similarly ... it's working for him big time!!! You will lose if you stay "power-hitting" from baseline. Adjust & win USOpen 2015!!!!!!

      +hartay mujeeco Federer is 34 years old and world #2, that's 6 years older than the average player in the top 20. Novak couldn't dream to ever win as many slams as Roger or be as creative.

      we will see all he has to do is win 2 slams a year for the next 4 years, who is gonna stop him. He will break all of feds records he is the better player the better athlete and mentally stronger than fed ever was

      +FortranFour Norman Agree ... it's his "new" tactic from, IMO, Dustin Brown. (check it out for yourself). No more power hitting from baseline ... perfect for a 34yo player, and it's working for him. Novak has to change too, in order to win any more matches. Not a Fed fan anymore, but that was a clever "winning tactic" ... C'mon Nole ... get the WIN!!!!

      If something is within the rules, it does not mean that it's not disrespectful. If you smash your ball on purpose straight at your opponent when the opponent is close, I would call that disrespectful even though it's within the rules.
      But still I wouldn't call SABR disrespectful at all

      Novak's coach used to move all around during hus opponents serve and would often times take a couple steps in and crush second serves. Fed us simply using tactics from the old days when the game was more about skill and strategy and less sheer physical conditioning and topspin like it is today
