- Reality show Airline first appeared on our screens in 1998, following the ground staff, crew and passengers at the UK’s busiest airports. 25 years later, it’s having a resurgence as clips of no-nonsense star of the show Jane Boulton have gone viral online, with people calling her a ‘British Icon’! Jane worked on the Easyjet Check-In desk and wasn’t afraid to put troublesome passengers in their place. Today Jane joins us in the studio to look back at some of her most memorable and funniest moments on the show - which have gained 25 million views on TikTok!

There is a reason why she went viral, it’s simply because she did her job and dealt with situations in the most iconic way. People realised her and noticed how she did her job to the very best and couldn’t have done it any better❤

There’s something comforting about seeing Jane again, it’s probably a lot down to nostalgia, I still enjoy watching the old Airline episodes. But she also has always seemed like a nice person that you’d want on your side. Good to luck to her and hope she’s enjoying her TikTok era!

@Mark-lj1dj the passengers didn't like the tongue lashing that Jane gave them for being late for the flight. (Which is the passengers fault NOT the airline staff)
I totally disagree. Leo was the real seed and was actually nice and much more deserving of attention.
Younger people may not realise, but when airing, it was amazing and refreshing to see Jane. Today of course misogyny is very much alive and women staff are still held to higher (often impossible) standards and disrespected. But back then it was much worse and blatant. We watched as she not only did her job, but often went above and beyond. When customers were unbelievably rude to her, she remained steadfast and professional. A deserved icon.
I love Jane. She made the show entertaining and did an amazing job with easyjet. 👏 I still watch the show in 2024.

I thought Jane was lying/joking when she said she was 29 on Airline, because she looked so much older. Apparently not. 😅

I worked at Glasgow Airport when Jane worked there, she is a genuine lovely person, good to see her again.
If I passed her in the street I wouldnt recognise her but as soon as she spoke i instantly recognised the voice,

I've just recently come across this show by accident and now I've been binge watching it. I've also been wondering what most of them are up to these days especially Jane and Katrina. It's so cool to see Jane! Glad she's doing so well. I was 13 when this show debuted.
I worked at a major airport, you would not credit how many people blame the ground staff when they are late for their flight and their ticket is given to another passenger. It ain’t rocket science you have to check in on time and be at the gate when it’s time to board. It is not the check in staffs job to hold your hand and get you on board you have to be aware of the many flight information screens. Sitting in the bar and being late for the flight is not the fault of the check in staff.

Loved watching these. They were going to do a retail one, the film crew came to my place of work, they filmed me going up the walkway, I guess they didn't think there would be enough 'drama' on a daily basis to make it worth while.😂

Some of these passengers are at fault, yet wanted to dump all the responsibilities onto her and Jane wasn't having none of it. Jane is an example of you want respect? Give respect!

Not gonna lie if I worked with Jane I’d feel some comfortable knowing if someone was screaming at me she’d have my back (not many managers/supervisors do that nowadays)

I think its because theres an expectation that the customer is always right, and it kind of feels like she was sticking up for us who worked with customers even though it wasnt the intention, because when something doesnt go their way they can be so rude. We're just doing our jobs 😂

I know it’s just autopilot tv conversation, but when they were taking about the old lady that that missed her flight and Jane took her home giving her a bed for the night, and then Dermot said ‘that’s customer service, that’s going the extra mile!’ in that virtue signalling way gave me the ick. When did being a decent human being turn into corporate duty?

She was my girl crush I wanted to have a personality like Jane's.
If she was rude to customers I didn't see it at all on the TV show. She was a picture of politeness. She could be very funny though when she stated what should have been the obvious but what was not obvious to the passenger. Even then, she did so without a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
