It's more likely that the Brahmin minority narratives about forced conversions are fantasy, for the simple reason that over 70% of Hindus weren't even allowed to enter temples but still had to give forced free labour for the upper castes and money for temples. That would be sufficient motivation for the majority of Goans to leave Hinduism voluntarily for Christianity.
