@Summer Crispino sometimes not everything will be alright. Life gets really hard sometimes, and those times you wonder if this is how it’s gonna be all the time. I know 2020 has been a shit show for everyone. Life is not easy at all sometimes I wanna give up but I know I can’t. Just know in the end everyone has a purpose and you go through these hard time to only make you stronger. I hate living through tough times it hurts me rly bad. I just wish my life could be easy all the time. But we are human and we have emotions. Life will NEVER just be easy, I wish it would and I pray that everyday that goes by is easy. Just know you HAVE A PURPOSE, and even when things get rough know people love and care for you. Know that there are people that love and support you know matter the circumstances don’t ever give up on life.

Yeah... I miss my relationship with my parents. Most of the time they feel nonexistent and I'm taking care of my two siblings. They don't get the love and attention they need either. They are my literal everything... So lately I've been tucking my little 5 year old brother in, and telling him 3 stories! One from UA (He loves My Hero Academia almost as much as I do lol) and two about his guinea pigs as humans. Then I let my 10 year old sister get comfy and I read her a chapter from her new book. I miss the times when our parents felt present... So I'm trying to give them that feeling. I'm not a great big sister. But I'm trying. I just wish my mom and dad would do the same...

As a 14 year old who just started high school, became a sister back in June and lost a dear friend recently to corona this song with the rain brings me back to when I was happy, to when I didn’t have a care in the world, back to when life was simple, back to when people didn’t have to write there problems out to strangers on the internet. Listening to this at 12:00AM feels good, it feels right. Falling asleep to this with my earbuds but makes me feel like I can concur the world lol it makes me feel.... free.... As a human who has been through a lot in my life I can tell you...it WILL get better. If you want a rainbow you gotta put up with the rain.... and hopefully 2021 will give us the rainbow. I’m not diagnosed with anxiety , but I’ve been getting really bad anxiety almost every day since the start of this year, but I’m afraid to tell someone because self diagnosing yourself with a mental illness is becoming like a “trend” so I don’t know how to go about it but I don’t want it to make it seem like I’m self diagnosing myself with anxiety but it’s really messing me up and it gets worse almost every day I also feel like I’m being over dramatic because some of my friends actually have anxiety, depression, PTSD , and OCD and they have their days when it’s so bad so I feel like what I’m going through isn’t valid because they have it so much worse than me so I shut down and keep having massive breakdowns after a couple months or so and I just repeat it. Now I really don’t know how I’m going to tell anyone because I’m starting to get really bad anxiety around everyone. Then I start shaking and getting nauseous and end up running away. Sometimes when this happens I start to cry then get embarrassed , it’s been a little over year since someone has seen me cry. I just turned 15 so I got money for my birthday and I just looked into therapy even though I think therapy is scary I’m paying for it by myself it’s like 15 dollars a month it’s working they are suggesting I might have a severe anxiety disorder and a social anxiety disorder. I still haven’t told anyone about this... when I tried telling my friends about this I felt like I was bothering them and that they hated me and still think that. I just feel like they don’t care about me.. although I love them I stopped considering them as friends just in case they really don’t like me so if they truly don’t it won’t hurt as bad if I learn the truth. I know that probably sounds bad but I just consider them as someone I talk too because I definitely still love and care about all of them I’m just get so nervous and I don’t know how to tell anyone that I know what I’m going through like when I was dropping hints that I wasn’t okay my mom picked up on it but instead of a comforting response she acted like I said something offensive and ever since that day I’ve never told anyone how I truly felt ... because I’m afraid too but this video helps calm me down so I’ll be here a lot of you took the time to read this thank you

This reminds me of when life wasn’t hard. No school, no family problems, just pure happiness every single day. It brings me back to this single moment in my life that kind of feels like it didn’t even happen: my friends and I watching Johnny Test while I got up to get a snack from the cupboard. I remember pausing at the cupboard thinking of how young I was and how old everyone else was and what memories I might make in life but I didn’t know that it would be painful.
Imagine this: your best friend moved away one year ago and for the first time since then you go and see them. Y’all go on a vacation to the Appalachian mountains and you are in a small cabin at the base of the mountain one night where the stars are out and the temperature is perfect. You sneak out at midnight and go the the top of the mountain. At the top you play music and have the time of your life looking at the stars and being with your best friend. After what feels like two hours you look up and see the sun rise over another mountain and you and your best friend walk down back to the cabin to find your best friends mom cooking breakfast and find out that she heard you sneak out but didn’t do anything because she knew that y’all would be fine so you sit down on the porch and watch the sun finish rising in the distance...
im only eleven years old but somehow i feel like i dont have a childhood. i dont know when it stopped, but it all seemed to disappear. i dont have anything left. i dont have a purpose. im just existing. i look forward to the next day, but they just repeat themselves. i go to school, fail all my classes, skip lunch, doze off, and then come back with a headache. there is no more excitement in my life. like yea, i have a few friends here and there, and i love them with all my heart, but everything is the same. i wanna just start over. i want to just be a little girl, and do anything and everything i dream to do. i guess not all wishes come true.

I'm sorry you're going through that. I understand, there have also been plenty of times where I feel like life is just an endless, monotonous cycle. I hope that this last month things have improved for you. Some things you can do is maybe discover new passions, like photography, drawing, journaling, dancing, reading, writing, singing, aesthetics, etc., to spice things up a bit. For me, I often go running or I take walks and look around at the scenery. Maybe you don't live in a really picturesque area, but what you can do and what I like to do is try to find beauty in even the most unexpected places. My advice is rather poor, so I am very sorry that I can't give you anything better. But really, I truly wish the best for you.

Same, I'm around that age as well. I have friends and look forward to school and I'm a new person there. I do good, and am smart but it just feels empty inside. I go home and I get on social media. I want to just listen to music and cry all my sorrows out, but I can't. I have a family of six, and share a room with my older sister. I can tell her about some of my problems, but she just thinks its "little kid drama" (she is six years older than I am). I wanna go back. Back to when no one cared, it was only trying to have fun and grow up. But now that I have grown up, I don't wanna go anymore. Its just stuck in a repeated cycle. And to add on, I know at this young age that I am in the LGBT community. I have only told one person, the only person I can tell everything to, the one person I can cry with. I am the same person to her. I am sorry this is long, I had to vent. Hope you feel better, and I know you're sick of hearing this, but it'll get better.
Remember when we wished we were grown up, so we could do whatever we wanted. We acted older than we were because we thought being grownup was better, but now we miss the memories we didn't have because we make them up to give ourselves closure. We can't remember because most of our childhood was spent mindlessly watching TV. We miss what we didn't have.

You walk over to a bench and to your surprise, you see an old man sitting there. You go to walk past but he stops you. 'What is a young Lady/man/adult doing out here alone?' You feel a bit awkward and wonder why he is bothering to talk to you. 'I know that look,' he says. 'You think I'm off my rocker.' You feel guilty but he says 'I don't blame you. What would a sad old man want from you?' You see that he is holding a photo but don't ask about it. 'Sit down,' he says. 'I want to tell you something very important.' 'Is anything troubling you?' He asks. You hesitate. Wondering if he will judge you. 'Tell me all you want. There is no one to get angry at you here.' You breathe in and tell him about all the problems in your life. 'I want to tell you a story,' he says. 'Once upon a time, there was a man in his mid 20s. He found the love of his life. He knew he had found the right person. They got married 4 years after they met. Sadly, one day the love of his life got sick and died. He was heartbroken. His mother and father were both dead. He was alone. ' You listen as he continues: 'The man developed severe depression and nothing helped him. As he got older, he was like a living ghost. Until he realised how much he had missed. His whole life he had been thinking about all the bad things. He had wanted to die. One day he realised how special he was and that if he had failed at realising , he would make sure others didn't fail.' The man smiles at you, and you smile back. 'Now,' he says. 'Run along, your family will be looking for you.' When you leave, he pulls out the photo he had in his hand again. It was a photo of two men in their late 20s, wearing engagement rings. All i want in this hell of a world is a friends who checks up on me and says "hey are you okay?" not "did you do your homework?". I want a family who is actually nice. A family who doesnt tell me "your not depressed. you dont have anxiety Your only 12" Even after everything i want someone to like me. Not fake, real. I remember driving back and forth from home to the hospital with my mother and her medical aid, the Lumineers' albums always playing. She had ALS for 5 years, and every single day of those 5 years I watched her physical health slowly deteriorate, knowing there was no way to stop it and no chance of her to get better. All of those feelings I dealt with during those times: sadness, frustration, anger, the glimpses of happiness in the car while I sang along with the music, they're hitting me all at once because I misclicked on this video. It's so oddly cathartic. You obviously didn't make this video for me specifically, but thank you nonetheless. 5 stars, would cry again

As a 14 year old who just started high school, became a sister back in June and lost a dear friend recently to corona this song with the rain brings me back to when I was happy, to when I didn’t have a care in the world, back to when life was simple, back to when people didn’t have to write there problems out to strangers on the internet. Listening to this at 12:00AM feels good, it feels right. Falling asleep to this with my earbuds but makes me feel like I can concur the world lol it makes me feel.... free.... As a human who has been through a lot in my life I can tell you...it WILL get better. If you want a rainbow you gotta put up with the rain.... and hopefully 2021 will give us the rainbow. Hopefully... 2021 will inspire people... Hopefully 2021 will show people that the world is a GOOD place, because 2020 showed us that when times get tough we can come together as a community, and help each other. I’m not diagnosed with anxiety , but I’ve been getting really bad anxiety almost every day since the start of this year, but I’m afraid to tell someone because self diagnosing yourself with a mental illness is becoming like a “trend” so I don’t know how to go about it but I don’t want it to make it seem like I’m self diagnosing myself with anxiety but it’s really messing me up and it gets worse almost every day I also feel like I’m being over dramatic because some of my friends actually have anxiety, depression, PTSD , and OCD and they have their days when it’s so bad so I feel like what I’m going through isn’t valid because they have it so much worse than me so I shut down and keep having massive breakdowns after a couple months or so and I just repeat it. Now I really don’t know how I’m going to tell anyone because I’m starting to get really bad anxiety around everyone. Then I start shaking and getting nauseous and end up running away. Sometimes when this happens I start to cry then get embarrassed , it’s been a little over year since someone has seen me cry. I just turned 15 so I got money for my birthday and I just looked into therapy even though I think therapy is scary I’m paying for it by myself it’s like 15 dollars a month it’s working they are suggesting I might have a severe anxiety disorder and a social anxiety disorder. I still haven’t told anyone about this... when I tried telling my friends about this I felt like I was bothering them and that they hated me and still think that. I just feel like they don’t care about me.. although I love them I stopped considering them as friends just in case they really don’t like me so if they truly don’t it won’t hurt as bad if I learn the truth. I know that probably sounds bad but I just consider them as someone I talk too because I definitely still love and care about all of them I’m just get so nervous and I don’t know how to tell anyone that I know what I’m going through like when I was dropping hints that I wasn’t okay my mom picked up on it but instead of a comforting response she acted like I said something offensive and ever since that day I’ve never told anyone how I truly felt ... because I’m afraid too but this video helps calm me down so I’ll be here a lot of you took the time to read this thank you

This reminds me of when life wasn’t hard. No school, no family problems, just pure happiness every single day. It brings me back to this single moment in my life that kind of feels like it didn’t even happen: my friends and I watching Johnny Test while I got up to get a snack from the cupboard. I remember pausing at the cupboard thinking of how young I was and how old everyone else was and what memories I might make in life but I didn’t know that it would be painful.
I have the same memory! I think I was 5 but it feels like it didnt happen. I was watching with my cousins and sitting on the cupboard

Imagine this: your best friend moved away one year ago and for the first time since then you go and see them. Y’all go on a vacation to the Appalachian mountains and you are in a small cabin at the base of the mountain one night where the stars are out and the temperature is perfect. You sneak out at midnight and go the the top of the mountain. At the top you play music and have the time of your life looking at the stars and being with your best friend. After what feels like two hours you look up and see the sun rise over another mountain and you and your best friend walk down back to the cabin to find your best friends mom cooking breakfast and find out that she heard you sneak out but didn’t do anything because she knew that y’all would be fine so you sit down on the porch and watch the sun finish rising in the distance...
oh to have a best friend that doesnt live 20 hours away.

I'm sorry you're going through that. I understand, there have also been plenty of times where I feel like life is just an endless, monotonous cycle. I hope that this last month things have improved for you.
Some things you can do is maybe discover new passions, like photography, drawing, journaling, dancing, reading, writing, singing, aesthetics, etc., to spice things up a bit. For me, I often go running or I take walks and look around at the scenery. Maybe you don't live in a really picturesque area, but what you can do and what I like to do is try to find beauty in even the most unexpected places.
My advice is rather poor, so I am very sorry that I can't give you anything better. But really, I truly wish the best for you.

Same, I'm around that age as well. I have friends and look forward to school and I'm a new person there. I do good, and am smart but it just feels empty inside. I go home and I get on social media. I want to just listen to music and cry all my sorrows out, but I can't. I have a family of six, and share a room with my older sister. I can tell her about some of my problems, but she just thinks its "little kid drama" (she is six years older than I am). I wanna go back. Back to when no one cared, it was only trying to have fun and grow up. But now that I have grown up, I don't wanna go anymore. Its just stuck in a repeated cycle. And to add on, I know at this young age that I am in the LGBT community. I have only told one person, the only person I can tell everything to, the one person I can cry with. I am the same person to her. I am sorry this is long, I had to vent. Hope you feel better, and I know you're sick of hearing this, but it'll get better.

Its a rainy day out and its a bit windy. There's leaves blowing everywhere. You walk to the park around the corner, silently walking in.
You walk around, its a pretty park. You admire the trees. Their leaves are slowly growing back. Theres a huge willow tree in the park and lots of cherry blossom trees. You see a squirrel running up a tree and you smile.
You walk over to a bench and to your surprise, you see an old man sitting there. You go to walk past but he stops you. 'What is a young Lady/man/adult doing out here alone?' You feel a bit awkward and wonder why he is bothering to talk to you.
'I know that look,' he says. 'You think I'm off my rocker.' You feel guilty but he says 'I don't blame you. What would a sad old man want from you?' You see that he is holding a photo but don't ask about it. 'Sit down,' he says. 'I want to tell you something very important.'
'Is anything troubling you?' He asks. You hesitate. Wondering if he will judge you. 'Tell me all you want. There is no one to get angry at you here.' You breathe in and tell him about all the problems in your life.
'I want to tell you a story,' he says. 'Once upon a time, there was a man in his mid 20s. He found the love of his life. He knew he had found the right person. They got married 4 years after they met. Sadly, one day the love of his life got sick and died. He was heartbroken. His mother and father were both dead. He was alone. '
You listen as he continues:
'The man developed severe depression and nothing helped him. As he got older, he was like a living ghost. Until he realised how much he had missed. His whole life he had been thinking about all the bad things. He had wanted to die. One day he realised how special he was and that if he had failed at realising , he would make sure others didn't fail.'
The man smiles at you, and you smile back. 'Now,' he says. 'Run along, your family will be looking for you.'
When you leave, he pulls out the photo he had in his hand again. It was a photo of two men in their late 20s, wearing engagement rings. He smiles as he looks at the photo

All i want in this hell of a world is a friends who checks up on me and says "hey are you okay?" not "did you do your homework?". I want a family who is actually nice. A family who doesnt tell me "your not depressed. you dont have anxiety Your only 12" Even after everything i want someone to like me. Not fake, real. I remember driving back and forth from home to the hospital with my mother and her medical aid, the Lumineers' albums always playing. She had ALS for 5 years, and every single day of those 5 years I watched her physical health slowly deteriorate, knowing there was no way to stop it and no chance of her to get better. All of those feelings I dealt with during those times: sadness, frustration, anger, the glimpses of happiness in the car while I sang along with the music, they're hitting me all at once because I misclicked on this video. It's so oddly cathartic. You obviously didn't make this video for me specifically, but thank you nonetheless.
