The title of the third movement of Suite bergamasque is taken from Verlaine's poem "Clair de lune":
Your soul is a chosen landscape
Where charming masquerades and dancers are promenading,
Playing the lute and dancing, and almost
Sad beneath their fantastic disguises.
While singing in a minor key
Of victorious love, and the pleasant life
They seem not to believe in their own happiness
And their song blends with the moonlight,
With the sad and beautiful moonlight,
Which sets the birds in the trees dreaming,
And makes the fountains sob with ecstasy,
The slender water streams among the marble statues.
I like to imagine it played on a grand piano in a big french mansion while outside is raining and i can see the garden through my window. A bit of "Wuthering Heights" sceneries.

The weirdest thing happened! I was sleeping while playing this song. I had a dream about me and a guy dancing. But it was like royal so I was a princess and he a prince but we both wore mask because that was the party. I was about to remove the mask and I woke up at 3:59 am. I go back to sleep and I’m in normal clothes and I’m in this long hallway as I feel like I’m being followed. I open a door in front of me and i was pulled back into the dance with the prince. I saw his eyes and hair and then I heard his voice. I felt so happy. And this felt real. I took off his mask but saw nothing. I woke up and I knew that voice but I don’t know where from. I ask my bf to send me a voice message and it was him. My bf was the prince. I was so happy and weirded out. Then the next day when I was looking for royal dresses I saw the exact dress I had on in the dream.

When I heard this it was like I recognized it without ever hearing it. Like it brought all of my emotions to the surface and left the numb behind. It felt like butterflies were carrying me to an alternate universe. As the delicate noises of the piano ring in my head it feels as though I have just won a battle, or rather a war. It smells like a dewy spring on an early morning and it seems to taste like cherries. It feels ever so nostalgic and comforting. It's ethereal and seems like it doesn't belong here on the ground and contained in the boxes we call buildings. It belongs up in the sky with the birds and the clouds with a bundle of cotton candy and the wind gently flowing through the air. It seems like this.. this is perfect.
This song fills me with some sort of emptiness or sadness I can’t explain it’s a mix of emotions of happy sad relaxed scared confused and just emptiness like something in my life is missing it hurts my head thinking about it but I love this emotion so much
Imagine if sharing an earbud with someone to this exact video and your just sitting it could be anywhere train station, park cooking food or cuddling with someone. Respond if you wish you had someone like this (your welcome y’all this is how you end up finding soulmates or best friends)
