I have one of these screens and it is great, really no complaints. I fashioned a little wooden box for it to sit on and it also stores the USB M.2 SSD

    I have this touch display.
The only point of criticism is that the HDMI flat cable only fits into the second socket of the PI 4 B.
There is no HDMI flat cable for the PI Zerro, may by also Banana PI Zerro.
I also tested the screen with a PI 3 B, it work.
The USB cable for touch can also be connect with a four-pin connector so you won't see anything on the side.
I always give power to the PI.

Why did they not rotate the pi/mounts so the HDMI face the ribbon port?

Be careful with the switches. I received 2 of them from Amazon. 1 of the switches on the 1st display had a lead come off the board and was twisted sideways, and the other display 1 switch was completely missing. Amazon replaced the 1st one and refunded me for the 2nd one. This display got rave reviews from Amazon so I'll try my luck and order a 3rd display. The problem appears to be a very small solder pad on the PCB with very little solder. I think I was just unlucky. If the replacement is good, I'm going to epoxy the switches in place

I had one of those but it was faulty, customer support gave me instructions via email to try, I tried again, but to no avail, so they gave me a 2nd set of instructions, still no luck, they then gave me a 3rd set, which also didn't work (i was getting annoyed at this point). They then said they'll be in touch and never got back to me, so amazon refunded me in the end, so overall a good product when it works but customer support isn't the greatest, took over a week.

I avoid buying items from amazon like the plague. If you can stand the wait times, you'll have a much better experience getting items like this from aliexpress. The returns process if your item is faulty is far superior.

@leepspvideo how did you get it to correctly work as a second monitor on windows? I have it installed and registering touch but since there is no driver for the display when you extend to the display it only allows you to calibration on the main screen, and is pretty much useless as a touch device since all the clicks register on the main screen

Did you happen to try letting it go to "sleep" with the 32 bit Pi OS to see if you could wake the screen back up just by touching it. I have not been able to successfully get it to do this. It wakes up with mouse movement or a key press on the keyboard, but touching it does nothing. Just wondering if you happened to test this?

    • @szaszferenc898

Probably the USB port has no power in "sleep" mode and that's the reason

Leepsvideo, I brought this exact setup and had it delivered today.
Almost got the whole thing working but interestingly if I have a 2TB ssd plugged into the USB 3 slots of the pi it wont boot (OS on the SD card) so I have to plug the SSD drive into the USB 2 slots.
This happens regardless if its over clocked or not.
This little thing looks to be on target to make a great Media / Plex server.
Overclocked to 1800 Mhz (I am cautiously overclocking) with some little heat sinks added to the CPU

What about the 10.1 inch kit from the same company? I have the kit, and instead of a ribbon wire etc it has a little plug with 3 wires, the loose wires need to be soldered to the Raspberry Pi 4 board close to a USB port, but I can't find any info anywhere to help me and everyone who DOES do a kit review uses the USB/tiny plug wire they give in case you don't want to or can't solder the other wires. Any help would be great. I'm trying to have my 10.1" Raspberry Pi 4 tablet that has at least Rasbian and Kali Linux with working touch screen support. But again, I can hardly find anything on if I'll need Drivers etc for everything to work together smoothly. Especially Kali Linux on a 10.1" touch screen... Giggity.
