I have this touch display. The only point of criticism is that the HDMI flat cable only fits into the second socket of the PI 4 B. There is no HDMI flat cable for the PI Zerro, may by also Banana PI Zerro. I also tested the screen with a PI 3 B, it work. The USB cable for touch can also be connect with a four-pin connector so you won't see anything on the side. I always give power to the PI.
Be careful with the switches. I received 2 of them from Amazon. 1 of the switches on the 1st display had a lead come off the board and was twisted sideways, and the other display 1 switch was completely missing. Amazon replaced the 1st one and refunded me for the 2nd one. This display got rave reviews from Amazon so I'll try my luck and order a 3rd display. The problem appears to be a very small solder pad on the PCB with very little solder. I think I was just unlucky. If the replacement is good, I'm going to epoxy the switches in place
I just got my Eviciv 7" touchscreen display for Raspberry Pi 4 8GB . I hooked it up according to the manual everything works except no sound. Is there a way I could check to see if the sound works? Any suggestions?
@@leepspvideo I am running into this issue now, I just got mine today. I am going to take a look. Glad someone already asked and you provided an answer. Thank you!
I had one of those but it was faulty, customer support gave me instructions via email to try, I tried again, but to no avail, so they gave me a 2nd set of instructions, still no luck, they then gave me a 3rd set, which also didn't work (i was getting annoyed at this point). They then said they'll be in touch and never got back to me, so amazon refunded me in the end, so overall a good product when it works but customer support isn't the greatest, took over a week.
I avoid buying items from amazon like the plague. If you can stand the wait times, you'll have a much better experience getting items like this from aliexpress. The returns process if your item is faulty is far superior.
