@@runningbritain I set myself a few challenges this year nothing as epic as this, but they were all on my own terms and all completed to my satisfaction and that's all that matters.
Well done Claire, good adventuring and a good idea for a new route. I’m quite close to you in Golborne, originally I was watching your more local videos for ideas of new routes. 😊
@@runningbritain I don’t do triathlons anymore due to the time the training takes up, I have 2 dogs now. I’ve done loads of the more local one’s over the years including Ironman Bolton. I tend to run/hike now and a bit of cycling as well. I’ve been enjoying ultras in recent years. My knees are feeling it now!
A good start to quite a big challenge but wishing you well all the way. By the time you get back to Scotland you'll have a lot of momentum and experience behind you, but as you say thats some time time in the future so it's one bit at a time, keep smiling and keep going 😊
You could have done with a sea breeze on that day Claire instead of walking on the roads, i think you will have a lot more cow fields to contend with as you go along.
@@runningbritain Yeah, the river path along the Eden is a regular "training" route. It can be quite hard to follow the trails in that area, sometimes they are little, erm... overgrown 🙂
Looking forward to following your next adventure I’m on the coast after Blackpool so if you want any company or direction or even a lift somewhere let me know
I will be soon - I'm just trying to sort out logistics to get from Whitrigg to Silloth as the public transport links aren't great, so I may carry on from Silloth and come back to that section
Well done, nice video. Wishing you a wonderful evening 😊
You're awesome Claire! I'm stoked for you and this challenge!!
Thank you 😊
You don't pick small challenges, do you! Best of luck with this one. Should be some good content for the next 10 years 🙂👍🏻
Haha no, the crazier the better! Looking forward to getting stuck in and sharing the journey 😊
Well done, tired just watching.. Looking forward to the next vlog as North Cumbria and the Solway coast is my home 🙂
Thanks Dave, I'm looking forward to exploring the Solway Coast more - I've never been but I've heard it's beautiful!
You're not a fraud. It's your challenge, done on your terms. Go get it Claire🏃♀🏃♀🏃♀🏃♀
Thank you - I keep trying to tell myself that. I think I'm coming round to the idea 😊

Hi Trace, I haven't uploaded any local routes for a while, maybe this is something I need to look at doing again! Are you a triathlete as well?

Thank you! I am currently wondering what I was thinking taking this on, but I'm really enjoying it - like you say - one bit at a time 😊

I couldn't believe how many fields with cows I had to go through - never seen as many! The next two legs were just the same!
Wish I knew you were doing this, you've gone about 1/2 a mile from my house. I'd of come to say hello!
Ah really? What a shame!
