Saw Prof Black last week at Granite Noir in Aberdeen. Currently reading her new book. I’m in awe of her work and how she engages with the non academic amongst us. Very much looking forward to watching this .
I really enjoy watching these interviews as I’ve mentioned, but what really hits me is the passion that each of you have for your own area of expertise. And it just dawned on me that I would rather be worked on by a surgeon that did anatomy I’m real people because I am a very visual and tactile person myself and like I said, it occurs to me that you can learn a lot by the fuel and smell of what your dissecting also and plastic and virtual just don’t do it for me.
Hi. I am new hier. Do people spending the body perhaps writing a letter adressed to the one who is going to learn from it? Beyond due distance, I think it would help to feel gratitudine and Respekt. Thanks.
I really enjoy hearing games to black talk and all these interviews but in here she mentioned that people didn’t think that dissecting gods work was a great idea where God created the animals too and people ate them, so how did they eat them without dissecting them? I’m not asking for an answer. It just popped into my mind, and clearly in the Bible it says that once you were dead, you’re not you per se but you were asleep in death, so I don’t know anyhow, I really enjoy this channel and many of the others about forensic anthropology. I started watching the ones from five years ago and I’m coming forward it is so interesting.
What a lovely conversation!

I hope you enjoy the conversation. She is indeed a fascinating and extraordinary woman.
Fascinating conversation with a very learned woman.... so unstuffy. A great communicator without arrogance.

Thank you Penny - so glad to hear you enjoyed it!
IMO, a "Virtually trained" anatomist won't be able to handle 5 seconds in a Mass fatality/Grave situation. -- Hands on is Still best.
