I've used a bunch in different situations, but the first one fits a lot. It is a bit purple though. I use 35mm full frame on most of my stuff between 25-50% usually, depending on the camera or exposure.
HI Thats very informative.thanks a lot. Im currently in a confusion.how should i apply a vignette using colorista 3 to a clip graded with filmconvert. should it be like> 1.colorista 2.filmconvert or like 1.filmconvert 2.colorista im confused with the order in which premiere pro renders the effects in a clip. thanks
Does you shot need to be corrected (proper exposure/white balance) before you add FilmConvert? Or can I put FilmConvert onto a shot that has the wrong balance and fix it with the plugin?
Dude, your videos are the best but I’m deeply sorry you don’t do Vegas videos anymore especially since you were getting close to a million views on some of them. The new Vegas 15 looks solid and I’m confident they would give you a free program to continue your tutorials. Mac is over rated many are using PC or going back to PC. Hopefully you make the change back to PC or get another PC for Vegas because you basically had a monopoly on Vegas tutorials you were a legend with Vegas! Please come back! :)
Film Convert vs Magic Bullet Looks vs DaVinci Resolve What according to you is a good software for long term? Can I always get away with Plugins like Film Convert and Magic Bullet?
Depends on the look you want. For Crocotta I used FilmConvert and then Magic Bullets for extra color effects and then fit complex grading I used Davincii
1: it's a third party program that works the same in every editing software 2: it may not even be available for Sony Vegas 3: I clearly said in this video that I don't have Sony Vegas and I will not be doing tutorials on it.
Bringing back the Tom Tutorials from the cod days... thanks for the help!
There are tons of FilmConvert videos out there, but this one did such an amazing job at explaining the software! Thank you!
No problem!
bro I literally only subscribed because you game the option to skip...you have no idea how often i have to do this. THANKS!!
This Tutorial is so help for amateur film maker! Thanks so much & you're from Arizona as well right on. You're work is spectacular!
Unsure why it gets fuzzy in the beginning. Maybe it will fix over time. Enjoy the tutorial regardless. Thanks
Probably just youtube screwing with their bitrates :(
Perhaps it is still having trouble processing. I'm sure it will work out.
U dont know how happy im to see u again doing this ^^
Wow! The colors look amazing!

Definitely helpful - even in year 2018.. Youre a legend! Cheers mate

what camera did u use bro?
Nice. What's your workflow for color grading your short film? You do it all in AE and then import to Premiere? Or what?
Thanks for this - saved me a lot of time.
How are all your films going man?? I miss seeing all of your BTS stuff! I wish I had a crew around here that I could do all of this with haha
Going well!
Great work Tom!
*high fives
The song "Lately I've Been Dreaming" was produced by Sammy OB, sampled Search Party by Sam Bruno.
Thank you
Looks great!
Great tutorial dude
Great tutorial. Which grain would you recommend then when exporting for RUclips/Vimeo?
I'm unsure right now. Super 35 is usually a safe bet for most.
+Tom J. McCoy awesome. thank you for the quick reply.
Can i use this software to videos taken from ipad? Thanks in advance and nice tutorial
Yes but optimizing camera settings will be difficult. You can try though.

***** How do you make a decision? How do you decide how much you want to leave to Da Vinci? Like what do you mean by complex color grading?
is it a free download software?
cool!
I'm new to color grading, but if I used a LUT I downloaded and then color corrected after would the outcome still be similar to this?
Hard to say. It would be a different process, but you could mess with it.
+Tom J. McCoy alright, thanks for the reply
is it after fx or premire pro?
which software your are using in the video ?
look up the channel Max Novak. He's doing giveaways for film convert on his channel and he has videos explaining all the features
thanks a lot
you think you can do the doodle effect .... people made videos about it but you explain steps better than others
ayyyy
What film are you working on?
Crocotta and pre production for The Hit and then working on the feature version of Crocotta
+Tom J. McCoy Where will you release it? And this year?
