The safety system on that kite appears to work quite well. You got hit by quite a gust when the kite was deep in the power zone and it flagged the kite nicely. Was it difficult to untangle after that? The peak has more lines than a crossword puzzle.

Thanks for posting this video. Just curious where in Hope Valley you went?
I was at Kirkwood, it got windy so I drove over with my kite.
No wind, or maybe I was just in a wind shadow. I walked out about 100 yards from Hope Valley Snow Park. parking lot. Any tips?

Where did you landboard at? I'm in the bay area and looking to start landboarding! I have the board, have a 3M, and will upgrade to a 6-7M later this year. :)

Nice!! What differences did you find between the Peak 2 and Access?

+quedecree Preface: I'm an uber beginner... just started kiting (landboard) in september. The Peak 2 is an AWESOME light wind kite... it will fly in 3.5knots... and really have full power at 6 or 7. The Access is quite a bit heavier kite.. so, needs at least around 12+ knots to really keep it in the air... but the real plus for the Access, is the fact that it's very stable in the gusty lumpy winds. Much less likely to bowtie than the Peak 2. I went out again today, on Caples lake.. with winds 3 knots to 30knots. Tried both again... the Access is MUUUCH easier in the lumpy unpredictable winds. The peak2 has a pretty heavy bar, when getting close to the upper limit of the kite. ruclips.net/video/nwiNx52A5DI/видео.html

+Tim Raiman Thanks Tim! Looks like the landboard practice really payed off. If I ever get around to snowkiting (I'm a buggyer) I think I'll be spending a lot of time on my butt!! Cheers - John.
