you know Floyd never actually explained to Branch why he broke his promise and never came back for him? I mean he can't blame Velvet and Veneer since they only had him captive for 2 months so he had 20 years before then when he could have come back for Branch Kinda wish the movie had addressed this.
Maybe it was because this was pre-Bergen Town? Maybe he and others left before the Bergens showed up and when Floyd tried to go back, the Troll Tree was suddenly in the middle of a Troll eating town. And he wasn’t able to get back in probably because of the landscape changing and said Troll eating Bergens. Branch is also noticeably younger in this than the flashback when he explains that his grandma got eaten. And before you say; “Well Gristle’s father talked about his first time eating a troll.” Take note; Happiness was a foreign concept to the Bergens before they started eating Trolls, so Gristle’s father was probably nervous about this “happiness” that he had never felt before. But that’s just a theory. Who knows? But the idea that Brozone broke up before the Bergens appeared is the most likely reason why Floyd and the others didn’t/couldn’t come back. Edit: or as another commenter pointed out; he probably heard about the Troll Tree and Bergen Town and tried going back, but he couldn’t find them because, as we saw the Pop Trolls relocated a good ways away from Bergen Town. For all we know he was looking for Branch and their grandmother (who he didn’t know had already been eaten) but got side tracked trying to find where they had resettled, and as a result in trying to find them, got caught by Velvet and Veneer.

Perhaps before Floyd got captured by Velvet and Veneer maybe to many things were going on in his life to the point that he probably didn’t have the time to go looking for Branch, and maybe by the time when Floyd was finally ready to go looking for Branch and his other brothers was when he was captured by Velvet and Venner. Thatis my theory as to what happened with Floyd. Perhaps in future trolls things Floyd will probably explain to Branch why he never went looking for Branch within the time they were separated from each other.

He's *kind, sweet, shy, sensitive, realistic, cute supportive, wise, mature, calm, resilient, intelligent, charming, compassionate, caring, loving and **_sometimes sarcastic,_* like Branch. Except Branch is currently less shy. Now I know why Branch and Poppy became *best friends* at the end of Trolls 1. Because Floyd was also Branch's best friend and Poppy reminded him of his closest and favourite brother as if she's obviously the girl version of the Sensitive One, only that she's more upbeat, happy-go-lucky and optimistic. But, I love Floyd more than Poppy because he's sweeter, wiser, calmer, kinder, more mature, more sensitive, more compassionate and more realistic than her, and he wants Branch to be like him too. And, of course, Floyd doesn't see that the world is all "cupcakes and rainbows". Floyd has both Branch and Poppy's hearts. His emotional intelligence is extremely high, he could give people extremely good advice to put them on the right and effective path, calm them down or encourage them. He's a father figure for his older and younger brothers, even though he's the second-youngest brother of BroZone. Branch has taken up Floyd's maturity, kindness, compassion and, of course, sarcasm. Branch is as close to Poppy as he is to Floyd. Whenever Branch is nervous or mad, disappointed and heartbroken, Floyd and Poppy's respective presence would calm his heart down and make him feel warm inside. Branch is mostly happy, nice, kind and calm when he's around either Floyd or Poppy or both. That's why Branch and Floyd are my favourite characters and the *Most Valuable Trolls (MVTs)* of the franchise. Floyd's more than just _Branch's_ closest and favourite brother as much as Poppy's more than just _his_ girlfriend. They're also his best friends too. P.S. Floyd and Poppy are pink-haired Pop Trolls, where Floyd's hair is dark magenta pink and Poppy's hair is hot pink. They even have split side-swept bangs that cover their left eyebrow or left eye. P.P.S. I'm sure that if Poppy were to become a better queen than she already is since the end of Trolls World Tour, she'd ask Floyd for advice. P.P.P.S I love Floyd's eye-covering emo hairstyle. It definitely matches his shy and sensitive personality, like the other emo people. He even looks so cute with that worried smile expression.

Edit: or as another commenter pointed out; he probably heard about the Troll Tree and Bergen Town and tried going back, but he couldn’t find them because, as we saw the Pop Trolls relocated a good ways away from Bergen Town. For all we know he was looking for Branch and their grandmother (who he didn’t know had already been eaten) but got side tracked trying to find where they had resettled, and as a result in trying to find them, got caught by Velvet and Veneer.
Me too. Maybe he had a similar situation as John dory going back to an empty tree and thinking he was dead
@katlynnbos1790 That's what I was thinking. Yeah, John dory addresses that he tried going back but didn't see anybody. Maybe floyd did the same thing but got caught by velvet and veneer in the act. Resulting in him being kidnapped.
Perhaps before Floyd got captured by Velvet and Veneer maybe to many things were going on in his life to the point that he probably didn’t have the time to go looking for Branch, and maybe by the time when Floyd was finally ready to go looking for Branch and his other brothers was when he was captured by Velvet and Venner. Thatis my theory as to what happened with Floyd. Perhaps in future trolls things Floyd will probably explain to Branch why he never went looking for Branch within the time they were separated from each other.

Floyd is the kindest, most caring, most loving, most sensitive, most compassionate, most supportive and sweetest Troll I've ever met. He's *kind, sweet, shy, sensitive, realistic, cute supportive, wise, mature, calm, resilient, intelligent, charming, compassionate, caring, loving and **_sometimes sarcastic,_* like Branch. Except Branch is currently less shy. Now I know why Branch and Poppy became *best friends* at the end of Trolls 1. Because Floyd was also Branch's best friend and Poppy reminded him of his closest and favourite brother as if she's obviously the girl version of the Sensitive One, only that she's more upbeat, happy-go-lucky and optimistic. But, I love Floyd more than Poppy because he's sweeter, wiser, calmer, kinder, more mature, more sensitive, more compassionate and more realistic than her, and he wants Branch to be like him too. And, of course, Floyd doesn't see that the world is all "cupcakes and rainbows". Floyd has both Branch and Poppy's hearts. His emotional intelligence is extremely high, he could give people extremely good advice to put them on the right and effective path, calm them down or encourage them. He's a father figure for his older and younger brothers, even though he's the second-youngest brother of BroZone. Branch has taken up Floyd's maturity, kindness, compassion and, of course, sarcasm. Branch is as close to Poppy as he is to Floyd. Whenever Branch is nervous or mad, disappointed and heartbroken, Floyd and Poppy's respective presence would calm his heart down and make him feel warm inside. Branch is mostly happy, nice, kind and calm when he's around either Floyd or Poppy or both. That's why Branch and Floyd are my favourite characters and the *Most Valuable Trolls (MVTs)* of the franchise.
Floyd's more than just _Branch's_ closest and favourite brother as much as Poppy's more than just _his_ girlfriend. They're also his best friends too.
P.S. Floyd and Poppy are pink-haired Pop Trolls, where Floyd's hair is dark magenta pink and Poppy's hair is hot pink. They even have split side-swept bangs that cover their left eyebrow or left eye.
P.P.S. I'm sure that if Poppy were to become a better queen than she already is since the end of Trolls World Tour, she'd ask Floyd for advice.
