I have had several people ask what class I am taking online to learn more about different herbs and their uses. Here it is: Herbal Medicine for Beginners online.commonwealthherbs.com/courses/for-beginners?ref=d635f7
I have really enjoyed taking this class because I can watch the video or I can download the audio to my phone and listen while I am working in the garden. I hope you enjoy!

You can also use herbs like basil, thyme, and lavender to make herbal gelatos. Bay makes a really delicious syrup for fruits and berries.

Thank you Lacie for always sharing. Your family is so beautiful and loving. Trying so hard to farm in the city. Real hard. Can't put electric fence up and a ground hog took out all my broccoli. Kids are the next issue. Sad because we were always taught not to go into anyone's yard and never to destroy things. Praying we can get out soon but we promised God not to go into debt ever again. Thank you both for also helping out the the Hollar homestead. They have a big family of homesteaders that care. God's blessing to you and yours.

Yarrow is an herb. The above ground parts are used to make medicine. Yarrow is used for fever, common cold, hay fever, absence of menstruation, dysentery, diarrhea, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal (GI) tract discomfort, and to induce sweating. Some people chew the fresh leaves to relieve toothache.

Great video! I’m brand new to your channel but I really liked this video. My most favorite thing to grow is herbs. Also, I’m with Laci on loving old things. I think there is so much beauty in old, broken, rough looking things. It’s also so unique cause things like that are typically one of a kind, so no one else will have a garden like yours. The garden is absolutely beautiful

I really enjoyed hearing Lacie talk about her herbal garden and the medicinal uses of plants. I am an herbalist and would love to talk shop with Lacie! I am fairly new to your channel and am enjoying your videos. I thought I'd share that, for poisonous spider bites (brown recluse and hobo spiders) or pit viper snake bites (rattlesnakes, copperheads, etc.) you can make a poultice of echinacea and plantain leaves and use on the bite and also consume those plants. I'm told it will draw out the poison and will stop the cell death (so you don't get a huge, nasty wound) as soon as you use the poultice and begin to consume the herbs. Echinacea contains hyaluronic acid (the "mortar" for our cellular "bricks") which stops the action of hyaluronidaise ("anti" hyaluronic acid) in poisonous snake/spider venom. Your mention of the spider bite brought that to mind. You have a great mix of medicinal herbs--powerful herbs that are very useful as medicine. Thank you for all that your family shares and for your positive, friendly approach to your channel. Lacie, if you're interested in talking shop, let me know! God bless!

One thing I've noticed with my culinary herb garden,it takes a long time to establish from seed. Once the seedlings get about three inches tall they really blast off. I had always purchased herb plugs from my local nurseries. I'm glad I started from seed, the plants are much more vigorous and healthy . Next growing season I'ĺl be adding medicinal herbs.
