I have had several people ask what class I am taking online to learn more about different herbs and their uses. Here it is: Herbal Medicine for Beginners online.commonwealthherbs.com/courses/for-beginners?ref=d635f7
I have really enjoyed taking this class because I can watch the video or I can download the audio to my phone and listen while I am working in the garden. I hope you enjoy!
Thank you im trying to learn more about plants and herbs!God bless you !
Thank you! I will check it out. Looking forward to it!
Ignore the hateful comments, accept the love and the gifts from those of us who can give and the love from us who do care!
Hey mike can you share some of what your learning from the herb class please because I can’t afford the cost of the classes :(
HARDWIRE YOUR LAPTOP SO YOU DONT SUFFER FROM THE DANGEROUS RADIATION.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY!!
You can also use herbs like basil, thyme, and lavender to make herbal gelatos. Bay makes a really delicious syrup for fruits and berries.
Lacie, your garden is inspiring...thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching!!
I just love when Lacey is on. Love the apothocary garden and all the treasures incorporated throughout. Very beautiful..
Thank you Colleen!
She's awesome!
Wow I love how knowledgeable you are about medicinal herbs. My grandmother told me that many medical perennials was passed down through families when their children got married, like a family heirloom.
I am still learning!! There is so much to learn so I just keep going. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you Lacie for always sharing. Your family is so beautiful and loving. Trying so hard to farm in the city. Real hard. Can't put electric fence up and a ground hog took out all my broccoli. Kids are the next issue. Sad because we were always taught not to go into anyone's yard and never to destroy things. Praying we can get out soon but we promised God not to go into debt ever again. Thank you both for also helping out the the Hollar homestead. They have a big family of homesteaders that care. God's blessing to you and yours.
You are so very welcome! I'm so glad that I can share!
Sweet love this teaching us on the plants. Thank you 🤗💕
Hi Lacie and Mike,
You two were so much help to Megan and Ben.
I love your channel, and I'm watching to see how to plant a garden. I love listening to both of you.
We were happy to help the Hollars! We know what it is like to start a homestead. Thanks for watching Janice!
Your apothecary garden looks amazing. Everything is so full and beautiful.
Thank you Mama T!! It seems to be taking over. lol
Yarrow is an herb. The above ground parts are used to make medicine. Yarrow is used for fever, common cold, hay fever, absence of menstruation, dysentery, diarrhea, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal (GI) tract discomfort, and to induce sweating. Some people chew the fresh leaves to relieve toothache.
Laci your garden is lovely. Ive never grown the toothache plant but Bakercreek uses it in their pesticide. It was nice of you to allow Enrique to help you show the garden. Looking forward to sharing more of what youre growing.
Enrique! 😂😂 One of our first dates was to an Enrique concert. lol
Lacie, you are doing an amazing job - that's a gorgeous garden. Thank you for explaining all the different uses for each plant and I look forward to seeing how you use them in salves, tonics, etc. We are trying so very hard to move towards a more "in your backyard" medicine cabinet.
Thank you!! I look forward to sharing more in the future.
Wow! With the magic of youtube, I went from the construction of the empty garden, ready for planting, to this video where its all grown and flourishing! BEAUTIFUL! : )
Lacey, I can't wait for you long lesson on herbs and stuff. I have a hard time growing flowers, but I keep trying. Love your information. Your garden looks beautiful. Have a Wonderful & Blessed Day!
Some flowers that are super easy to grow are zinnias and calendula is pretty easy too. I am going to try and do more herb videos.
Nice job Lacie!! Look forward to seeing more of these in the future.
loved this! I am totally interested in learning this style of gardening. Thank you Lacie for sharing this.
"so we're gonna start smoking it?" LOL. My man went from "Fit Farmer" to "Maybe I'll not be that Fit of a Farmer" real quick. I like how you're always smiling bro.
Pro Tip: Some people say the bigger the mustache the faster your crops gonna grow.
The whimsy in your garden is so calming and beautiful 👍👌🥰
I like that you have vintage things in your garden. I do the same. Please share more often
Having rusty stuff in the garden is something I love! It gives your garden character ~ Lacie

This is probably my favorite video from y'all. What a beautiful garden area. I love the humor too! Grow on!
Thank you!
Great video! I’m brand new to your channel but I really liked this video. My most favorite thing to grow is herbs. Also, I’m with Laci on loving old things. I think there is so much beauty in old, broken, rough looking things. It’s also so unique cause things like that are typically one of a kind, so no one else will have a garden like yours. The garden is absolutely beautiful
Lacie your garden rocks. Lot of helpful plants.
Thank you Daryl!
What a great video, so much good info! Great job, Lacie, and keep up the good work!
My wife loves the Apothecary Healing Series with Lacie!! She enrolled in the Free Herb 🌿 Class that Lacie mentioned too!! Hope you’ll do more videos!!! We all need natural remedies and home remedies in our garden!

Beautiful garden!! Love idea of hidden treasures in the garden something I can do to share with the grand children.
Would love to see a video on how to build a stone raised bed! Also Lacey’s recipes on how she uses medicinal plants and makes salves please!
Lacie , your garden is beautiful. I used to belong to the herb society in our area in eastern NC, Funny regarding the tobacco, however it was used as a poultice for bee stings and wasps stings back in the day! 😂
I have been waiting for this video, and it did not disappoint! Can't wait to learn how to make salves.
So glad you enjoyed it Christine!
Lacie,I love to learn from your videos. Thanks
I really enjoyed hearing Lacie talk about her herbal garden and the medicinal uses of plants. I am an herbalist and would love to talk shop with Lacie! I am fairly new to your channel and am enjoying your videos. I thought I'd share that, for poisonous spider bites (brown recluse and hobo spiders) or pit viper snake bites (rattlesnakes, copperheads, etc.) you can make a poultice of echinacea and plantain leaves and use on the bite and also consume those plants. I'm told it will draw out the poison and will stop the cell death (so you don't get a huge, nasty wound) as soon as you use the poultice and begin to consume the herbs. Echinacea contains hyaluronic acid (the "mortar" for our cellular "bricks") which stops the action of hyaluronidaise ("anti" hyaluronic acid) in poisonous snake/spider venom. Your mention of the spider bite brought that to mind. You have a great mix of medicinal herbs--powerful herbs that are very useful as medicine. Thank you for all that your family shares and for your positive, friendly approach to your channel. Lacie, if you're interested in talking shop, let me know! God bless!
I saw you on Doug and Stacy's and was impressed with your positive attitude and cheery disposition, so here I am as a new subscriber. Thanks for sharing your bright spirit and knowledge.

You are such sweet people. Love your garden.
One thing I've noticed with my culinary herb garden,it takes a long time to establish from seed. Once the seedlings get about three inches tall they really blast off. I had always purchased herb plugs from my local nurseries. I'm glad I started from seed, the plants are much more vigorous and healthy . Next growing season I'ĺl be adding medicinal herbs. Thanks Lacie for the inspiration
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for sharing. Your garden is wonderful.

You're welcome!
You have really inspired me - so beautiful!
We really enjoyed your medicinal garden tour. This year we started a medicinal garden as well. We are excited as our fever few is just beginning to bloom, which means almost time to start harvesting it to dry. This is also our first year growing Luffas and they are just beginning to bloom. You gave us some great ideas of things to add to expand our medicinal garden next year. I also love adding art in the garden.
We are so glad that you enjoyed it, thanks so much for watching!
By far, Lacey, the most gorgeous apothecary garden ever. Love the rustic touches...and your comfrey - the best!❤
