Thanks so much! If I am going to start doing Mafex, maybe I should change my catchphrase from "Play nice and have fun" to "save money and stay safe" lol
Great video. And a great figure to get involved in Mafex figs. Almost impossible to get hold of now for a reasonable price, but the Mafex creme de la creme is their X-Men Gambit figure. Maybe they will do a reissue. Would be a blast if you could get your hands on it for a review.
@@5POAFigureReviews I got the whole Mafex X-Men range and about 70 Mafex figs total. Psylocke is unfortunately one of their more disappointing recent releases. Odd sculpt and not good to handle.
I would prefer the Blue and Grey to the Black and Grey version, so I figure I can hold off until McFarlane released a Blue Hush. And since it is a lot more expensive than Hush himself, it gives me time to save up for him.
Not really a fair fight... but at least it stayed clean.... I've been collecting retail figures for years....from company to company..line to line... It's just what I collect... Won't knock anyone for buying Imports but it's just not what I collect.... It's not even the price... because I spend thousands on Multiverse.... It's the scale... The character selection " all Batman " rings a bell... I customize so no reason to customize a $100 figure... It's just completely different collecting habits... Not really a good comparison... If that's what you like by all means....but not for me....💀
GREAT OBSERVATION! I have reviewed this twice now but I have not noticed. Technically, though, it is not Three Jokers. It is the removable arms from Batman Year Two. Those two have matching fins but Year Two has no sculpted detail for the edge of the glove.
Hey Jason, Love your channel! Can u tell me where you got the floating shelf with the War Machine figure in your intro? I am having trouble with space and something like that would be ideal. Thanks!
I found it at Ross for $25. Unfortunately, because Ross is a close out store, I don't know how easily you will find it, but I do find a lot of good shelves at Hobby Lobby when they do 50% off sales, and also at thrift stores.
I think comparing Mcfarlane to Mafex is a little bit unfair. Different price range comes with different quality. That said I like Mcfarlane's Hush head a lot more that Mafex's. The bandages are a lot more real looking
True, though one thing I will say (as I said in the Poseability section), this comparison gave me more admiration for McFarlaneregarding their desire to emulate the engineering of import figures on a domestic mass market budget. Jumping companies to Hasbro, though, and consider the Gamerverse Miles Morales. Great texture and paint, pinless joints, two heads, six hands, and a BAF piece for $22? Definitely could compete with a Mafex. Also, I agree with you about the McFarlane Hush head. I like it better.
@@5POAFigureReviews I think that it comes down to preference. Both Mafex and SH figuarts have different quality. Not necessarily better but different. Hasbro and Mcfarlane are totally different than the two I mentioned before. Their joints are different, their paint job, even their plastic has a different quality.
Well, not every fight is a fair one lol but hopefully it was an entertaining and informative one ha I was surprised by how well the the Multiverse one held its own, given its limitations.
@@5POAFigureReviews Actually really like the McFarlane hush (The single release not the Two pack version). So many people are complaining about the closed jacket but he's seen multiple times like that in the book. Sure he isn't gonna do the acrobatics with the coat but when I picture Hush in my mind he's standing in the shadows looking menacing.
Yes. Mafex is 1:12 (6") scale, Mcfarlane is 1:10 (7") scale. As you can see though, for figure photography purposes, you can make it work with clever use of posing and forced perspective
Man, I've been wanting to grab that mafex hush and I agree with the majority of everyone here when I say that this is just the beginning lol I have the black version Batman Hush and I was super impressed
Oh you poor thing. Mafex is a rabbit hole that can prove costly very quickly. I told myself I'd just get Gwenpool, then it was Cyclops, then the rest of their X-releases, then oh okay, lets get Spidey, Venom and Carnage too. But no DC, absolutely no DC, or movie figures... ..next thing you know, you've got the black Hush Batman, Superman and Catwoman, the MK 85 Iron Man is arriving this week, and you're even eyeing up Homelander and Butcher. Sigh.
Thank you for this video. It helped me realize I hate action figures. I've been collecting for over 15 years and I only just now realized I hate buying the same character over and over because they keep making shitty figures. Never again.

Man, you are actually my fav. Action figure Reviewer, you are the best 👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much, that means a lot to me!
All the size comparisons are greeaaatly appreciated, I subbed!
Thanks! Glad it helped.
Hey hey! You really dipped your toes into the imports! Nice!
Thanks! A few more preordered, so we will see where this goes.
omg your first mafex
I love your reviews man i always watch it
and also your old videos
save money and stay safe

Yeah, he goes for a pretty penny. X-Men wise, the one I really want is Psylocke.

Hey I have a question why did you not get the mafex black and grey batman hush vs the mcfarlane black and grey batman

Have anybody know this they used the three Jokers Batman gloves for the hush Batman Packaging

Midfarlane definitively has a way better head sculpt but mates is better in everything else.

@@5POAFigureReviews Cool, thanks for the feedback. I will start looking in those places.
You’re reviewing MAFEX now? Oh yeah, I like where this is going 😉😁
We'll see! I am telling myself only a couple here and there, but I also lie to myself a lot lol
ANOTHER VS, TODAY IS A WONDERFUL DAY!!!
Thanks, Noah! Glad I could make your day better. Next Versus will be late next week, but a couple other videos coming first.
@@5POAFigureReviews awesome! any video from you always makes a day a good day!
Thanks so much, Noah!
Jolly good review sir. The similarities between the construction and emulation of imports by Todd is appreciated in this vid.

Thank you for this video 🙏
You're very welcome!
Im surprised mcfarlane put up such a good fight here lol especially cause I think this hush is poopoo, but regardless, great video!
Thanks, Jacob!
THE $100+ FIGURE IS WAY BETTER THAN THE $20- FIGURE??!!?? 😱😱😱😱
Fr tho this aint even fair 🤣

Trying to get the reissue of spidey and the new scarlet from Mafex
hope you can!
@@5POAFigureReviews So do I lol I missed out on the BEN Reilly
Mafex toy shorter than mcfarlane?
Yes. Mafex is 1:12 (6") scale, Mcfarlane is 1:10 (7") scale. As you can see though, for figure photography purposes, you can make it work with clever use of posing and forced perspective

Will u get hush Batman
Do you mean from Mafex?
Yes
Man, I've been wanting to grab that mafex hush and I agree with the majority of everyone here when I say that this is just the beginning lol I have the black version Batman Hush and I was super impressed
This was my first and I already have three more coming lol my budget is in trouble ha
I really like both. But I like the mafex figure more. I’ve had a ton of fun with it.
It really is a great figure.
Problem i have with mafex is that the marvel ones scale perfectly with marvel legends which is great, but the dc ones seem to be a smaller scale.
Looking forward to my first Marvel one around arriving so I can take them for a spin

Yeah, sounds like a lot of what I am telling myself right now lol The big one I am saying is, "well if I don't preorder it now it will be more later."
7:06
That's what she said 😉
HA! yeah....set myself up for that one lol
something tells me we could get another Hush.
The only serious departure from his design I can think of is in Arkham City. Would be interested if they started to do figures from that.
@@5POAFigureReviews I'm down for that. I want Batman year one wave or 90s Tim Drake Robin and Huntress.
I'm mixed on the Huntress they have coming out, but a 90s Tim Drake would be an instant buy for me.

Not really a fair comparison
Mcfarlane
Nice
