Im almost entirely a comic collector for DC Multiverse. Not that i dont love the adaptations, but that I put a limit on myself to not need to buy *everything* that McFarlane puts out... But wow, this figure knocked me off my feet. A true gem from the Multiverse Team to start off 2025

I think this Superman really defines the late 70’s early 80’s. Reeve was all we had until Keaton came in the early 90’s. This CE is really nice, so happy to have a huge part of my childhood represented so well.
Love this video!! That was a fun watch. The Cyborg Superman swap and the Clark Kent swaps were welcome surprises! Really hope they’ll make Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne figures. That’ll be sweet!
@@5POAFigureReviews I received the corrupted Superman while trying to order the normal version which made me quite happy as, A: I didn't know there was a chase, and B: I wouldn't have found one (for a decent price) if I was actively trying to!
Still got mine in the box, the only thing I wasn't able to open on camera before taking a trip. I've been warming up to DC McFarlane in general and look forward to messing with this one AND the Begins Bat-Bale due out this year.
I tried TDKR Joker's jacket and arms on Penguin from 2022 Batman's body and it turned out really well imo, with the only issue being the color. I think with the Question's body would work even better, especially with the hat because Clark didn't have the curl in the hair. Just an idea.
I put the standard head on the hush body from the doomsday pack Much closer match on the flesh tones. I’m working on swapping the cape over. It’s too big for reeve so I’m just using it as a comic head.
I thought you of all people would think of the idea for the alternate head that I did- You can use it as a de-powered kryptonite infected Superman!!! Throw him in the swimming pool with Ms Tessmacher and throw a kryptonite necklace around him and put that alternate head on
I don't think the second head is useless, a lot of people are into customizing and to those people, me included, it serves a purpose of not having to spend time and/or money chasing the platinum. Platinums are almost impossible to track down for some people, with the best option being BBTS making it available for 10 bucks plus.
Great review! Looking forward to getting this figure! Also, I’ve always been of the opinion that the Donnerverse could use its own Batman instead of an existing one, since the world doesn’t quite fit the vibe of either West or Keaton’s Batmen imo
My only complaint about the Christopher Reeve Superman is that alt head. I would have definitely loved a smiling head sculpt to recreate his smiling flyby at the end of the movie.
I'm so happy with this figure, I agree on wanting a Christopher Reeve smiling head. I got luck and got the platinum too and am very happy with him too. Now I'm off to get me a Question figure.
The Walmart Action Comics figure is sure to be clearanced out at some point, they shipped sooo many after it taking forever to wind up on shelves. Gonna use the alt evil head on that body (if I can't find the Platinum), and the Action Comics head on a lighter color repaint of the DKR Supes (which is cheap most places).
Christopher Reeve was the perfect Superman, his version of the man of steel is midway between Adam West and Michael Keaton Batmen, so he compares well to both of them, you know when Superman the Movie was in cinemas Jimmy Carter was president... it feels like a weird thing to think about.
Now matter how corny the films are, Christopher Reeve is definitely Superman especially how he nailed both Clark Kent and The Man of Steel especially the suit fitting his build while matching the classic look, I don't have him but I have to try to get him for my collection, Overall, Awesome review.
If you count the Mattel figures, this is technically the SECOND Christopher Reeve Superman in the DC Multiverse line... Hopefully, this one has better distribution.
The double hem cuffs are also on the newest Sideshow replica, which was recently shared by James Gunn himself. Neither of them should have it technically, but I guess that’s why
I preordered my Reeves Supes with BBTS as soon as their preorders went live. They sent me an email a few days before Christmas to notify me that they'd be processing my order "soon" but they still haven't shipped it. 🤷

Absolutely no chance of getting this one in the UK. Sold out everywhere that got it in seconds. I do have a pre-order for the page punchers comic style one with the cell shading that I'm hoping I can mod, but amazon is a bit flakey in that department so I'm not holding my breath. Though they did just come through on the Silver Age Joker, so fingers are crossed.
That's an awesome figure. But. What I did. To fix the huge hands from. C"classic superman ". Use the Shazam movie figure hands and. They fit and look way better
If this one was released earlier, I would have lost interest in mcfartlane almost completely. This one is just terrible. Why didn't it get engineering like Bloodsport?! The midsection cut looks awful 🤔
