Great concert, thanks Pau NG for this forgotten work.Berezovskyj went to Italy in the spring of 1769., to perfect himself with the famous Father Martini at the Philharmonic Academy of Bologna. In collaboration with Josef Mysliveček (then also a graduate of the Academy) he passed the exam, which consisted in writing a polyphonic composition on a given theme. A similar test had also been given to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart a few months earlier. The piece for four voices composed by Berezovsky was kept in the Academy archive. On 15.05.1771., he became a member of the Philharmonic Academy.
The first two movements are astonishingly good. The slow movement (3:49 to 7:54) seems very beautiful to me (harmony, modulations), particularly from 5:56 .
