I’ve never entered the amiibo menu on the Wii U before... I didn’t know that it’d have its own lovely music just like every other part of the system ❤️ The Switch’s UI just feels as blank and generic as the Xbox One’s and PS4’s...
@@sebb.jimenez you’re right. Even the PS4 and PS5 have really good ambient notes in the background. The Switch UI is basically the Xbox but even more plain
I mean, I understand why they did that, but it would've been nice if they had a feature where you could just send Miis to a SD card, then put it in your Switch, and even if you had 100 Miis, you'd be able to have more Miis as long as that SD card was in there (and let's be honest, most people are going to usually have a SD card in their Switch)
This is a convoluted way to move Mii characters. They should have a way to do that directly, like through a downloadable app on both consoles. Not everyone has Amiibos and if you have a lot of Mii characters, it could take a while.
An app would be just as convoluted if people couldn't find it/weren't aware of it. This is a simple way of doing it, they will likely have other ways of doing it too.
The main problem is that you have to have at least one Amiibo. If you don't have any, you're out of luck. If nothing else, an app or even system settings feature should be optional.
If it doesn't work, make a copy of your mii on your wii u with a QR code or I don't know what, then put this copy of your mii to "owner" of the amiibo. And then put the amiibo on the switch and normally, it will works. I hope my comment will help you and I'm sorry for the mistakes of English :3
I "transfered" my Mii from my Wii to the Switch by just recreating them. What I mean is counting how high, big and other stuff. That way, my miis are in the switch :D!
Why would I want to hear "Walking on Sunshine" while watching this? It disrupts me more than it helps.. a nice background tune however could hide the small bits between sentences so those won't feel so empty..
Nintendo sends the consoles to certain reviewers and commentators to kind of show off the console, and tell people how things work. There are still some strict rules they have to follow until the console is released to the public.
This can work for Nintendo 3DS owners, right? Those with the New Nintendo 3DS models can do it instantly, while those with the older models can use the amiibo NFC Reader.
Yes, but you need to own a Wii, Wii U, and Switch. Idk if this method will work as I never used the Wii To Wii U application but I think you just use the transfer application from the Wii to Wii U. Hopefully there is an option to move Miis to the Wii U. Then follow the tutorial in this video.

most likely

WorldwideWebb I
The switch only stores 100 miis? I made 1000 miis on Wii u
"only"
Quite a letdown if you ask me. I made about 100-200 on Wii U and now it looks like I'll have to leave some of them behind when I transfer them. :/
Helmut VonH Miis are gonna be far less important as Nintendo moves forward so it shouldnt matter
Eh, it might come in an update later. I wouldn't worry too much
I got some of my Mii's ready! Hope to see your Mii's when Mario Kart 8 Deluxe releases!
*Never say goodbye to the Wii U.*
That Super Mario jump like lose for the Mii is awesome!
I don't have a switch yet, but hope to get one soon. Thanks for the heads up. I'm starting to save Miis to the Amiibo I already have.
This is just what I needed to know. Thanks!

Elvis S i'm pretty sure you can move them from 3DS and Miitomo since in the Mii maker there is a Send/Receive section.
Elvis S never mind, just read that that was for sending Miis between Nintendo Switch Consoles
Good thing that my gamepads nfc reader doesn't work and it just shows me an error code

Does your main mii get transferred automatically when you login with your Nintendo ID for the first time?
Nope. Had to use amiibos to move all four you see in the video.
Alright. Thanks for your response :)
Do you think they will add that feature in the Release Update?
I think yes
sadly, no. i tried already
Thanks! I wanted to know if this was possible, I've been using the same mii on every console since the Wii.

Very helpful dude! I used my extra Inkling Girl! Can't wait to transfer it on Friday! I subbed
So I have to make a user profile for every mii I want to transfer?
No
Wait so technically, I can transfer my childhood Wii Miis to Switch? (Unless the WiiU Transfer tool on Wii doesn't work anymore lmao)
Or, you can use a 3DS to transfer from the Wii. 😅
@@mimitchibubble131 hello random person, in the span of 2 years i did discover that it's possible, very cool
Yes thank you so much I can now move my miis with special symbols to my switch
Ah, guess I don't have to worry about trying to recreate my abomination on the Switch.
Good video!
I wish they'd let you send Miis from Wii, 3DS, or Wii U, but this way they ensure you have to buy an amiibo to transfer them.
Wait, do you need an amiibo to do it?
Yes, you’ll need at least one.
yeah
YES
Link yes
Link yes also you can do the same prosses with a 3ds (I think.)
I can't do it... Just says there is no mii on my amiibo even though I did what you did... wtf?
I have this same problem! Did you figure out a way to fix it?
Swedish Otaku I have that problem as well
Same problems too ... where are you from guys? maybe its a country/region problem? Im from European Region.
i didnt work for me either. So i used my new 3ds and it worked.
i'm a european
You can also do the same thing for the 3DS.
Also you can do that on the 3ds, i think
Doesn't work for me for some weird reason...
I tried several times but it only gives me 'There is no Mii registered to this Amiibo'
Same!
I have found that the initials Bj are not allowed on the Switch. If you try to use it and error screen comes up saying this is an inappropriate word.
Crap. I have over 40 miis
lilkray2thebone . Oh no lol
I have over 70. Shoot.
Y
I have over 100.
Can't you just erase the mii. And repeat the process?
It also works for nfc tags from ali. But for my tag it worked only after I left it aside from wii u gamepad.
Nice intro!
lol I thought you needed a Mii Amiibo to transfer them thank goodness that's not the case...
How do u transfer downloaded games on the Wii u from the eShop ti the switch?
This was a super usefull video Thanks!
How you got the nintendo switch before the release ???
Nintendo sends the consoles to certain reviewers and commentators to kind of show off the console, and tell people how things work. There are still some strict rules they have to follow until the console is released to the public.
Videodejeux They are the bi-monthly magazine Nintendo Force.
Thanks, this really helped!
I honestly figured this out myself

José Javier Ayala Velez yup
How to you move miis from the wii to the switch?
Aww man
Dark Link transfer from wii to 3ds, then transfer from 3ds to switch with amiibo
FYI. You can also do this with you're New 3DS!
How do you send miis from 3ds to the Nintendo Switch?
Can you use a 3DS for this? My Wii U overheated and is broken. I tried getting it fixed but it wasn’t able to for some reason.
Ok, I just did it on my 3DS and it did in fact work.
I'm pretty sure their gonna add music later on because remember system updates are gonna head are way
Now i want a switch!!!!!!
So if you don't have an amiibo, you're screwed? Sounds legit.
and if you don't have an amiibo?
Wait so you can only move one amiibo at the time? But I have so many
I don't have a amiibo! I wanted one!
Can you transfer miis made by a different creator or only miis created by yourself? I don't think I'm good with making miis of other characters.
“Bean playing Netflix”
Can you have multiple Miis on one user?? Still a bit confusing
Iggy Is Amazing different users
But... I don't own amiibo's...
Can I link Eshop money from wii u to switch?
It would be nice on launch day if you show us how to access the japanese Switch eShop
I hope to god it's easier than making a japanese PSN account
What about other miis you have stored on the system? Is there a way to move all of em at once?
Wii and then wii U? What's next? Nintendo switch U?
lol
Helpful, thanks!
You can do it on 3ds too
Hey, if I connect my Nintendo Account (which is connected to my NNID so it has my Mii), would it automatically transfer it?
Nope. I tried.
Is There Any way To Transfer Miis In Nintendo Switch Without Using Amiibo
Nope.
I totally gotta save this lol
Hope there is a way to do it without akimbo as not everyone has one
Zachary really? Akimbo? It's amiibo
Zachary you can do it without akimbo's
But what if you don't want to make a profile for a mii?
It's not required anymore
its february not march when nintendo switch release
Can we do it on my Wii?😕😕
One question, can you use one amiibo and choose multiple miis to import? Or do you have to go one at a time and repeat the process?
One at a time
did you try it with an Amiibo registered through a 3DS?
how did you get a switch early from Nintendo
They are media
Is this the only way to transfer miis?
do it work with 3ds amiibo cards Too?
I know it won't delete my miis from my Wii U right?

Is there any way to get the Miis from the regular old Wii??

Does it transfer data like my Zelda save
Nope, just the Mii character.
Does this work with the 3DS as well?
Will all the Miis from the profile be transferred or will it just the one mii as shown on the Wii U profile
Only one mii
YOU CAN JUST USE AN AMIBO TO MOVE IT
Are the amiibos region locked? I have the PAL version of the console but I currently live in the US.
I doubt it. EB Games in Australia have had Japanese Amiibos at some point and I doubt they would do that if they were region locked.
