Simply brilliant ... thank you for sharing the magic...!!! Obviously it will work with a different number of piles - guess you are keeping the size of piles more manageable than say if it was three...
I like it, Very devious my friend basically you're keeping it the way it is after shuffled and they're basically telling you where their card is at.. lol I like that like it a lot good job!
Great trick! Thanks so much! I still don’t understand the trick even though I know quite a bit about card magic! I guess that’s the mark of a great trick, that is, you explain how to do a trick and I still don’t know how you are doing it! I’ll have to study this a few times and go thru the steps on myself! Thanks again, very tricky! Your friend, Barry
Cool trick. Might not work on my Dad though because sometimes he forgets his card😆 so a number along with it could get to much. Would probably have to get him to wright it down
Sorry, that wasn’t perfectly clear. In the example he gave, he had the ace of spades as the card to look for. I’m asking what happens if the person, when they cut the cards, cut the deck between the 4 spades and ace of spades (the key card and the picked card)?
@@ff784 take a another look at the routine - he moves all cards below the key card to the top - they will join back in their original order at the top..
Yeah, it took me a minute too, lol. Basically he *doesn't* know its the ace of spades. He only knows where their pile of cards is, the rest works itself out. In other words, what he's saying is to memorize the first card they put down so you will know exactly where their pile of cards is and you can put it on top of the deck. After that, the spectator tells you what position their card was in in the pile, so you just count down to it.
Took me 2 attempts as well. He sees the first card, 4 of spades and then asks him to count what position his card is. The cards never change position in realtion to the 4 of spades after that so later all he has to do is ask how many cards he counted and count to that card, which is the reveal
The director knows how many cards from the top of the packet the card is. The magician finds the packet (using the key card) and puts the packet on top. The magician doesn't yet know at that point what the card or the number is but counting that many cards from the top will bring you to the selected card. That's what makes it confusing is that at the time the magician makes the move, the magician doesn't need to know the answer.
The number is where his card is when he turns all the cards over. He's counting the cards and remembering what number position his card is in (the position is random, because even though he first mentally selected a card, he also mixed the cards up, then turned them over one by one while counting down to his card.)
I think the confusing part about the tutorial part is that the ace is the second card in the pile. When the participant is flipping over the cards to count where their card is in the pile, you keep track of the first card flipped over. This is the topmost card of their pile and called the key card. After they put the deck together again (and cut it), their pile is still in order within the deck. When you look through the deck "trying to find their card", you are actually looking for the key card (the first card in their pile). You will then take the card before it and place it on the table, and put all the rest of the cards before it keycard on the bottom of the deck. This will leave you with a deck in which their pile of cards is on top in the exact order they were in when they counted and found their card. So when they tell you what number/position the card is in, just take cards off the deck until that number is reach.... magic!
The card he knows would then move to the bottom of the deck and the cards in the chosen pile that follow would still be in order at the top of the deck. Same goes if the cut happened somewhere in the middle of the chosen pile as he would then put the cards that follow back on top of the deck
The cards in the pile that follow the known card will always be in order, regardless of the cut, because the known card is the first card of that pile. If the cut separates the pile, the card or cards that follow the known card will be at the bottom of the deck, with the rest at the top. He will just rejoin them by placing the bottom card or cards on top when he places the known card on the table. Looks deceiving but it works!
The spectator is thinking of the position they put the card in. When you cut to the key card, you are putting their card back to that position. In this video it was 2, but it would work at any position. Just try it and you’ll see.
You have some excellent tricks that I enjoy very much. However, could you please s-l-o-w down while you are giving the tutorial. You often times speak your words so fast it is hard to comprehend the instructions, even with CC it is hard to see what you are doing. Just a suggestion. 'Thanks'
I got it first try. It’s all about remember that first card they place down, and then making sure you cut the deck so that pile makes its way to the top
I've been watching your videos for the past two hours and I'm so happy to see that there is a new one! Thank you for sharing your knowledge

Great straightforward trick, time to practice, and perform.👍
Nice one!!! lots of practice needed but this could be a great one to try on friends

Did you get it ???
Wonderful trick! Easier to learn than some. Many thanks for this one.
did not understud @4:08 if not 2 if 15 then how its works, no relation with the key card. please explain
Ur retarded
Sounds awesome, will try😊

I am seeing the anorectal surgeon in a few weeks.
What happens if the section of cards get mixed in the cut?
they dont get "mixed" with the cut.

@@ff784if you are not confident you can ask to cut again to make it "more difficult", and then do the move again
awsome
The only caveat is that if they split the deck on the last cut at their card then the trick fails.
Yeah, I think forget the cut --- still a good trick without it.
Nope. Should work fine since you recut the deck with the key card (first card of their pile) on top when you put a card on the table
You know cutting the cards don't change the order.
Wait what if they don't say "2"?
It's great
We don't know how could I know the exact position of the ace of spades. Please explain it clearly.
in this case his card was on 2nd postion A ♤ ..if he has kept at 4th or 5th postion ?? thn.??. or it shld always be nxt to key card
Spectator say his number and you count from your keacard….to number he say….
Whow!!

@@Wiltz12couldn’t it change positions tho if they cut in the right position
Just watch it twice and you’ll get it
Having the kid cut the deck after the restack. There would small chance of rearranges the cards in such a way that the trick would not work, right?
Cut not shuffle. Cutting doesn't change the order
the number ur son choose does it have to be where his card is when he delt them upward or just a random number from his mind?
The number is where his card is when he turns all the cards over. He's counting the cards and remembering what number position his card is in (the position is random, because even though he first mentally selected a card, he also mixed the cards up, then turned them over one by one while counting down to his card.)
Watched this 4 times. Read a bunch of comments. And I still don’t get it.
I follow it until the about 3:30. Then despite the explanation, it is a mystery.
I think the confusing part about the tutorial part is that the ace is the second card in the pile.

Great trick! But isn’t the cut made at 3:15 risky? What if the cut between the secretly known card and their chosen card?
The card he knows would then move to the bottom of the deck and the cards in the chosen pile that follow would still be in order at the top of the deck. Same goes if the cut happened somewhere in the middle of the chosen pile as he would then put the cards that follow back on top of the deck
What if both choosen and known card are at the top . Then we will move the known card at bottom then trick will be failed
