  • In this video, I spent the day fishing the Truman Lake Dam tailrace! The US Army Corps of Engineers has been releasing a lot of water each day, due to the large amount of spring rains and flooding we've had here in Missouri on this beautiful Spring of 2024! When the dam is wide open like this, it creates a lot of current in the Osage River, flowing to the Lake of the Ozarks. This current encourages fish to swim upstream. Once these fish make it all the way to Truman Dam, they can't go any further and are therefore stuck. So basically, there are thousands of fish, RIGHT HERE, where I am fishing! That is what the hype is all about! If you want to learn more about fishing Truman lake, Lake of the Ozarks, or the Osage River for Crappie, White Bass, Walleye, or whatever else lurks in a tailrace, then THIS is the video for you!
