Great video ! Very informative and you're fun to watch I'm currently a pro player in fortnite and overwatch and I truly believe that joycons have the insane potential to push the controller community to new heights. Gyro controls have been proven to be the best control input method, even more so than mouse and keyboard. Pro-tip for anyone buying these joycons. Buy some thumb grip covers for it ASAP; steam deck lcd covers fit perfectly. Mobabad used some really bad material on the thumbsticks that cause it to yellow really fast even if you keep them clean. Mine have yellowed under 2 months of use despite keeping the controllers in a case while not being used.
They are not the only ones but it is not a common feature with 3rd party products. That said, these ones definitely do support amiibos and are SUPERB and an absolute treat to anyone! Cheers :)
Bro, that’s the BEST review of the Mobapad that I’ve found! I live in Brazil, so this kind of product is very expensive here, and I need to be sure that it’s good before buying it. The thing I care about most is the polling rate/latency, and this is the only video I’ve seen where someone gives it the proper attention! I also have two questions, is the performance on par with joy-cons when it comes to wireless? And do you know if the Mobapad M6 (the non-HD version) is as snappy as this one?
Glad you liked it! As for vs joycons, I'd say on par or better because as responsive as I feel they are, I also find the buttons to better lend themselves at a faster style of gameplay so superior if you ask me. I have never laid hands on the M6 non-HD version so I wouldn't know unfortunately. Cheers!
7:35 Did you notice the HD rumble on these doesn't perform quite as well when attached? Try it with Golf Story. The M6 HD can't perform the OOB tone when you lose the ball to the abyss. Let me know if you notice it.
I actually went in Golf Story, attached and all. It worked fine. Detached, worked, reattached, didn't work anymore. Restarted the game attached, tried, worked fine. I did the exact same process with 1st party official joycons and got the exact same results. As far as I'm concerned, the issue is with the game but to your point, I have seen games have different behavior with rumble from attached and detached, even Mario Wonders does that when stepping on musical notes. It's not unheard of and not specific to any controller as far as I know as that exact behavior can be observed on official joycons. Cheers!

Hello Klef, quick question. I have seen on reddit someone use standard switch joycons to attach to the rails of the onexplayer x1 mini. In your opinion, would these, in theory, be able to work on the mini?
Yes, now do keep in mind, the rails on the X1 and Mini are not readily capable of connecting with joycons. So I would assume that person 3D printed a mold to connect to the X1 rails and provide attachments for joycons, but the connection would still rely on Bluetooth. Look up GC Ultimate on Kickstarter. I think that'll be the next best Smash Controller but it is on crowdfunding right now so maybe not for everyone. If not for that one, the NYXI Warrior is a solid (and immediately) available solution.
G8+ from GameSir. When you get tempted to consider something else? Don’t. Go G8+, the only issue will be loving something else. 😅 I’m not even paid to say that.

Absolute. Best. D-Pad. On. Any. Switch. Controllers. (Plural is not a mistake)
I have this and the D-pad isn't perfect. It depends on what you're using it for. If it's for fighting games they're not that great cause of the switches. I actually prefer non switches when it comes to that. Everything else could be switches tho. The height is a little too tall for me too.
@@volcalstone Ok, you have my attention. Please tell me what is top tier for you because quite frankly, nothing EVER done it as good for me, and that’s coming from someone that thought only membrane keys were good for fighting games (input command-base a la SF and MK) of course, I’m not talking about Smash, that’s a different “fighting genre”. Genuinely, I’m into these things so I’ll try your recommandation, I’d love to see if I’ll have the same results, or maybe I would find it even better than Mobapad’s. Do keep in mind that issue is better mitigated on Switch OLED than Switch OG by nature as well. Cheers!
@@GameTechTalk Thank you so much for the detailed response, my friend! I really appreciate it
how about comparison with the original Joycon when playing games such as Nintendo Switch Sports which uses a motion sensor?
Fair enough, I'll add that to my list, doing the road I'd like to build myself a "check up chart" of tests to conduct. To provide a more thorough experience, thanks for your suggestion!
@GameTechTalk can't wait for your latest video that talks about motion sensors in mobapad 6hd compared to the original joycon
Love your videos❤
I am looking for a controller for iPad Air.
First option is G8+ (Thanks for the pop hack).
And this mobapad is suggested on the internet, with 3d print mount on the iPad can do the same as G8+.
I am concern after “The one con”
What do you suggested ?
Thank you!
I would recommend the G8+ for iPad. It's just very good especially at large devices!
@@GameTechTalk Thanks for your reply! Great content and very responsive.
I don't think you know the max poll rate of the Switch.
Which is the best smash controller (except for the oficial switch pro one)?
Look up GC Ultimate on Kickstarter. I think that'll be the next best Smash Controller but it is on crowdfunding right now so maybe not for everyone. If not for that one, the NYXI Warrior is a solid (and immediately) available solution.
Hi, what's the other controller on the right. Thanks
That would be the Scuf Nomad for iPhones. I have a review of it on my channel. Cheers!
Safe travels my dude!
Thank you General Dweeb! 🫡
can you recommend me a Bluetooth controller work with iPhone 15 pro max with thick case ?
G8+ from GameSir. When you get tempted to consider something else? Don’t. Go G8+, the only issue will be loving something else. 😅 I’m not even paid to say that.
@@GameTechTalk it is enough for me that the recommendation comes from you

bro finally got mobapads

Anyone know the best place to get these in the uk? 🇬🇧
@@Essjaythegreat probably from AliExpress, they're cheaper there as well
Can’t say that I do but if you don’t find anything, my link to their mobapad website has an extra discount!
It looks similar to bsp d8 pro
It may look similar but, and no offense to BSP, it’s night and day in terms of quality and components.

Sucks, that they suffer from gyro drift so bad😮💨
oh? Hasn't had that issue yet? Is it reported to be a deterioration kind of thing? I notice they are more responsive than native ones, maybe too responsive?
@@GameTechTalk no, i am pretty sure that original joy cons have best gyro compared to third party ones, i really want good split controller with gyro quality like alpakka or dualsense atleast but oh well, maybe in the future :)
@@BioShocklt Oh definitely, I'd take Dualsense's gyro over anything else too! I do like the direction Mobapad is going, hopefully we'll see more brands do the same to raise the competition, or for Mobapad to keep on improving on every front. Cheers!
@@GameTechTalk well alpakka is the best when it comes to gyro just because it uses dual gyro and each gyro is already the best gyro at the market but yeah dualsense is solid too!
don't need it I have a Steamdeck
Nothing wrong with that from where I stand! /salute
dpad is garbage.
Dude, I usually heart every comment, now this is not against you personally but under my watch, I just cannot let anyone think for a second that this d-pad is trash because not only is there definitely worst, I simply cannot stand by that statement. Not here to argue with you, you have every right to feel any type of way about the d-pad but I’ll stand 100% by a product, or at least a feature, that is every bit as good as what I experienced. The. Absolute. Best. D-Pad. On. Any.
Maybe I was on pinnacle physical condition that day 🤣 but again, nothing has come close currently.
@@GameTechTalk like for me prefer the D-pad on the G8+ over the M6 HD. The one on the G8+ isn't perfect as it's more tactile sounding than I would want. Now the one on the Coiorvis joy pad (OG Hori like) is nice and quiet plus they work great. Everyone's preference will be different but we could all agree that the D-pad on the Legion Go is trash tho no cap. 😁
@@volcalstone 🤣🤣🤣 Oh dang, I woke up the family sleeping from laughing out loud from the end of your comment. And you mentioned the COIORVIS? Alright I like you, even though I can’t agree on G8+’s d-pad but that’s the beauty of the internet isn’t it? I love it when we can have different opinions but still be able to talk, not always an option so thanks for that my dude!
