Unsolicited teacher advice (I've been teaching for 25+ years): if you store your dry erase markers with the tips down, they will last so much longer 😊 Gravity pulls the ink towards the tip and keeps it from drying out 🤩🤓

This makes so much sense! I guess, this also count for pens and such too.

Name tags for tables and extra supplies for your new classroom and storage space and organize cubes and shelves bins

As a SPED teacher, I have to say kudos to calm and organized bulletin boards. I can tell you are setting up your classroom with your students in mind. Great job! I hope you have a great year!💛

I used fabric on bulletin boards when I taught. I was able to reuse the pieces for several years.

I am a high school (age 12 to 15) teacher in the Netherlands but originally from Canada. Going back to teaching in a new school after about 4 months of sick leave due to burn out and a school that was not a match. Very nervous to go back and start at a new school but trying to get excited for it again and collecting ideas by watching classroom st up videos.

I know Better Than Paper is what's popular now, but I'm old school. I use regular bulletin board paper. I've been using it for 3 decades. It is no trouble putting it up. I usually don't change them. I've learned some time-saving tricks over the years. Plus, it's free, purchased by my school. 😊

I came from schools with strict fire code restrictions and it was tough not being able to hang things from ceilings, and we could not use any fabric, etc., in our classrooms. But, it still came out really nice, and I didn't feel like I was missing out.

I love the partner cards you use for your students. Where did you find those?

This is such a pretty and cozy classroom already. Don't feel bad for not being able to bring extra furniture in, the most important in the classroom is you and your students. Everything else is only a bonus anyway :)

You may be able to request another book shelf for your library or whatever, no harm in asking.

I teach fourth grade. We read First Day Jitters and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing at the beginning of each year. My district also uses CKLA, so if you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Also, I would never give away my Harry Potter books. They are golden to me. I read H.P. and the Sorcerer's Stone as our last unit each year. It is what students in my school look forward to most when they reach the fourth grade!

Another book to add to your read aloud bin is The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. One of the challenges with butterfly style seating is that some of the desks will tend to creep up slowly over time. Take care, and thank you for your video presentation.

You can create a bulletin board for the students '. You just need to put a few papers on it that say " Under Construction" or " Coming Soon". Then it's ready when you do have student work.

I'm used to strict fire codes so I would ask about the Better than Paper because it's essentially plastic. I've had to get rid of mine before for that reason 😢
